Australia has reached a landmark agreement with UberEats and DoorDash that will introduce minimum pay and safety standards for delivery workers for the first time. Under the draft deal, couriers will earn at least A$31.30 per hour—bringing many on-demand drivers in line with casual worker wages. The agreement also includes mandatory injury insurance and greater job transparency. 01:37That's the condition that these drivers were living under.

01:46And we're this close now to actually getting a minimum standard.

01:50And when I say this, I am proud, but I'm not proud as well, because we're not talking about a decent pay.
