00:10y hoy estamos examinando Gao Gao

00:13por su cuatro meses recheck

00:14en su HARDIAC ULTRASOUND

00:16So, Gao Gao is an older panda

00:26and he does have a heart condition called pulmonic stenosis

00:29where a part below one of his valves is narrowed

00:32so we have him on medications

00:34and this allows us to monitor our effective treatment

00:37and it also monitors for progression

00:39so that we can keep him happy and healthy

00:46Giao Gao is a character

00:54he's really goofy

00:56and so he's a lot of fun to work with

00:58the keepers are able to do so much with him

01:01it makes my job so much easier

01:04where I don't have to anesthetize him

01:06I can just ask them for

01:08you know, I'd like Gao Gao to be able to do this

01:10and within a couple weeks they're able to make him do it

01:13you know, on his own volition perfectly

01:15so he's a lot of fun

01:17he's got a lot of character

01:18he makes me laugh every time I work with him

01:20so he's a good guy

01:31Gao Gao is an older bear

01:32and he's got a lot of issues

01:33so his overall prognosis is guarded

01:35but at the same time he's doing really well since diagnosis

01:38so Gao Gao has a disease unfortunately that we can't cure

01:42but we can definitely make his quality of life good

01:44and so right now it looks like the treatment is effective

01:48and that's why we'll monitor him and make sure we're doing the best for Gao Gao
