00:00Kato Shoma Kato
00:18Well, wrestling fans, we are set for six-man tag team action here tonight as Shoma Kato teams alongside the makeshift duo here of El Desperado
00:27and Shuji Ishikawa competing in his first ever NJPW Tournament, NJPW World Tag League that is
00:35195cm, 130kg, Ishikawa Shuuji!
00:44Shuji Ishikawa no stranger to Fukushima as a part of the Big Japan Pro Wrestling roster back in the day
00:50Shinjou Haishikawa, El Desperado!
00:57And El Desperado no stranger to any of us here in New Japan Pro Wrestling
01:01but one thing we're becoming very familiar with in the year of 2025 is the word injury
01:09and it is something which certainly is plaguing both sides of this team
01:14we'll talk all about that here
01:16it is team 100 sitting on a staggering two points here
01:31It is Team 100 sitting on a staggering two points here.
01:43Taichi and Satoshi Kojima alongside Masutori Asura in six-man tag action tonight.
02:01The red corner is 175cm 88kg of Masutori Asura in six-man tag action tonight.
02:13The 183cm 68kg of Masutori Asura in six-man tag action tonight.
02:19The 177cm 88kg of Masutori Asura in six-man tag action tonight.
02:25The 177cm 88kg of Masutori Asura in six-man tag action tonight.
02:36Referee Red Shizuno out here a little early tonight as we are set for six-man tag team competition in a match to preview coming up 24 hours from now when New Japan, myself and everyone on this roster included,
02:53make their way to Sendai Miyagi Japan.
02:55We'll be live from Sendai Sun Plaza Hall.
02:57We'll see Team 100 Taichi and Satoshi Kojima take on El Desperado and Shuji Ishikawa.
03:04Two teams tied at two points apiece here in block A.
03:08And oh, I'm very interested to see the battle between these two.
03:12Back to their Suzuki-gun.
03:13Days we go for Taichi and El Desperado.
03:17As it is a one full 20-minute time limit here tonight.
03:21And the two men who serve as the subject for injury discussion, Taichi battling a knee injury already heading into this year's World Tag League tournament.
03:30Right off the back of that purge night of torture entrance that we saw Taichi make.
03:35And of course, all horrible things are to be caused by how some torture here in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
03:41El Desperado for a very similar reason, battling a sprained back in this year's World Tag League.
03:46When you talk about needing someone in your corner to do the heavy lifting, there is no one to look better toward than the six-foot-five, 285-pound veteran of the Big Japan and All Japan and independent wrestling scenes all over in Japan.
04:00That's Shuji Ishikawa.
04:02And to have a man like that at 50 years of age standing in your corner here tonight, the way that El Desperado does.
04:07El Desperado can focus on maybe a little bit less heavy lifting than he'd otherwise have to in the junior division.
04:15And let's keep in mind, El Desperado still competing as a junior heavyweight in this year's World Tag League.
04:21Typically a heavyweight tournament in years past, but let's not forget last year's tournament, 2024, won by a junior heavyweight and Hiromu Takahashi alongside Ellen Gobernabe himself, Tetsuya Naito.
04:33So, well, anything is possible in the world of New Japan Pro Wrestling, as we say.
04:37And Desperado being a junior heavyweight, there is no reason whatsoever this man can't make it to the final alongside Shuji Ishikawa.
04:44There is certainly no reason that Desperado could not make it to the final and win alongside Shuji Ishikawa.
04:53And certainly, Desperado going to point out that injury that Taichi walked into this tournament with.
04:59And, oh, going to cool it off here.
05:01Shuji Ishikawa making the tag in.
05:04enters his first ever NJPW World Tag League tournament.
05:09Teams alongside Desperado in this year's tournament has found success in tag tournaments before.
05:14Won the All Japan Real World Tag League back in 2017 alongside Tsubama.
05:20Repeated the magic back in 2019.
05:22A litany of other tag team tournament victories, but never has competed here in New Japan.
05:27It's a very different ball game, as we tend to say.
05:29And, Satoshi Kojima certainly aware of the differences between All Japan and New Japan.
05:36DDT and New Japan all over.
05:38A former Triple Crown Champion and Real World Tag League winner in his own right in Satoshi Kojima.
05:48Yeah, but Shuji Ishikawa just going to be an inch more powerful here over Kojima tonight.
05:54Kojima has never won a World Tag League in his career for New Japan Pro Wrestling.
06:03Made it to the final back in 2013 alongside Hiroshi Tenzan, who is in the building here tonight.
06:09And certainly Kojima wants to flash back to those memories here in 2025.
06:15Of course, with a very different result, lost out to Doc Cowboys and Karl Anderson 12 years ago.
06:22Yeah, but Ishikawa going to put an end to the fun here tonight for Kojima.
06:28Big scoop and a slam here for Shuji Ishikawa.
06:33And heavy weight means heavy falls here.
06:36Shuji Ishikawa driving that elbow right into the canvas.
06:39No one there to meet him.
06:40Oh, look at this.
06:44Talk about the gumption on this young athlete.
06:46Young Lions, Shimakato, and Masatoriosita want the tag.
06:50And there they come out of the red and blue corner.
06:53Our Young Lions locking up in the center of the ring.
06:56You're going to notice that all throughout this year's World Tag League,
07:00our Young Lions are kind of sat by the side of specific teams of specific units.
07:05You'll see Masatoriosita certainly more so in the corner of men like Taichi and Satoshi Kojima than anyone else on this tournament.
07:12Skate Zane J alongside Monster Sauce's Alex Zane and Lance Archer.
07:18We'll be seeing those men later on in action against United Empire soon enough.
07:21And Shimakato certainly riding the hunt high line alongside Katsuyo Morishima as well.
07:29Or opposite Katsuyo Morishima rather all throughout this tournament.
07:34Diking a guy on the side of the unaffiliated.
07:36That's a given.
07:37But Shimakato and Masatoriosita, things continue to heat up in the no-gate dojo.
07:42And as much as Katsuyo continues to talk up a storm around a potential Mexican excursion to come in 2026.
07:50He's got to try and earn it maybe a little bit earlier.
07:53Oh, it's Yasuda here.
07:56A couple of Mexican ties to him as well.
07:58Next Coast City born.
07:59Sapporo Hokkaido Reyes.
08:03Let's see what Yasuda can pull out here.
08:06Huge scoop and a slam.
08:07And there's an elbow drop that'll connect.
08:10Cover here for Yasuda.
08:13Two count only.
08:14Shimakato gonna survive for now.
08:22Five minutes have passed in this matchup.
08:24And it is a match to preview what is to come outside of these two men.
08:27It's coming in block A.
08:2824 hours from now.
08:30El Desperado, Shuji, Ishikawa take on the newly adorned Team 100.
08:35The combination of their ages.
08:3745-year-old Taichi.
08:3855-year-old Satoshi Kojima.
08:40The only number that matters is the points on the board.
08:43And we're not going to be seeing those go up anytime soon right now.
08:48Despe.
08:49Big back elbow in the corner here on Yasuda.
08:53And one more time.
08:54El Desperado wants to try and muscle up Masatoru Yasuda.
08:58That sprained spine.
08:59That sprained back of El Desperado certainly going to be plaguing him in this battle.
09:05As off the ropes and a couple of boots meet the jaw of El Desperado from Masatoru Yasuda.
09:11Here comes Kojima and Taichi to follow in as well.
09:15And that Sapporo connection between these two men and Masatoru Yasuda and Taichi running deep as a Koji.
09:21Koji Cutter from Satoshi Kojima tonight.
09:26And Yasuda combination offense.
09:29Cover again.
09:31Oh, broken up by Shoma Kato.
09:34Just in the nick of time.
09:39And that injured knee of Taichi going to take him out of the matchup.
09:42DDT for Kojima on Kato.
09:46And Desperado with a low bridge here.
09:48Going to take everyone out of the equation.
09:49We're down to the two we go then.
09:51And Masatoru Yasuda would love to put down a former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion.
09:57A first time World Tag League combatant in El Desperado.
10:05Yasuda trying for that staple hold of the no gate dojo.
10:08The Boston Crab locked in on a former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion indeed.
10:17But Shuji Ishikawa, former Triple Crown Champion in his own right, in to break things up tonight.
10:33Yasuda off the ropes here.
10:34It'll be a big, big victory over Ishikawa.
10:37And I mean that in a literal and figurative sense as well.
10:40Oh, but the kitchen sink thrown right in the middle.
10:45Masatoru Yasuda, Ishikawa, and Desperado alone.
10:49Planting in.
10:51Assisted power bomb for the cover.
10:54For the win.
10:56Desperado's done it.
10:57It's 7 minutes.
10:58It's the winner of El Desperado.
11:00And El Desperado's victory.
11:02It's the winner of El Desperado's victory.
11:04Well, the victory comes the way of Desperado, Shushi Ishikawa, and Shoukatsu.
11:06But Ishikawa and Kojima, these two go all the way back to their days in all Japan pro wrestling.
11:09Desperado, Shuji Ishikawa, and Shomakatsu, but Ishikawa and Kojima,
11:13these two go all the way back to their days in all Japan pro wrestling.
11:17There are many battles in the red and black ring.
11:20They're gonna transfer over to Cerulean Blue.
11:23Oh, and I cannot wait to see it 24 hours from now.
11:28Satoshi, Kojima, and Taichi take on El Desperado and Shuji Ishikawa in Sendai.
11:39Well, it is gonna take back to the days of Suzuki-kun for El Desperado and Taichi,
12:00and a show of respect ahead of that November 26th battle to come tomorrow in Sendai.
12:06It is gonna be Kojima and Taichi taking on Desperado, and Shuji Ishikawa, two points on the line.
12:12Tied two and two are these two teams.
12:23Walker, what's going on?
12:25Oh, well, fans were being joined here tonight by the Lone Star Outlaw himself, Chase Owens.
12:30Chase, welcome to the booth.
12:31Thanks for having me. Where's my money?
12:33Well, I think you get that after the job stuff.
12:35Oh.
12:36You know something about doing jobs, Chase.
12:38Yeah.
12:3911 years of it.
12:40Well, we're gonna be getting right into what's gonna be the big job, the big test for everyone to come.
12:48Block B competition to get underway soon enough here in World Tag League.
12:52But hey, you get to sit in on a couple of Block A previews, kind of scout out the competition.
12:56I'm excited to get your mind set on heading into, well, your upcoming battles against teams like Shingo Takagi and Joel Maloney,
13:02who we'll be seeing coming up very soon.
13:04That's a real interesting team.
13:05Hm?
13:23.
13:27.
13:32.
