00:00Dumpster diving.
00:02I will do anything to get the blow molds.
00:06Mom here.
00:07What are you guys up to?
00:09Hi!
00:10Look at you, all dressed as a menorah.
00:13You need a hat?
00:14I've been planning these parties for 40 years.
00:17It's time for you guys to take on this party.
00:23Hey fans, it's the King of Christmas.
00:25Did you get this Santa?
00:27We have to go pick it up.
00:28Hurry up.
00:30Unbelievable.
00:33Death of a horse with boughs of heart.
00:37La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la.
00:40Tis the season to be Johnny.
00:46Hey, Brand.
00:47Wanna go to lunch?
00:49Well, I'm having a little bit of a problem right now
00:51because I can't find the angel teddy bear blow mold anywhere.
00:55And I know I have it.
00:56I just don't know where we have it.
00:58My name is Brandon.
00:59I live in Uni Beach with my mom, Lori.
01:01And I am a first grade teacher.
01:03I don't see any bears under there.
01:06I see lots of reindeer.
01:08So Lori lives in my house with all of my Christmas decorations.
01:11I don't think so.
01:13I think you live in my house.
01:19I kind of look at it as a best friendship at this point.
01:22We've just grown together.
01:23We've grown up together, I think, in some ways.
01:26I got my love of Christmas really from her.
01:30Besties for the resties.
01:31Besties for the resties.
01:32That's it.
01:35Hey, what's up?
01:36Hi.
01:37How's it going?
01:38Good to see you.
01:39This is for you.
01:40Oh, thank you.
01:41You're welcome.
01:42Wow, I love that.
01:43My name's Amanda.
01:44Brandon had a Christmas in July party a few weeks ago
01:46and I wasn't able to attend, so I wanted to bring over a gift.
01:49This is my mom, Lori.
01:50You remember her, right?
01:51Hi.
01:52Nice to see you.
01:53Nice to see you again.
01:54Oh, my gosh.
01:55The trees?
01:56Yes.
01:57Oh, my gosh, Brandon.
01:59Does that stay up all year?
02:00All year.
02:01We got a lot of things, like I'm refinishing some things.
02:04We have, like, that was for my party.
02:06People could sign them and everything, which is really neat.
02:09I love that.
02:10Yeah.
02:11And the little balloons.
02:12The balloons.
02:13It's summertime, so walking into here,
02:15I was not expecting to see all the Christmas trees,
02:17all the decorations already up.
02:19I was blown away.
02:20I was shocked.
02:21I love it.
02:22But that's not all.
02:23I mean, there's other things.
02:24Oh, yeah, you have to come.
02:25There's more.
02:26You have to see the other rooms with the trees.
02:27Oh, my goodness.
02:28The trees.
02:30Well, Brandon's been into Christmas since he was two.
02:34He used to decorate his room.
02:36He wanted his own tree.
02:37I am obsessed with Christmas.
02:39We definitely have some rare pieces and they're going to be out.
02:42I want you to be able to see them.
02:44It's cool that people, like, appreciate the uniqueness of them.
02:49We are sort of famous for doing the lights.
02:52People recognize us all the time, like, wherever we go.
02:55Or they'll be like, you're the people that do that house.
02:57And I'm like, yep.
03:07Is this your garage?
03:08It was our garage.
03:09It was supposed to be from my car, but it's no longer.
03:13I knew you were crazy about Christmas, but not this crazy.
03:18Just a little bit.
03:20What is this, Brandon?
03:21I would just be careful because you might have an avalanche.
03:24I'm going to keep this shut down.
03:25Everything's good.
03:26Yeah.
03:27I just got it.
03:28I've never seen anything like this.
03:29Well, just wait.
03:32Wait, there's more?
03:34That's not even a quarter of it.
03:36Yeah.
03:37A quarter?
03:38There is a major obsession with the blow mold figures for the yard.
03:43We have well over 2,000 blow molds.
03:45There could be more.
03:46It is always a challenge to be like, well, I think we have this one,
03:49but I don't even know how many we have or something like that.
03:52I feel like I get torn.
03:54Like, it's too much.
03:55And then I'm like, but he really loves them and it makes people happy.
03:59You got to just say there's stuff everywhere.
04:02More.
04:03More light up stuff.
04:04Look in there.
04:05Under my pool deck.
04:06All the way to the end.
04:07This is crazy.
04:09It's crazy.
04:10So the garage, all of this.
04:13All of this.
04:14And there's more.
04:15And there's more.
04:17Yep.
04:18Brandon, how do you even know what's in here?
04:21I found a deer.
04:22Oh my God.
04:25Oh my God.
04:26I'm standing back.
04:28I really love blow molds so much because they're just really simple.
04:32They're just a piece of plastic that just has a light inside.
04:36My love of blow molds started when I was very young.
04:39And I just think they're so cool.
04:41They're so colorful and they evoke such nostalgic, fun Christmas memories.
04:46Oh my God.
04:47What just fell on me?
04:48Oh my God.
04:49There's a bug.
04:51And then we got tons of stuff over in here.
04:55Just stay back for a minute.
04:57Oh.
05:00So.
05:01Brandon.
05:06Am I a hoarder?
05:07The day old holiday question here.
05:10Yeah.
05:11That is insane.
05:12Yep.
05:13Merry Christmas, everyone.
05:15Maybe like I'm on the cusp of being a hoarder.
05:18Over here.
05:19Oh my God.
05:20Almost got taken down by the soldier.
05:23I think I'm a collector.
05:24We'll use the C word instead.
05:26I'm a collector.
05:27I disagree with collector.
05:29I call it hoarding because he can't just have one of something.
05:31He has to have, you know, multiples of everything.
05:34And he, he doesn't like to part with things.
05:36Like I have no, I have no space in this house.
05:39I feel like I have my room and my bathroom and that's about it.
05:44Okay.
05:46So I'll put this guy down here and let me open this one up.
05:53Just a couple more.
05:54I don't know if me gifting you this was necessary.
05:57Well, actually funny you should say that.
06:01There's one.
06:03I should have known that you'd already have this.
06:06But wait, they're triplets now though.
06:09So that's exciting.
06:10Oh my God.
06:11Well, I love that there's three of them.
06:12Right.
06:13Now they're like friends.
06:14Where'd you get them all?
06:15Yard sales, flea markets, dumpster diving.
06:19Wow.
06:20Merry Christmas.
06:31All right, Bill.
06:32Let's see what else we can use.
06:35What's your focus?
06:36Focus right now is the dining room.
06:38Because I want to give it that Gilded Age look.
06:40Oh my gosh.
06:42I'm Mario and this is Bill.
06:44And we live in Yonkers, New York.
06:46We work together.
06:48We run a retail store for 28 years.
06:51And we're there every day.
06:54You know, we're inseparable.
06:56I agree.
06:58These soldiers are actually going to go upstairs this year.
07:01They're not going to go in the dining room
07:02because they don't fit in with that theme.
07:04I was always fascinated by Christmas as a child.
07:07I just love the sparkle and the whole magical theme behind it.
07:11It's just, it's the best time of the year.
07:14And then where are these going to go?
07:15Well, these are the roots for the staircase.
07:17We met in high school in 1986.
07:19We were friends for quite a number of years.
07:21And then it just morphed into a relationship.
07:24And the rest is history.
07:26I'm the trophy.
07:27All right, Bill.
07:28What are you going to bring up?
07:30So for my vision, I think we're going to bring up the golden white Santa.
07:37Because he'll work in with that theme.
07:40All right.
07:41You got it.
07:42I've got him.
07:43My Christmas decorating style, it's like couture clothing.
07:48It's perfection.
07:50So I want you to grab the nutcracker butler.
07:55Okay.
07:56Whether it's my Santas or my Christmas trees, my ornaments, everything is like a couture garment.
08:04Look at these ornaments.
08:05They have that old world golden age look.
08:08Oh, yeah, yeah.
08:09Every year the collection grows.
08:11Those are all ornaments there.
08:12I have my small reeds here for the window.
08:14Oh, my gosh.
08:15I have all these trees.
08:16I've got these guys, these nutcrackers here.
08:19I don't think it's a hoard.
08:21It's not a hoard if it's good .
08:23These are the soldiers that are going to go upstairs this year.
08:26They used to be in the dining room.
08:27Gosh, you're buying a lot of stuff.
08:28I mean, I'm the king of Christmas, so it has to be more.
08:31More is not more for me.
08:33I could take a collection and I could pick, you know, my favorite and take some away.
08:38I cannot get rid of them.
08:41I can't.
08:42This is the last one, right?
08:44Oh, no, Bill.
08:45There's dozens more after this.
08:47As a child, I would, you know, decorate the ceiling or the walls.
08:51And one year, my sister-in-law said, oh, Mariam, you're the king of Christmas.
08:56I must have been maybe 10 or 11 years old when she said that.
08:59And to this day, it stuck with me.
09:01So when I started my social media, I said, oh, what am I going to call this, you know?
09:06And I said, I'm going to call it official king of Christmas.
09:11All right.
09:12I love this guy.
09:13He's going to look great.
09:15Color scheme is perfect.
09:20Takes up a lot of room.
09:22Yeah, but look how good you look together.
09:24Hello.
09:25Billy and Santa.
09:27Oh, my gosh.
09:28How great is that?
09:29That's beautiful.
09:30A great bit.
09:31Perfect.
09:32He rushes it.
09:34It's like rushing my life.
09:37I want to enjoy, you know, the summer and all that.
09:42But the minute July 4th passes, he's like, summer's over.
09:45Game on.
09:46It's game on.
09:47The entire house is decorated from top to bottom in Christmas.
09:52And it debuts on social media at 8 p.m. on Halloween night.
09:56Everybody loves it.
09:57My followers on social media continues to grow, and I want that.
10:02And then you're going to do tree in a tree?
10:04So I'm thinking my new couture Santa, and maybe how about two more couture Santas on either side.
10:10I could always replace the tree with a pair of nutcrackers.
10:15Actually, they might work with my couture Santa.
10:19Now, did you get this Santa?
10:21Uh, no.
10:22Is it coming in the mail?
10:23It is not coming in the mail.
10:24It can't be shipped.
10:25Oh.
10:26We have to go pick it up.
10:27Where?
10:28Um, I can't tell you just yet.
10:30Oh.
10:31My artist who makes my Santas, who I will never reveal, pretty much whatever she creates,
10:39I scoop up.
10:42Here we are.
10:44Wow, there's a lot in there.
10:47There are a lot.
10:49I actually have the largest collection of her creations than anyone else.
10:53Some people might have one or two.
10:54I have almost 30 or 40 pieces.
10:57I keep all my handmade Santas in a cabinet in my dressing room so that every morning,
11:04I can open up that cabinet and say, good morning, friends, and start my day happy.
11:10Because looking at them makes me happy.
11:12I'm just happy with a cup of coffee.
11:15Okay, so just so I know, when you go, when you die, do you want this cremated with you?
11:24You know, that wouldn't be a bad idea.
11:28Or maybe you could just cremate me and buy me a mausoleum and put these all on the shelf surrounding me.
11:33Yeah, I'll figure it out.
11:35Whatever.
11:36Okay.
11:39It's menorah madness heaven.
11:42And it can be all yours.
11:45I'm not doing it.
11:46I can't.
11:47There's a lot of branches in my way.
11:49I don't think we should be taking stuff out of there.
11:51I knew there would be Christmas stuff in here.
11:53It's a little messy in here.
12:02I've been going through things.
12:09What are these, Mom?
12:10Cute little manorahs.
12:12Aren't they adorable?
12:14I found these really cute hats and a wig.
12:17Oh, be careful.
12:18And I wanted to see what you look like in them.
12:22My name is Flo and I'm from New Jersey.
12:25You try it on.
12:26Let's see how it looks.
12:27Come on, honey.
12:28You look good in blue.
12:29Okay.
12:30Let's see.
12:31Oh, look how chic you are.
12:33I love it.
12:34Oh, wow.
12:35I love the Hanukkah holiday because it makes me feel joyful and appreciate all of the miracles
12:42in life.
12:43We could match with the headbands.
12:44It would be so cute.
12:45Let's see.
12:46Oh, that is adorable.
12:48Do I have a lot of stuff?
12:50Absolutely.
12:51And I'm proud of it.
12:52My dreidel divas.
12:54I love it.
12:55I'm Tara.
12:56I'm Flo's oldest daughter.
12:57And I'm Lauren and I'm Flo's youngest daughter.
13:03Over the past 20 years, she has started collecting more, shopping.
13:07Can we just talk wrapping paper for a second?
13:09Sure.
13:10Okay.
13:11We're good this year, Mom.
13:12I think you're really good if you could see, like, look at all this.
13:14She's got, like, 50 rolls.
13:16Anything she finds Hanukkah, she purchases.
13:19You should see the pajamas I got for everybody.
13:22She's also very crafty, so she makes some of these things herself.
13:25Look at this.
13:26This one shimmies.
13:28Oh.
13:29It shimmies.
13:30It shakes and shimmies and shines.
13:32Don't you love it?
13:33Oh.
13:34The internet is her friend.
13:35This is an invention that you won't believe.
13:39When you screw this onto the nozzle of your faucet, it turns the water blue.
13:46Oh.
13:47So it's perfect for Hanukkah.
13:48And if it's not available online, she will have it custom-made.
13:52Oh, my gosh.
13:53That is my extra-large menorah.
13:56You think that's big?
13:58I found one that's three times the size.
14:01Mom, you didn't get it.
14:02No.
14:03They're holding it for me.
14:04I'm picking it up.
14:05Mom, Mom.
14:06You don't need it.
14:07I don't know when you might need something like this.
14:09I know.
14:10I know you won't.
14:11I don't think I'm a hoarder.
14:13Does anybody need any shopping bags for Hanukkah?
14:16I have quite a few.
14:18No.
14:19I know my way around my basement.
14:21Be careful, Mom.
14:22There's, like, so much here.
14:23No, I'm fine.
14:24I don't want you to sit.
14:25Okay.
14:26I'm fine.
14:27Menorah Madness, it's the most over-the-top Hanukkah party you have ever seen.
14:32We probably need a few more things to make it look nice and full.
14:35Why don't you grab this tower?
14:36This one.
14:37Let's grab this one.
14:38Oh, here.
14:39There's, like, three.
14:40You like those?
14:41They're cute, aren't they?
14:42Wait, Mom.
14:43We're taking this, right?
14:44They're cute.
14:45Hanukkah is a tradition that we look forward to every single year.
14:47And as the family grows, it seems that the party grows.
14:50You know what?
14:52It would really be great for you guys to take on this party.
14:56My parents were Holocaust survivors and went on to lead productive lives.
15:03It's a miracle.
15:04So that also has perpetuated me wanting to, continuing to honor the miracle.
15:11I know that you have what it takes to do this.
15:16So what do you think?
15:18Mom, you're a Hanukkah legacy in this family.
15:22I don't think we could ever, ever meet these standards.
15:25No, we could absolutely not.
15:26And Laura does Thanksgiving right before.
15:29Sometimes it's even, like, right around the corner.
15:31So pleasant.
15:32Tara, you do Mother's Day.
15:33That's kind of her holiday.
15:34I hope my daughters will take over Manorah Madness.
15:39Even though they share with me their feelings about the voluminous amount of things I have Hanukkah-related,
15:47they love this party.
15:49Tara, you have a garage?
15:52What's important is that they continue the tradition,
15:55that they recognize the miracle of this holiday.
15:59Maybe it'll just take a little convincing,
16:01but I have to go get changed for the party.
16:04The guests will be arriving soon.
16:06That should be enough.
16:07Ah, you know what I forgot about?
16:10Look.
16:11Blue toilet seat.
16:13I've used it before.
16:15It got rave reviews.
16:23Can't wait to see what they have.
16:24I know. I might find something good here.
16:25You might.
16:26It really is that thrill of the hunt.
16:29And as a collector, I'm like always seeking the next cool thing for my holiday displays.
16:34They got a lot of trees.
16:36Oh my gosh.
16:38Wow.
16:39I like that one.
16:40I think that one's a blow mold tree.
16:41There's this antique store in a town over from us.
16:44And that's one of my main spots to go and hunt for the blow molds.
16:50Hey guys.
16:51Hi.
16:52Hey, how are you?
16:53Good. How's it going?
16:54Good.
16:55Just on my blow mold hunt.
16:56You got any new ones?
16:57We might have some special ones.
16:58All right.
16:59I'll let you take a look through the basement maybe.
17:00All right.
17:01Oh, I love that.
17:02You guys are good.
17:03When you are like a serious collector, you build these connections with community people.
17:08And you become friends with the shop owners at the antique places.
17:11Oh, remember, we're looking for an angel teddy bear.
17:15There is a very large blow mold community.
17:18It's a nice community of people who enjoy the same thing as you.
17:21Like if somebody has one they don't have, I think it's cool.
17:23You know?
17:24I'm like, oh, I need that one.
17:25Like the other day, someone posted a rare teddy bear angel blow mold that I thought I had,
17:30but I can't find it.
17:31Yeah.
17:32Oh my God.
17:34All right.
17:35Well, I don't think it's in here either.
17:38I really felt confident in this one.
17:41Knowing that, okay, this is out there and now I need to be able to hunt it down and be able to find it.
17:48That's the thrill of it.
17:49Finding the piece that maybe you don't have.
17:51I don't need a flashlight yet.
17:53I'm a little nervous.
17:55Looks dark in here.
17:57A lot of equipment.
17:59Oh God.
18:00Lots of music stuff.
18:01Lots of music stuff.
18:02I like that.
18:03There's a lot of Christmas stuff in here, so.
18:05They do.
18:08That's terrifying.
18:09Yeah.
18:10Thank goodness we have a flashlight.
18:11Oh, there's more blow molds up there, Brent.
18:15Oh my God.
18:17It's a blow mold goose wearing a guitar.
18:20Oh my God.
18:21It's a wig.
18:22It has a wig.
18:24You could dress them up as a Santa suit.
18:26I have to have this, I think.
18:27Oh my gosh.
18:28Do we need it?
18:29Add to cart.
18:30Add to cart.
18:31Great.
18:32I've spent more than what people would pay for a house, I think, on blow molds.
18:36Last year alone, I think we spent like $17,000 on Christmas decorations.
18:39Which is crazy.
18:40This is why you can't get your own place.
18:42Do you realize you could pay off all your debt and then still have money in the bank if
18:46you sold some of this stuff?
18:48Minimal.
18:49Minimal.
18:50No debt.
18:51Minimal.
18:52Minimal.
18:53Minimal.
18:54No debt.
18:55I don't know if I've ever actually gone this deep into the basement.
18:58Look.
19:00Nice.
19:01I'm going to have to go digging in there.
19:04Good luck.
19:05Oh my God.
19:06There's a lot.
19:07But now I have to know what else.
19:09I don't know how to get in here.
19:11Don't stand up.
19:12Well, I don't think I could stand up if I wanted to.
19:14It's funny to try.
19:15There's stuff all the way in the back.
19:16I could see it.
19:17Yeah, there's blow molds all the way back there.
19:19Maybe you'll find your teddy bear angel.
19:21There are also spider webs and that's going to be a little bit of a problem.
19:27I will do anything to get the blow molds, whether that be dumpster diving, pulling them off the side of the road, picking them up from friends, cutting open boxes at box stores.
19:40He's insane.
19:41Isn't he a wreck?
19:44If there is a way to get them, I will find it and I will get them.
19:48Oh, Santa.
19:49Hello, Santa.
19:50Oh my God.
19:52I smacked my head so fricking hard.
19:54You're not going to believe what's back here.
20:04They got the Santa with the puppy, but I'm not seeing the one we're after.
20:11All right.
20:12Well, let's go.
20:13All right.
20:14But I am going to get the goose.
20:15That was like a treasure hunt almost.
20:17So my knees didn't like it.
20:20It's the best goose I've ever seen in my life.
20:22Yeah, but you're paying.
20:24We got the holiday goose, so.
20:27That's cool.
20:28That's a good piece.
20:29Yeah, I like the goose.
20:30Can we do 20 bucks on the goose?
20:31We can do it.
20:32Do it for them.
20:33Yup.
20:34They're our regular good customers.
20:35You got your goose for 20 bucks.
20:40Now, where are we going?
20:42Well, I can't tell you that just yet.
20:45Okay.
20:46You'll see as we go.
20:48So, uh, Bill's taking the ride with me to pick up my new Santa from my secret Santa Lady.
20:55I have the cream of the crop.
20:56I have the best of the best.
20:57There are people out there that don't have some of the pieces that I have.
21:01And I don't want anyone else having her Santas, her creations.
21:06Every time I meet with her, it's a different location because I'm so worried that somebody's following me.
21:12Oh, gosh.
21:13Are you for real?
21:14It happens.
21:15People hide in the bushes.
21:16Oh, boy.
21:17Oh, I'll be excited to meet her.
21:20No, Bill.
21:21Nobody gets to meet her.
21:23She is my secret, just like Santa is a secret.
21:26She is my Santa.
21:27Jesus.
21:28Who were you worried about knowing?
21:30Well, I'm worried that family and friends and even my followers on King of Christmas will,
21:36you know, eventually know who she is.
21:38And then you don't want her busy on other people's stuff.
21:41I don't want...
21:42Correct.
21:43I'm just afraid that I won't get the half a dozen that I want every year.
21:47Wait a minute.
21:49You don't buy six a year.
21:51Well, if you count...
21:53I buy them as early as January and as, you know, as far as December.
21:58That's getting crazy.
21:59Wish me luck, Bill.
22:00Ah, yeah, you got it.
22:01Go ahead.
22:02All right.
22:03I know I got this.
22:04Hurry up.
22:05All right.
22:06Awesome.
22:07Then I want my wine.
22:08You'll get your wine.
22:09All right.
22:10Okay.
22:11Hurry up.
22:12Unbelievable.
22:13Bill has a cute butt.
22:26Darn fuck.
22:28This is ridiculous.
22:29This is ridiculous.
22:30Come on.
22:31I got it, Bill.
22:32Great.
22:33I did it.
22:34I got it.
22:35I'm so excited.
22:36There's a lot of bugs.
22:37Can't wait to see it.
22:38All right.
22:39Calm down with the bugs.
22:40Calm down.
22:41Oh, my gosh.
22:42The minute I saw it, had tears in my eyes.
22:45Oh, my goodness.
22:46It happens.
22:47You know, I get emotional over them.
22:50I couldn't have dreamt what she came up with.
22:53Magnificent.
22:56Bill, this is the best she's ever made.
22:58Wow.
22:59Look at this hat.
23:00Look.
23:01She created the hat out of old Gucci fabric.
23:04It's definitely extremely special.
23:07Probably more special than the other pieces in the collection.
23:11Look at this lace trim going around his coat and this beautiful, beautiful crushed velvet fabric.
23:19Everything about this is just perfect.
23:22It's beautiful.
23:25That's it?
23:26That's all you got?
23:27It's beautiful.
23:28Yeah.
23:29It's breathtaking.
23:30It's spectacular.
23:33It's breathtaking.
23:34It's spectacular.
23:36It is the best.
23:37So you're happy.
23:38I am ecstatic.
23:39Good.
23:45All right.
23:46Let's see what we find.
23:48All right.
23:49Where should we look?
23:50I think we should go down the dock.
23:51Down by the beachfront.
23:52Yeah.
23:53And then maybe up around the beachfront.
23:54That sounds good.
23:56This is my favorite day to look for stuff because it's trash day.
23:59It is trash day.
24:00So we are going to be on the hunt.
24:02We are after the angel teddy bear blow mold.
24:05So I am searching high and low for this piece because it would be wonderful to have this,
24:11like, diamond in the rough piece a part of all of my future holiday displays.
24:18More garbage.
24:19Garbage.
24:20My favorite.
24:21Blow molds.
24:22Blow molds.
24:23This street's got some garbage cans.
24:25That one's over there.
24:27Oh, that's like recycling cans.
24:28That's recycling, yeah.
24:29Plastic at least.
24:30Yeah, it is plastic.
24:31Not the kind of plastic you want, but it's plastic.
24:34As a teacher, definitely don't make the most amount of money.
24:37Garbage picking is how I find a lot of our blow molds and a lot of the pieces that we use in our displays.
24:42I mean, I have no shame.
24:43I'll just pull over and go get it.
24:46Bull pickup day, the best day ever.
24:48Oh, forget it.
24:49It's like his birthday.
24:50Surprise!
24:51Yeah, it's like a holiday, you know?
24:52Second Christmas.
24:53Bull pickup day.
24:55See anything?
24:56I'm gonna just go take a look.
25:04Nothing?
25:05All the garbage was picked up on this block.
25:07Oh, God.
25:10Is it surprising to see him go trash picking?
25:13Because you have to do it with him.
25:14It's kind of scary in a way because you don't know how people are going to react to it.
25:17And, you know, and they're probably thinking you're crazy.
25:19Why are you going through somebody's garbage?
25:21But it would support anything that he wants to do in his life.
25:24And that's part of the problem is I think I'm an enabler.
25:27If I wasn't, we wouldn't be in this position.
25:30It's all coming out.
25:32So there you go.
25:34But that's my thing.
25:36Like, he does it to make people happy.
25:38And people are genuinely happy when they come to see the display.
25:42Oh, stop, stop, stop.
25:43I think I see a blow mold in the trash.
25:45Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
25:46Wait, wait, wait.
25:55Ooh.
25:57The thing is, I'm not just picking up garbage.
26:01I pulled busted blow molds out of the garbage just to take the light kits.
26:04Or, like, the eyeballs.
26:05Just to take, you know, the pieces that I know I could fix another one with.
26:13Huh.
26:14What the you doing?
26:15Oh.
26:16What are you saying you're doing?
26:17You're looking for garbage, bro.
26:19I gotta blow mold.
26:24That guy was like, hey, what the you doing?
26:27I'm like, um, just trying to live my life, dude.
26:30I don't know.
26:31That's funny.
26:32When you're on the hunt and you do crazy things like garbage picking and dumpster diving,
26:36you do get confronted by people.
26:38It's almost like a panic a little bit.
26:40You're like, um, well, uh, I'm gonna take this and just, I'm gonna run with it.
26:44All right, well, I found a blow mold.
26:46It's broken.
26:47A little cracked.
26:48We could fix it.
26:49A little.
26:50No blow mold left behind.
26:51It is the sickness.
26:52You know this, right?
26:53One man's junk is another man's treasure, right?
26:56Oh.
26:58You remember years ago when we started using bagels and latkes and they look nice on your
27:05tree?
27:06They look really nice, right?
27:07They look good enough to eat, but they're not.
27:10Okay?
27:11He's a big one.
27:12Yeah, so here, scissors, just be very gentle.
27:14Cut the fabric.
27:15I know how to cut plastic.
27:16All right.
27:17Look.
27:18All right.
27:19Okay, Bill.
27:20I'm cutting fine.
27:21Don't worry.
27:22Oh.
27:28Hello.
27:29Hello.
27:30Here's some Hanukkah gelt for you.
27:33We have costumes here if you'd like to wear one.
27:37We are doing a pre-Minorah Madness party to convince my daughters to continue this tradition.
27:45So, we did it early and invited a bunch of guests.
27:50Look at you, all dressed as a menorah.
27:53You need a hat to go with that.
27:55To continue to impress upon my daughters how important it is for them to pass this idea
28:04through the generations.
28:05Oh, look at Rabbi Pat.
28:07I would never have recognized this good Catholic girl, not to let it be part of history.
28:19Look at these people.
28:20You can see how much fun they're having.
28:22They are.
28:23They are walking around.
28:24Great.
28:25There's menorahs.
28:26There's rabbis.
28:27There's dreidels.
28:28No detail was left undone between the decorations, the costumes, all the details.
28:37It was just a once in a lifetime celebration for me.
28:43Never been to anything like it before.
28:45It's menorah madness heaven, and it can be all yours.
28:50Oh, you better greet your guests, Mom.
28:51Yeah, get the door.
28:52Yeah, get the door.
28:53Go ahead.
28:54Hi.
28:55I can't.
28:56I'm not doing it.
28:57I can't.
28:58We do love menorah madness.
28:59Absolutely.
29:00It's like you enter into this Hanukkah world when you come in here, so it's really neat
29:04to have the gift of that.
29:06Did it inspire you?
29:08It inspired me to come back and see what my mom does next year.
29:13Girls, come over here.
29:16Okay.
29:17You remember years ago when we started using bagels and latkes.
29:22It must have been, what, 20 years ago you varnished these?
29:25Probably more than 20 years ago.
29:26Probably 25 years ago.
29:27Yeah.
29:28And these potato pancakes that you varnished.
29:30Right.
29:31What do you think of them?
29:32They look nice on your tray.
29:34They look really nice, right?
29:36I use them every year as part of my decoration.
29:40They look good enough to eat, but they're not.
29:43When you take over this party, you can hang them wherever you want.
29:48We don't want that.
29:49That's too much.
29:50You keep this.
29:51Mom, this is your thing.
29:52You know what?
29:53One day when we take over Hanukkah, we'll have our own twist on it.
29:56Ah, I gotcha.
29:57You said you were taking it over.
29:59Mom, I didn't mean take over a manover of madness.
30:01Oh.
30:02You did.
30:03I heard you, because I didn't say it.
30:04Small scale.
30:05I think they didn't get that on tape, right?
30:06Yeah.
30:07No, they did.
30:08I would be willing to take it over at a fraction of what she does.
30:13It would not look like this.
30:14Absolutely.
30:15I won't be doing that, but I'll take little pieces.
30:20So I'd like to welcome you all to Manorah Madness.
30:25I have been holding this party for about 40 years.
30:34In thinking about this, however, I would like to make an announcement that I will be passing
30:42the baton to my capable daughters, Tara and Lauren.
30:52Let's give them a round of applause.
30:56I knew I was going to put my daughters on the spot.
30:59But that was the only way I felt that I could be successful in my mission.
31:05And happy Hanukkah.
31:06Enjoy.
31:07Happy Hanukkah.
31:08Happy Hanukkah.
31:09Yeah.
31:10Don't ever expect this again if we're taking over.
31:13If you would like to have a Manorah Madness party, this is all you need.
31:24A step-by-step manual to successful Manorah Madness parties.
31:29You will absolutely be met with success.
31:32Try it.
31:33Yeah, my friend told me that there was an estate sale here the other day.
31:44I don't know.
31:45I don't know either.
31:46Well, guess we'll find out.
31:48Well, this is it.
31:51What do you think they have?
31:52I mean, I don't know.
31:53What do you think they have?
31:54Wait, don't go in there.
31:55Let me see if there's somebody home.
31:56I'm ready to dive in.
31:57I'm not going to lie to you because I think I see something.
31:58I know, but we have to make sure.
31:59There might be some good stuff in here.
32:02We are after the angel teddy bear blow mold.
32:06This item's so rare and so hard to find and so sought after that you have to do some extreme things sometimes.
32:12Be careful.
32:14Yeah, no, that's not too sturdy, but...
32:16You have to go garbage picking and thrifting and dumpster diving and things like that.
32:22There's a lot of branches in my way.
32:24Wait.
32:25I don't think we should be taking stuff out of there.
32:28Oh, my gosh.
32:29Oh, my gosh.
32:30He will do anything to get a blow mold.
32:32I mean, the first time he did it, I think I was a little taken back by it because I'm like,
32:35you're really going to jump into a dirty dumpster to, like, look through to see what's in there?
32:40That's a little crazy.
32:41People probably have a camera on their house and we're going to get videos.
32:47That won't be the first time or the last time I'm on somebody's camera for dumpster diving.
32:51Oh, what do we got going on over here?
32:53What we do?
32:54I knew there would be Christmas stuff in here.
32:56Oh, my gosh.
32:57Is it a blow mold?
32:58I can't see.
32:59Come on.
33:01Who would throw that away?
33:02Do you need that?
33:04I need a prize, so, from dumping, going in the dumpster.
33:09Come on now.
33:10It's broken.
33:12It's dented.
33:14I am doing the Earth a service.
33:17That piece did not have to go to the landfill.
33:19And it's single-handedly because of me.
33:23I can't even argue with that.
33:28Well, where there's one, there's more.
33:30So, there's definitely going to be another light bulb in here somewhere, I'm sure.
33:33Or something else, Christmas, or...
33:37Come on, what are you guys up to?
33:40Hey, how are you?
33:42Are you guys moving in soon?
33:45Oh, no.
33:46We don't live here.
33:47I just kind of used this dumpster as my digging spot today.
33:52Do you have permission?
33:54Um...
34:00Do you have permission?
34:01Um...
34:02For my homeowner?
34:03I wouldn't say permission, but, uh...
34:06Are you that Christmas guy?
34:08Oh, of course.
34:09Yes.
34:10People will talk about you.
34:12Thousands and thousands and thousands of lights on your house.
34:14Correct.
34:15Still looking for more.
34:16And all decorations.
34:17Yep.
34:18I've heard about you.
34:19That's so funny.
34:20That is funny.
34:21You gotta come over.
34:22Well, hey, you get to see the hunt first hand.
34:23Well, have a good day now.
34:24Nice to meet you guys.
34:25Nice to meet you, too.
34:26Bye.
34:27Ah.
34:28Twins.
34:29Twins.
34:30It's winning.
34:31Catch.
34:33Even though we didn't find the angel teddy bear blow molds, the hunt still continues.
34:37Like, you don't ever get, like, a discouraged moment.
34:39You're like, oh, well, now I'm done.
34:41I'm not gonna go look.
34:42If anything, that makes you want to go find it even more.
34:44More.
34:45Because now you've, like, struck out.
34:47And you're like, all right, well, now, you know, we gotta keep going.
34:49We gotta get it.
34:50Yeah.
34:51We gotta find it.
34:52I'll make it work.
34:53If you say so.
35:02Oh, my gosh.
35:03How do you like it?
35:04Oh, my God.
35:05There's so much stuff.
35:06Where's the new Santa?
35:08Well, the new Santa's on the mantle.
35:10Doesn't he look great?
35:11Go check him out.
35:12Oh.
35:13Don't trip.
35:14I know it's a mess.
35:17Wow.
35:18Right?
35:19He's the center of attention.
35:20All of our guests are gonna see him the minute they walk through the door.
35:22I still find more and more detail.
35:24He's just really a statement piece.
35:26Pretty.
35:28Oh, gosh.
35:29All the stuff.
35:30Maybe I'll help you with this.
35:32Um, no, Bill.
35:33I don't need your help.
35:34I'd prefer that you don't help me.
35:36Maybe I'll, um, uh, maybe I'll sit in the corner with a glass of wine.
35:41Um, no, I'd rather you, uh, step out of the room.
35:44I wanna get this done.
35:45I'm focused on decorating this room.
35:47Well, what's this one?
35:48Bill, don't touch my ornaments.
35:52Look, it looks so nice in the light.
35:55Bill, don't play with the ornaments.
35:57They're not toys.
35:58Uh, okay.
35:59I'll put it down.
36:00If you're itching to do something.
36:01Oh, this is pretty.
36:02That is a very pretty ornament.
36:03I know.
36:04It's my favorite.
36:05Oh, wow.
36:06But please, please, Bill, you're gonna break it.
36:07Put it down gently.
36:08All right, okay.
36:09Please, it's very delicate.
36:10I know you're itching to do something.
36:11What about unwrapping the nutcracker?
36:12All right, I'll go.
36:13Would you do that for me?
36:14Okay.
36:15He's a big one.
36:16With the scissors, just be very gentle.
36:18Um, just make sure you don't cut the maverick.
36:19I know how to cut flapper.
36:20All right.
36:21Look.
36:22All right.
36:23Okay, Bill.
36:24I'm cutting fine.
36:25Don't worry.
36:26No, no, no.
36:27Bill, you have to go slow.
36:28Bill.
36:29Oh.
36:30Isn't he cute?
36:31Did you name him?
36:32This is Colonel Winchester.
36:33Let's put his plume on his hat.
36:34And now he's ready.
36:36Isn't he awesome?
36:37Can I get you a glass of wine?
36:38I'm sure Colonel Winchester would love a glass of wine.
36:40Do you want me to trim his beard?
36:41No, do not.
36:42Do not go near his beard.
36:44Thank you, Bill.
36:45I really appreciate your help.
36:46I'll get a glass of wine.
36:47All right.
36:48Go ahead.
36:49I'm really excited to show off to my fans and my followers my room and my vision.
36:548 p.m. is when I unveil the house on social media.
36:57And I hope everybody loves it.
37:00And look at that.
37:01Now he's complete.
37:02Isn't he awesome?
37:04Let me just see this.
37:05All right.
37:06Be careful.
37:07Be careful.
37:08Bill.
37:09You want to fight?
37:10Bill.
37:11Bill.
37:12No.
37:13No, no, no.
37:14No.
37:15All right.
37:16No.
37:17I genuinely don't think I'll be able to stop looking for this piece, this blow mold,
37:31teddy bear, angel bear, simply because there is definitely an obsession.
37:36Heads are rolling today.
37:38Getting more and more and more pieces for my collection.
37:44What are you doing?
37:45Trying to find the blow mold.
37:48I've looked everywhere else, and this would be my last attempt to try to find that blow mold, but I don't know where I could have put it.
37:55It's got to be here somewhere, though.
37:58I see a lot of boxes back there.
37:59I don't see it.
38:00We have a lot of stuff, so.
38:01We don't have a lot of stuff.
38:02We have a lot of stuff.
38:03You have a lot of stuff.
38:04Okay.
38:05You have a problem.
38:06Okay.
38:07You have a Christmas collecting problem.
38:09Maybe a little bit.
38:10A little bit.
38:11But your look may be over because I think I found it.
38:14No way.
38:15Look.
38:16So, obviously, I love my son.
38:17I would do anything for him, which obviously I do.
38:20You know, I go out with him.
38:21I find him things.
38:22I'm helping him.
38:23We're helping others.
38:24We feel joy.
38:25They feel joy.
38:26I would love a few less blow molds.
38:28At the end of the day, it's a bond that we have, and that's what this is all about.
38:31It's all about Christmas.
38:33No way.
38:34Where is that?
38:35It's in Red Bank.
38:36Like our Red Bank?
38:37Yes.
38:38Like close?
38:39Yes.
38:40Right around the corner.
38:41Where did you find that?
38:42So, my friends have been looking for me, too, and they found it.
38:44You think we should go?
38:45Uh, we're going right now.
38:46Let's get in the car.
38:47What are we doing with this stuff?
38:48We're leaving that stuff right there.
38:49No, we can't have it.
38:50We gotta go.
38:51You gotta clean up.
38:52We gotta go.
38:53All right.
38:54Let's go.
38:55Yay!
38:56Woohoo!
38:57All right, well, it's not over here.
39:02We usually have a lot of blow molds down this way.
39:05It's not there.
39:06There's stuff up there, I know.
39:07Sometimes they're on the top.
39:08There's a store in a town over from us.
39:11It's a place I go to often to buy a lot of the blow molds.
39:15So, I'm excited to see if they really have it.
39:22Nope.
39:23Nope.
39:24Nothing up there.
39:26That's the same sound that you have.
39:28Nope.
39:29There either.
39:30Nope.
39:31Nope.
39:32Nope.
39:33Nope.
39:34Nope.
39:35Oh, my God, there it is.
39:36Yay!
39:45I can't believe we found it.
39:48I'm so excited.
39:49Finding the piece is, like, almost indescribable.
39:51All right, wait, we gotta take a selfie with it.
39:53All right, all right.
39:54Let me get in there.
39:55I gotta post it, so.
39:56Are you gonna turn this way, maybe?
39:57I don't know.
40:00I think that's the reason that you keep hunting,
40:02and you keep trying to find the pieces,
40:05and go after all of these things,
40:08is because you're always chasing that feeling.
40:10It's almost like that bragging rights of saying, like,
40:12I got it, like, I was able to, I was able to pull it off.
40:15Of course you go.
40:18It looks in good shape.
40:21It's in really good shape.
40:22Yeah, it's perfect.
40:23Yeah.
40:24It's perfect.
40:25All right, unfortunately, I have to pay for it, so.
40:27Oh, yeah.
40:28Well, you're paying for it, not me.
40:31Exactly what he was looking for.
40:33Perfect.
40:34All right.
40:35You guys all set?
40:36Yeah.
40:37Okay, Bill, you tell me when you're ready.
40:56Okay.
40:57Go.
40:58All right.

41:00It's the King of Christmas.
41:02Welcome to my dining room.
41:05Let me show you what I've done this year.
41:07Are you hitting record?
41:08Yes.
41:09Are you sure?
41:10Yes.
41:11So this year, we're doing a Gilded Age theme,
41:12and right now, we have on the table,
41:14my handmade vintage Santas,
41:16and then over here, we have Colonel Winchester.
41:20I know that every time I post him on my social media,
41:23he gets a lot of likes.
41:25Isn't he fabulous?
41:26And right here, we have the little Colonel here
41:29with the Della Robbia garland.
41:32And here we have a brand new Santa this year.
41:35Are you getting this, Bill?
41:36Yes.
41:37You're nodding off.
41:38What's going on?
41:39No, no, no.
41:40I'm getting it.
41:41I'm getting it.
41:42Because it's very hot.
41:43You know what?
41:44Lick your lips because they're dry.
41:45Yeah.
41:46Oh, yeah.
41:47I lick my lips over Santa because he's fabulous.
41:48Oh, God.
41:49Shut up.
41:50So anyway, yeah.
41:51So this is my new statement piece this year.
41:52It's my pride and joy.
41:53He stands 25 inches tall.
41:55He's wearing designer boots, a designer hat.
41:58And look at the back of him.
41:59Look how gorgeous that is.
42:01Bill, make sure you get the detail, okay?
42:02Perfect.
42:03Come in closer.
42:04Yes, I'm zooming in.
42:05Look at his Christmas tree that he's holding in his hand.
42:07He is absolutely spectacular.
42:09I'm ecstatic over the design of the new Santa.
42:12It fits into the space perfectly.
42:14Look at Santa's sack.
42:15It's an old beaded purse, and it's filled with antique
42:18and vintage jewels and components.
42:20It went above my expectations.
42:22It's magnificent.
42:24What do you think?
42:26I think it's beautiful.
42:36All right, so wrap it up.
42:38And that's it for today, but there's plenty more to come.
42:41Make sure you follow me on social media,
42:43Official King of Christmas, to see more.
42:45Perfect.
42:47Okay, so now let me just hit record.
