00:00On the other hand, another member of the Don Callis family and Kazuchika Okada will wrestle Hiroshi Tanahashi's final match.
00:09A lot of talk about what match would go on last, a lot of competition going on in that stakes,
00:15a lot of competition between Kazuchika Okada and Kanosuke Tukeshe.
00:18They don't exactly see eye to eye on very much.
00:21I mean, as someone who is, well, a lot up close and personal to the Don Callis family, what's your take on the situation?
00:28You know what? Family fights sometimes.
00:31You know, when you've got high competition with high-quality and high-caliber athletes
00:36who are both competing to be the top guy in the business, in AEW, in New Japan Pro Wrestling,
00:42they're both holding titles, they're both going to be seeing each other as competition against each other.
00:47So, you know, family's going to fight, but ultimately it is family, and it's going to be okay one way or another.
00:52So whoever's the main event of Wrestle Kingdom, the other one's not going to be happy about it,
00:57but they are going to support it, and in the end, you know what? We'll be all right.
01:02The Tokyo Pimps, Takashi Yujiro!
01:13Chase Owens, Yujiro Takashi, no points on the board just yet.
01:19We lost to Don Fale and Evil.
01:22Hi, Chase. I don't think he saw me.
01:24Bishimon.
01:28I think if Chase Owens did see you, his heart would skip a beat.
01:32No, it's all right. I'm way over here. He's fine.
01:35Bishimon, as well, surprisingly enough, 0-1. They lost their first to Satoshi Kojima and Taichi.
01:51Thursday in Corrine Hall.
01:55Monster Sauce beat Bishimon a couple years ago.
01:58That's right. Yes, we did.
02:00And Bishimon went on in one World Tag League.
02:03Listen, we don't have to talk about that.
02:04They were the IWTP Tag Team Champions at the time, and you guys never got your titles.
02:07Yeah, I know. I know. I know. What the heck?
02:10It was that year in 2023, Bishimon won their record.
02:25Third World Tag League in a row.
02:282021, 2022, 2023.
02:31That's impressive.
02:33World Tag League Champions.
02:34Well, add on to that line, Siroki Goto.
02:37Also in 2014, World Tag League winner with Katsuyori Shibata.
02:42And in 2012, World Tag League winner with Karl Anderson.
02:45He's won these trophies five times, the winningest World Tag League wrestler in history.
02:49Goto's got to be up there with probably one of the top tournament winners in New Japan history.
02:54Between Tag Leagues and New Japan Cups.
02:57He's definitely got to be up there with being a tournament player.
03:02I hope there's so many fans in the US form.
03:04And tournament grand slam New Japan Cup.
03:07World Tag League.
03:09And G1 Climax.
03:10YOSHIHASHI!
03:12YOSHIHASHI!
03:15YOSHIHASHI!
03:17YOSHIHASHI!
03:18YOSHIHASHI!
03:19YOSHIHASHI!
03:20YOSHIHASHI!
03:21YOSHIHASHI!
03:22YOSHIHASHI!
03:23YOSHIHASHI!
03:26YOSHIHASHI!
03:27YOSHIHASHI!
03:28YOSHIHASHI!
03:29YOSHIHASHI!
03:30Find out if anybody had one, all three, except for Hiroki Oto.
03:34I know you mentioned it.
03:37That's an interesting stat that we need to figure out.
03:39Maybe Twitter can help us out on that one.
03:41Rapidly, no, I don't want Twitter to do anything.
03:45They're good for something sometimes.
03:48Very, very little.
03:51So these are two 0-1 teams, correct?
03:53Yep.
03:53So somebody's getting their first victory tonight.
03:55Somebody's getting their first victory, and somebody will be 0-2.
03:58Uh-oh.
03:58We only have...
04:00Can they tie?
04:01They could.
04:02They could?
04:02They could.
04:03I mean, I would say it's relatively unlikely.
04:06How does a tie happen?
04:08Well, I mean, we've got a 30-minute time limit, or 10-count out on the floor.
04:13Okay.
04:13In that case, or 20-count on the floor, rather.
04:16Yudra Takahaz, he once got a double-count-out draw with Shingo Tagagi in G1 Climax.
04:23And that was a draw in the end.
04:25And maybe Yudra and Chase Owens might look at the odds here and, well, take the draw, perhaps.
04:31There you see the rules for World Tag League at the bottom of your steam.
04:3416 teams, two blocks, two points for a win, one point for a draw.
04:37And our top two point scores go through to semifinals this year.
04:41Okay.
04:41And then the finals in Kumamoto.
04:44Okay.
04:44I can't read that, so thank you.
04:46Yep.
04:48Chase Owens, when he teamed with Kenta a little bit in the spring of 2024, stole the IWGP tag titles from Bishmon back then.
04:59A little bit of ill-will.
05:01Well, not many people have goodwill towards Chase Owens, let's face it.
05:06He's the lovable asshole.
05:11And Yudra Takahashi, much the same.
05:14Oh, they're going to beat on him.
05:15They're going to beat on him.
05:16And the drum's going to ring out.
05:17Sand off.
05:23People like that, don't they?
05:24Everybody loves to see it.
05:27Some people do.
05:28Well, I think if you're Yudra Takahashi or Chase Owens in this case, maybe you're probably not.
05:38Chase has changed his personality and character up a little bit since the last time I was here.
05:43He has, indeed.
05:43Yeah, I mean, for the longest time, part of Bullet Club, and well, was part of Bullet Club until Dominion of this year.
05:53And it was a case where House of Torture had all of a sudden brought in Don Fale.
05:58Okay.
05:59And he was the surprise partner for House of Torture in an opening tag match.
06:04Chase Owens was on the other side with the War Dogs and had a choice to make then and there.
06:08And he and Don Fale took his thieves and popped the fence, joined House of Torture.
06:14Yeah, I've fought both him and Don Fale.
06:17I've fought him and Yudra as a team.
06:19And I think we fought him and Kent as a team as well.
06:23Different teams that I've had, whether it was Monster Sauce or Suzuki-Goon or whatever.
06:28You have guys like Chase Owens and Yudra Takahashi who are survival.
06:33So they always call them blue guys in the business because whoever they team with,
06:38or whoever they're teaming up against, they're always effective and they always keep their teams together.
06:43Yep.
06:45Like cockroaches.
06:46Well, yeah.
06:47I'll let you say that, not me.
06:49Chase Owens listens and I don't want him to get hot with me.
06:53He can get hot at you.
06:54That's okay.
06:54Anybody can get hot at you.
06:55That's okay.
06:55That's okay.
07:02Shut up.
07:04Don't do that, Chase.
07:06That's my gig.
07:06You're playing.
07:12Separating right now.
07:15Former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Hiroki Goto, Lance.
07:19I mean, that was the culmination of such a long journey for Goto to finally make it.
07:23At the top of the business at very much a veteran age.
07:27You know, I think for Goto, it's one of those things like we're talking about the fact that he's won all the tournaments,
07:33whether it's the Tag League, the New Japan Cup, G1, all the time.
07:36To finally win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
07:40Like, he's kind of, what's the word I'm looking for?
07:43He's kind of, he's sneaky good.
07:46Like, you don't realize how good he is, how good he's been for as long as he's been, as good as he's been.
07:52So it's one of those things like you think Goto and you're just like, oh, it's Goto.
07:54But then you're like, oh, wait, Goto's won G1.
07:56Oh, Goto's won multiple Tag Leagues.
07:58Oh, Goto's won New Japan Cup.
08:00Oh, Goto's been Tag Champs and held them and won three different Tag Leagues.
08:05Oh, now he's the Heavyweight Champion.
08:07Like, oh, really?
08:08Like, you don't even pay attention to how good he's been for as long as he's been.
08:13So it's great to see everybody finally waking up to Hiroki Goto.
08:17That Goto revolution carried into seven defenses of that World Heavyweight Title.
08:21More than there's ever been of the current version of the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
08:26And he'll be making his Hollywood debut next year.
08:29He's about to be a movie star.
08:31Honda can't wait for Street Fighter, the movie, coming out in 2026.
08:35That's going to be interesting to see him as E-Honda.
08:39Yeah.
08:39Wasn't it Maccabre that was, like, the voiceover for the Mad Max movie?
08:49Yes, you're exactly right.
08:51Yeah, and he's done a few different overdubs.
08:55The voice acting?
08:56Yeah.
08:57He is.
08:58He's got a very unique voice.
08:59That's true.
09:03We'll get into Yodosuji a little bit later on.
09:05Yodosuji ate a pumping bomber from Shingo Takagi on Thursday, and ever since he's been talking like humble.
09:11Wait, wait.
09:12He ate what?
09:13He ate a pumping bomber.
09:15Pumping bomber.
09:16Shingo Takagi's guess.
09:17I heard a different word.
09:18Oh, no.
09:18It's not even, like, stoner, but I was like, what?
09:25I was like, okay.
09:27Well, the point is, Yodosuji has been very croaky.
09:31He had something in his throat.
09:33Well, he had the right arm of Shingo Takagi up in his throat.
09:42Yudora had Hiroki Goto up in his face right there, and now Goto able to roll clear.
09:47Make a tag.
09:47Make a tag.
09:48Oh, no.
09:51Shashi always has such good energy, man.
09:54He brings it.
09:55Brings it.
09:56Flack.
09:56Yodosuji, another one that was, you know, one of the sneaky, good, underrated professional wrestlers right up until the COVID pandemic.
10:06And when the pandemic struck, Yodosuji had this opportunity to become a never 0.6-man champion.
10:12Here he is in the cover here after he gets to two.
10:15Almost.
10:15And that team, it was Yoshihashi, Hiroki Goto, and Tomohiro Ishii.
10:20And they won those titles, they held them for over a year, and it was a case where, you know, really in that nadir of COVID and the pandemic, and everybody being bummed out and frustrated.
10:32You know, it was that team that were, you know, they were putting smiles on faces, and they hadn't really fired up.
10:39You couldn't see it, though.
10:39Yeah, well.
10:40So they were doing masks.
10:41I know.
10:43But it really, you know, prompted Yoshihashi to great fights, and then he and Hiroki Goto as Bishmon, very successful four times IWGP Tag Team Champions.
10:53But it cost that tougher.
10:55Yeah, hung out to dry, as they say, and Chase Owens gets the tag and comes back in.
10:59Oh, he's just taunting him now.
11:05Oh, I don't think it had the same effect.
11:12Well, I don't know.
11:16It had some effect, but probably some of that a good bit mental, and it would be irritating Yoshihashi by hurting him.
11:24Oh, take it out of the tele-tele team right there.
11:33Jodo calling for the tag.
11:37Got it here.
11:40There we go.
11:41Muramasa in the corner.
11:44Watch for the backdrop.
11:46There it is.
11:50Big kick out.
11:54Chase looking for his tag, but he's looking at the wrong corner.
11:57Well, in the meantime, I can see out of the corner of my eye, Udrow looking for something else.
12:00Udrow's got his favorite toy, that cane.
12:03Now he's come back in with it.
12:05Sneak snake.
12:05Oh.
12:07Yoshihashi has to cut him off.
12:08Yoshihashi, an incredible wrestling sense.
12:11There's the kick.
12:12Watch the set-up.
12:14Oh, get connected to his set, but it might be bedtime.
12:18Nope, nope, nope.
12:19Chase getting out of it.
12:20Chase is too smart.
12:22Boot to the face.
12:24Oh, oh, oh.
12:25Oh.
12:26Oh, nice.
12:27Chase has scouted him, man.
12:28Yeah, read the misdirection, and now...
12:30Oh, right to the face.
12:32And follow-up, the fisherman, Buster.
12:36Chase following up again.
12:39Nice work.
12:40Little insecure knee to the face.
12:45And Kuki was not...
12:47A little save.
12:48A little saves-ski.
12:50Right now, Hiroki Goto looking to be on Dream Street.
12:55Nudro taking out...
12:57Oh, he took it up.
12:57Yoshihashi.
12:5816 moves.
13:03This could be a huge, huge win for Chase Owens and Nudro.
13:09Foul driver.
13:09Yeah, it pulls it.
13:10Foul driver.
13:10Yeah, it pulls it.
13:11It pulls it the last testament.
13:12Nope, nope, nope.
13:14Oh.
13:14Right in the jaw.
13:15Goto not running as well just yet, but he might.
13:19He really might.
13:20Oh!
13:21Oh!
13:21A C-trigger.
13:23Here's the cover again.
13:24Leg is hooked.
13:25Oh!
13:26Oh!
13:27So close.
13:28Goto's had that jaw book before.
13:30He's, uh...
13:30Yes.
13:31G1 2014?
13:32Exactly right.
13:33Hiroshi Tanahashi.
13:34Yeah.
13:35People getting behind matched, uh, people in matched again behind Goto as they're starting
13:45to realize Goto really needs their support right now.
13:48I don't know.
13:49Well, you said he was on Dream Street earlier.
13:51If he hits this package foul driver, that's gonna be it, baby.
13:54Oh, no, no!
13:55Yoshihashi.
13:56Another great save by Yoshihashi.
13:58Yeah, always great support.
14:00Always great support work from Yoshihashi.
14:02He always knows when his partner needs it the most.
14:05Oh!
14:06Stiff warm trading there.
14:08In danger though.
14:09Oh!
14:13Always mute as Yoshihashi knows exactly where Goto is at every moment in time.
14:18And they both know where Chase Owens is.
14:20Uh-oh.
14:21Chase better get out of there.
14:22Oh!
14:23Up on the shoulders.
14:27He keeps it.
14:28He's on the violent flash.
14:31Goto was always early to bed, ready to rise.
14:38So it's 7.16.
14:39This might be it.
14:40Not die!
14:41!
14:42Shota means lights out to Chase Owens.
15:02Alright, so Bishon on the board here is Chase and Yujiro, well still off it.
15:12House of Torture just dropping their second here tonight.
15:19Not a good night for House of Torture.
15:21Yup. Well you've got seven matches in this World Tag League campaign.
15:26And it's top two advance.
15:28Okay.
15:29So...
15:30What's it top two or top four of these semivinals?
15:33Yeah, so top, well four altogether, but top two from each block, right?
15:37Oh gosh, gotcha, gotcha.
15:38So, I would say that maybe if you lose three, you've still got a chance.
15:44Okay.
15:45If you lose four, then it's looking pretty rough.
15:47That's pretty hard to come back from.
15:50We'll see whether Chase and Yujiro can bounce back home.
15:56Oh bro, they've got Yodosuji and Gabe Kidd next.
15:59That's a difficult ask.
16:01Wednesday night in Send-Up.
16:03Very true.
16:04But if they're underestimated, that's when they can become very, very dangerous.
16:08The revolution is not over yet.
16:14And Hiroki Goto wants his path to the IWTP Tag Team Championships.
16:33Potentially a shot inside the Tokyo Dome Wrestle Kingdom 20.
16:38Can you believe that, Lance?
16:39Sold out in the Tokyo Dome January the 4th.
16:42Extra seating being made available November 30th.
16:45But as we speak right now, that big old building sold out.
16:50That is pretty dang cool, man.
16:52I mean, it's all about the respect for Tanahashi.
16:55Like, I was saying today on my Instagram, I was like,
16:57I've always highly considered him probably one of the top workers in the business.
17:03Like, what I got to see with him when I was watching him
17:07or that I was in the ring competing against him,
17:09especially in my, you know, heyday with New Japan where I was on concert tours working in G1s.
17:14G1s.
