00:00Welcome to the True Crime and Mystery Lounge. Today we talk about my favorite mythology being. Today we talk about the Egyptian God Anubis. So who is Anubis?
00:17In Egyptian mythology Anubis was the original God of the Dead, but as Anubis was worshipped by more followers, Osiris took over his role, while Anubis had a more direct role guiding the souls of the deceased.
00:38His purpose became mainly the God of Mummification. Anubis was responsible for making sure the journey to the underworld went right, and Anubis ensured that the mummification process was done correctly.
00:58He also handled each mummy and would perform both the ceremony and the ritual of conducting the soul in the field of celestial offerings.
01:11He also oversaw the scale of truce, which protected the deceased from eternal death and deception.
01:20Many believed that Anubis would both physically and spiritually guard their tombs. Anubis ruled the underworld and decided the fate of the deceased. As time went on, Anubis' test changed.
01:42He guided the souls of the newly deceased to the underworld. He controlled the area between the living world and the underworld, making sure that spirits were never left behind.
02:01Anubis was a guardian of the scales, which gave him the power to decide the fate of souls. He would weight the heart of the deceased against the weight of a feather.
02:14The feather symbolized truce. If scale tipped in favor of the heart, the person would be consumed by a demon named Ammit.
02:23But if scale tipped in favor of the feather, Anubis would lead the soul to Osiris, so they could enter heaven.
02:35Anubis was the son of Osiris and Niphtis. His wife was Anupet, and together they had Kipshet.
02:46Anubis was portrayed as half jackal and half man. He is usually holding the divine sceptre. Sometimes he is shown as a black jackal, or other times as a black dog.
03:05My thoughts about ancient Egyptians. Ancient Egyptians were known to consume DMTs, which they believed to connect them to other dimensions.
03:15and contacting other beings, which one of them thought to be Anubis.
03:22Another theory believes that there is a hidden world under the pyramids, which contains creatures, animals and gods, like no other in our world.
03:33And that's where the ancient Egyptians came in contact with Anubis and many other gods.
03:39So what do you think? Was Anubis just a mythology? Was he real? And is that true? Is he still out there in a different dimension? Or our dimension?
