00:48and the government backed a coal mine extension in central Queensland.
00:52We welcome the announcements.
00:54We love to hear the government talking positively about our industry.
00:57But the mining sector isn't welcoming the government's decision to keep the lucrative coal royalties regime introduced by Labor.
01:05Certainty of what is really a poor policy doesn't provide the certainty that industry wants.
01:12Those coal royalties pay for our hospitals and schools and roads and dams and bridges and police officers and nurses and teachers.
01:19Coal royalties are a way to make sure that the rest of us get a fair share of coal super profits.
01:24While the Premier isn't budging on coal royalties, he insists he's providing investors with certainty,
01:30including with the latest investment in the Bowen Basin.
01:34The government's role as a whole is to provide that certainty as a safe place to invest.
01:39What they're getting is certainty that this is about certainty.
