Wind gusts have taken down a series of power lines along Ryan Road, north of Ten Mile, in the City of Warren today. Close to a dozen poles over a five block stretch were snapped in half.

00:00This is John Hewitt along Ryan Road in Warren looking southbound on Ryan to
00:06Ten Mile, which police have closed off at the moment. As I pan leftward you can
00:10see the first of the power poles that went literally snapped with the poles and the
00:16wires laying on the ground. There's another, as police put out further barrels. They closed down the road here northbound from 10 up to Frazo.
00:25It looks to be about a dozen poles that have snapped in the range of about 11 o'clock this morning due to the winds.
00:31We've had gusts up to 45 miles per hour already today. How long this fix will take, no specific idea or word yet from VTE Energy.
00:40But again, you've got a closure on Ryan north of 10 due to a series of power poles. We have a wind advisory in effect.
00:48The wind's upwards of 45 miles per hour as far as wind gusts today.
00:53Hopefully this fix will not take too long, but we'll of course have updates for you here on News Radio 950.
