00:00Music
00:30Thank you very much, and I hope you like our new,
00:37beautiful patio with matching stone to the White House.
00:41If this were grass today, you'd be sinking into the
00:43mud like they've done for many years, and you would
00:46be very unhappy.
00:47Please, thank you very much.
00:50This was a big day.
00:51It was a pardon day for a very important beast.
00:58On behalf of the First Lady and the entire Trump
01:00family, I want to wish all Americans a very, very
01:04happy Thanksgiving.
01:05It's a great time of the year, and our country is
01:07doing really well, economically, like we've
01:09never done before.
01:11Today, we continue a time-honored American
01:14tradition.
01:16Boy, that's a well-trained turkey.
01:21See how happy he is?
01:23In a few moments, I will grant a full, absolute, and
01:26unconditional presidential pardon to two handsome
01:30Thanksgiving turkeys.
01:32And this is their lucky day.
01:33This is a lucky day for them.
01:35But before going any further, I want to make an
01:38important announcement, because you remember last
01:41year, after a thorough and very rigorous
01:44investigation by Pam Bondi and all of the people at
01:50the Department of Justice, the FBI, the CIA, the
01:54White House Counsel's Office, and the Department
01:57of Everything.
01:59We have a Department of Everything.
02:00You know what that is?
02:01I think that's called the White House.
02:04Into a terrible situation caused by a man named
02:08Sleepy Joe Biden.
02:10He used an auto pen last year for the turkey's
02:13pardon.
02:14So I have the official duty to determine, and I
02:18have determined that last year's turkey pardons are
02:20totally invalid, as are the pardons of about every
02:25other person that was pardoned other than, where's
02:30Hunter?
02:32No, Hunter's was good.
02:33That was the one pardon, Pam, that was good, right?
02:35The rest of them are all invalid.
02:36I don't know what the hell you're going to do about
02:38that, but that's now we're going to take a little of
02:40the joking.
02:41That is a mess.
02:42But they're hereby null and void.
02:45The turkeys known as Peach and Blossom last year
02:49have been located, and they were on their way to be
02:51processed, in other words, to be killed.
02:54But I have stopped that journey, and I am
02:57officially pardoning them.
03:00And they will not be served for Thanksgiving dinner.
03:04We saved them in the nick of time.
03:06This one has plenty of time, but they were saved in
03:08the nick of time.
03:10We're thrilled to be joined today by Vice
03:12President J.D. Vance, Second Lady Usha Vance,
03:16their daughter Mirabelle, and along with Attorney
03:19General Pam Bondi, Secretaries Marco Rubio,
03:22Scott Besant, Pete Hegseth, Brooke Rollins,
03:26Howard Lutnick, Linda McMahon, Scott Turner,
03:30Administrator Lee Zeldin, who's done a great job.
03:34A nuclear power plant gets approved in less than a week.
03:37Okay?
03:38I'm only kidding, but pretty close to that.
03:41And we have more.
03:42Where is Lee?
03:43Stand up, Lee.
03:43One of my great superstars.
03:46It used to take 20 years before you got rejected
03:52when you put in an application.
03:53Now we're doing them in a matter of weeks, right?
03:56And that's why we have the biggest plants anywhere
03:59in the world.
04:00We're leading in AI.
04:00We're leading in everything.
04:02Our auto plants are pouring back into our country.
04:04Wait till you see the jobs coming with them.
04:07But there are many of them are under construction,
04:09but Lee's done a great job in getting those approvals.
04:11I appreciate it very much.
04:13FBI Director Cash Patel has been very busy
04:16doing a great job.
04:17Also, thank you, Cash.
04:19Along with members of — see, you got a following, Cash.
04:24Along with members of Congress, and in particular,
04:27I want to mention Jason Smith and David Rozier.
04:31Where is — where are those two guys?
04:33Come on, stand up, fellas.
04:35What good people.
04:35Jason knows more about the tax code
04:39than any living human being.
04:41He knows so much, we don't even want to hear about it, right?
04:44Too complicated.
04:45We're going to make it a simpler code.
04:47But we did in the great, big, beautiful bill —
04:50it was just passed — your imprints all over that.
04:54And it's amazing.
04:55The biggest tax cuts in the history of our country
04:57for middle-income people.
04:59The biggest tax cuts in the history of our country
05:02for middle-income people.
05:04And the biggest jobs bill ever passed.
05:08And nobody thought we could get that one done.
05:10I'm glad — and we actually put four years —
05:13actually, probably eight or ten years —
05:14but we put four years' worth of material
05:18into one great, big, beautiful bill.
05:20So that worked out very well.
05:22And I want to thank everybody for working on it.
05:23J.D., that was a great — that was a great —
05:26well, you know, we were going to do it in small bills.
05:28We're going to have 18 bills and do it along the process.
05:31I'm glad, Scott, that we got it done.
05:34Because dealing with these Democrats, I don't think —
05:36I think that was all one shot.
05:38But we have it all in one great, big, beautiful bill.
05:40Thanks as well to the chairman of the National Turkey Federation
05:44and the CEO of Butterball.
05:46Well, that's a big deal.
