00:00An ex-WWE personality has confirmed that his time with All Elite Wrestling has come to an end.
00:11Speaking on All-Axis Entertainment, former WWE ring announcer Tony Chimel revealed his departure from AEW.
00:19He noted that he always had a good time with the company, and also pointed out the differences between AEW and WWE in terms of the size of the operation and backstage culture.
00:28I always had a good time there, Chimel said.
00:32They're a smaller operation, and they run things a little differently, but the people there are nice.
00:38I knew a lot of WWE people who are there now.
00:42It was a nice little run, and I'm very grateful for the time I had there.
00:46They do their thing the way they want to do their thing.
00:49Tony Chimel stated earlier this year that he'd love to be a part of John Cena's retirement tour.
00:53He said that AEW management wouldn't have had a problem with him making a temporary return to WWE while still being contracted to AEW.
01:02While he's known for his announcements for Edge, Tony Chimel has also introduced John Cena throughout multiple stages in the latter's career.
01:10Now that his time with AEW has come to an end, he could return to WWE to introduce John Cena in his retirement match.
01:17However, nothing has been confirmed so far.
01:19John Cena has two more appearances left in his retirement tour.
01:24His next match will take place at Survivor Series War Games against Dominic Mysterio,
01:29and then he will go on to face the winner of the Last Time Is Now tournament at Saturday night's main event on December 13th.
