Fans React to the Shocking 'Game of Thrones' Series Finale

'Game of Thrones' came to an end after eight seasons, and fans felt a certain type of way about the season finale that closed the entire series on HBO. Here's what the fans had to say about the grand finale!

00:17The very first question we have to ask you is, what do you think of Bran as the King

00:21of Westeros?

00:22I think it's a terrible choice.

00:25I think he did nothing.

00:27He's literally been a ragdoll.

00:28You can replace him with a ragdoll, because he's done nothing.

00:30Took me by surprise, I'm not going to lie.

00:32He was kind of the last person I was expecting, considering the fact he said he felt nothing.

00:39But at least we get to see a Stark on the throne.

00:41I agree with that meme that is going around, that is when you don't contribute to the group

00:46project and you get an A. He knew the whole time, like he saw everything, he knew what

00:53was happening and basically he just let everybody die so he could become king.

00:57It was a little weird.

00:58I don't know that everybody was totally on board with him being the king.

01:02They just kind of had this king's moot all of a sudden and then they were like, alright,

01:07yeah, everybody loves Bran.

01:09And I think the audience might have been a little like, oh okay, I guess we're doing this now.

01:13I'm really glad that he's the king.

01:15It's sort of like the giver, like he's the perfect one.

01:18What was your dream ending for this show?

01:20Yeah, who should have been on the throne?

01:22Yeah, Daenerys.

01:23The whole time.

01:24Really?

01:26Even after she burned King's Landing?

01:27Yeah.

01:28I mean she did kind of fight for it.

01:29I don't know.

01:30I mean she really, she fought for it.

01:31Yeah.

01:32She was my girl up until, up until that point actually for King's Landing.

01:35Where do you think Drogon went?

01:41In my head, I just hope that Drogon's just flying free living a happy life.

01:44Drogon takes Daenerys into the north and then she becomes the night queen.

01:50And then Jon's going to meet her and they're going to.

01:53Oh.

01:54Okay, I read the books too.

01:55Oh, that's interesting.

01:56No, no, I'm really big on the books.

01:57And, you know, the prophecy talks about how Daenerys is going to go back and reunite with,

02:01you know, her husband, her baby that wasn't there.

02:04But maybe the dragon is the manifestation of her husband or her child.

02:08And, like, they're all off living in the after world together.

02:11Is this dragon stuff?

02:12Uh, I think he just went off and was like,

02:14well, I'm going to take my mom and I'm going to go and I'm going to go be sad.

02:17And I'm going to go find a spot where nobody's going to bother me.

02:20Because, I mean, you can just imagine that if they found him,

02:23they'd probably figure out a way to enslave him, make him small again.

02:26And that's not the ending that Drogon deserves.

02:29Were you okay with them symbolically melting the Iron Throne

02:32and then immediately electing somebody to be king in the next scene?

02:35Um, no, but because it's Bran.

02:37Like, that's why it's really beautiful.

02:39Because Bran isn't, like, a typical ruler in any way.

02:41Like, he has such a, it's more of like a metaphysical and spiritual role that he's fulfilling.

02:46So I'm glad they didn't go with the, like, democracy route.

02:49That would have been really boring.

02:51Were you satisfied with what you saw?

02:53Uh, yeah, I was.

02:54I was.

02:55I thought it was fine.

02:56Um, you know, ultimately Jon Snow got to go beyond the wall.

03:00And, uh, you know, he's just hanging out with the wildlings now.

03:03So that's a cool ending for him.

03:05I give it up to the showrunners really for putting together and completing a super complex story.

03:10Like, I can't even imagine writing that.

03:12Um, let alone filming it.

03:14So I give them credit on it.

03:16I just wish, uh, we had an extra two seasons.

03:18Who would you like to have seen at the end?

03:21I would have loved to have seen Sansa on the throne.

03:25She just seems like she wants what's best for the people.

03:28Like, of all the kingdoms.

03:29Yeah, she just seems to want what's best for the people.

03:31But, uh, you know, good on her for standing up and saying, like,

03:34I love you, bro, but I'm not bending the knee.

03:36The North is gonna stay the way that it is.

03:38Yeah.

03:39So I do appreciate that.

03:40Um, or honestly, I would have really loved to have seen Daenerys even sit on it

03:43for a split second.

03:44I know.

03:45She touched it.

03:46And I was like, oh, she never got to sit on it.

03:48Oh, that's so devastating.

03:50But also, you went crazy.

03:53Okay, let's go see who we can find.
