Transcript
00:00Crazy Rich Asians' leading man Henry Golding is in negotiations to star in the G.I. Joe
00:04spinoff Snake Eyes, where he'll play the title role. Now the character of Snake Eyes, who first
00:09appeared in the 1980s as a ninja commando who dressed in all black, never revealed his face,
00:14and never spoke. Snake Eyes stood out among the military anti-terrorist group and quickly
00:18established himself as the most popular. Just a little more info on him, he sometimes carried
00:23out solo missions with his pet wolf Timber and his arch enemy Storm Shadow, a ninja who was also
00:28his blood brother. Paramount has made two G.I. Joe movies that saw acrobatic actor Ray
00:32Park portray Snake Eyes, 2009's G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra, and 2013's G.I. Joe Retaliation.
00:48The new solo installment is said to center on Snake Eyes seeking revenge for his father's death by
00:53joining a ninja clan and in the process finding acceptance. As for Golding, the actor made his
00:57feature film debut as Nick Young in Crazy Rich Asians.
01:00They're just the biggest developers in all of Singapore.
