00:22has been transformed into a mobile clinic for children in Gaza.

00:27Caritas unveiled the Vehicle of Hope this week,

00:31a mobile clinic designed to deliver medical care to children in Gaza.

00:35Before his death in April, Pope Francis blessed the initiative as one of his final wishes.

00:40The modified Mitsubishi pickup, originally a gift from Palestinian leaders in 2014,

00:47underwent a $15,000 transformation.

00:51Palestinian mechanics enclosed the rear platform where the pontiff once stood,

00:56turning it into a treatment space.

00:59Organizers say the unit is equipped with oxygen, refrigeration for medicine,

01:04and diagnostic tools to treat up to 200 children a day.

01:09In a symbolic move, young patients will sit in the formal papal seat during their exams.

01:15However, the clinic remains in the West Bank for now.

01:18While organizers are eager to deploy,

01:21they are still waiting for authorization from Israeli officials to enter the enclave.
