00:04Please welcome your host, Fleur East.
00:20CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
00:23Hello and welcome to Tuesday's episode of It Takes Two on BBC Two and iPlayer!
00:30It's Tuesday and with the Blackpool glitter dust settling, so is our sugar rush from all those fairgrounds, sweets and sticks of rock.
00:38But because we think life can never be too sweet, we thought we'd provide a little more sugar for you if you fancy it.
00:43Yes, please!
00:45Well, since you are so nicely, let me start unwrapping all the eye candy we've got lined up for tonight's show.
00:52There was no skirting around this Paso. Karen and Carlos are here to talk drama, passion,
00:57and whether the future of their next performance is looking as crystal clear as their last.
01:02They're still celebrating that seriously good performance.
01:06I'll be deep diving into Amber and Nikita's quick step and finding out whether they think this week's instant dance will keep them afloat or leave them in the deep end.
01:16Plus, nobody puts Joanne Clifton in a corner, unless it's to talk us through some choreography.
01:21It's Joanne Clifton!
01:22And we've got some exciting news for you.
01:27Not only will I be revealing this year's pro-challenge step, but...
01:31Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho!
01:33Santa's back with more Christmas celebs!
01:35Ho, ho, ho, ho!
01:36So stick around for the official announcement of who our fourth and fifth Strictly Christmas stars are.
01:42Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho!
01:43Thanks, Santa.
01:45But first, there's no sugarcoating that passion in our next guest's performance.
01:49Karen and Carlos are here to talk about their Paso, which Motsi said was so good,
01:54she didn't have a paddle that in any way could express how good that dance was.
01:58Oh, and if I'd known her, I would have let her this.
02:01Maybe next time.
02:02The drama, the choreography was brilliant, your execution was amazing, your timing, your intensity.
02:11No one will dance better than that.
02:12You are wonderful!
02:14I do not have a paddle that in any way can express how good that dance was.
02:22You nailed everything like a top-class professional, having never danced before.
02:27That is epic.
02:28It will go down in history!
02:30Please welcome Karen and Carlos!
02:373-10s, the highest ever Blackpool score for a footballer,
02:41and you've got Motsi and Shirley jumping to their feet during your dance.
02:45This is them at the end.
02:47Wow.
02:49How would you get a chance to see this?
02:51I have not seen that.
02:52Could you have imagined a reaction like that in Blackpool?
02:56No.
02:56I literally, I still, I looked at that then and I was like, was that us?
03:00Well, I still watch things and think, oh, we're in that show and that's us.
03:04So it's really strange to see it back, but it was unbelievable.
03:06I loved every minute of it.
03:08Yeah, and it's not just you hitting some PBs.
03:10Carlos, Carlos, this is your highest score in Blackpool.
03:14Yes!
03:14I'm buzzing!
03:14What do you think it was about this dance that made it click for you?
03:18I mean, it's everything.
03:20It's everything that we have in the moment.
03:24Costume, makeup, hair, you know, the actual dancers, the music, the band,
03:30the whole production of the dance, but also I think the most important essence is of the ballroom.
03:36The magic of the ballroom has really landed in that dance.
03:40And I believe we both felt the magic of that ballroom and really helped us.
03:46That's the best run we've ever done.
03:48Oh, that's amazing.
03:50That's what you want.
03:50You want it to happen on the night.
03:51We need to remind ourselves of this special moment with the fluorography and that spin.
03:57Yeah.
03:58So let's take a look again.
03:59I'm ready to clean the floor, really.
04:01Look at that.
04:03I mean, how tough was it to get Kaz to make that look so effortless and be so precise?
04:07I mean, the amount of the times we practiced that floor spin is just countless.
04:15I know she had bruises on both sides of the legs.
04:17Wow.
04:18Yeah, it's an effort and we really worked.
04:20But also, it's kind of easy for her to start.
04:22I just said, stop!
04:23But she was like, OK.
04:26Were you pleased with how it turned out on the night?
04:28Oh, um, I mean, yeah, it couldn't have for us.
04:32Like Carla said, I actually made a few mistakes in the rehearsals.
04:36Oh, OK.
04:37So when that happened, I was like, whoa.
04:40But it, like Carla said, when you're in that magical ballroom, like, I did feel like we turned it on.
04:46I don't know, it was weird.
04:47I've never, ever felt like that.
04:48But I literally was like, right, we're going to really go for it.
04:51That was the first time I felt to dance with a person who never danced before.
04:56But I had my full professional levels in that performances.
05:00I never felt it before.
05:02It was just magical for me.
05:03I got goosebumps myself after the dance.
05:06The reaction from the audience was incredible.
05:09Yeah.
05:09It just, it was, yeah, it was really a beautiful moment.
05:13Shirley loved it.
05:13She said this Paso will go down in strictly history.
05:16It will.
05:17I mean, that's, that's high praise.
05:19Craig was the only one to give critique, though, and a nine.
05:22Be honest, where you gutted that you didn't pull out the ten.
05:24You know what?
05:24No.
05:25I genuinely, I've always stood by it, and I'll always say this to Carlos.
05:30It's how we feel.
05:31Obviously, the judges are there, and we will take on their feedback,
05:35and we've tried to every single week.
05:37But me and Carlos came off that, and we knew we gave everything,
05:41and we couldn't have done any better.
05:42And that's what's important to us.
05:45We can't control anything else, only what we do.
05:48And also, if we're ever given the chance where Craig ever puts up that ten,
05:54it will be so magical if we ever get that.
05:56So we'll work towards that, and we'll take on his feedback.
05:59Yes, I love it.
06:00I love it.
06:01Well, you're, of course, through to this week,
06:03or you'll be doing your couple's choice,
06:05and you'll be dancing it to this.
06:09Lady Gaga, Born This Way.
06:12Now, Kaz, you mentioned at the weekend that with this dance,
06:15you just wanted to feel free.
06:17So with a couple's choice, are you really excited to be able to just let loose?
06:21Yeah, it's really cool, because there's no rules,
06:23and you can just do what you want within the framework.
06:26He keeps saying it's still framework.
06:27But there is an element where I can actually just do what I want,
06:32which is a little bit nerve-wracking, I'm sure, for Carlos.
06:34Probably that's how I feel with him most weeks.
06:37But, yeah, I just get to do me, and that's really cool.
06:41He's given me the chance to do that, and Jack, the choreographer.
06:43So, yeah, it's awesome.
06:45Yeah, well, we heard that you haven't agreed yet on the style.
06:47We were.
06:48What are we going with now?
06:50After, you know, after long discussions,
06:52we decided to throw everything.
06:55Everything she loves.
06:56Moves, you know, grooving, you know, street, commercial, pop, breaking.
07:01You know, everything.
07:02Wow.
07:02You know, everything.
07:03Let's see.
07:03Just have fun.
07:04Well, the song's all about self-acceptance,
07:06empowerment, and celebrating diversity.
07:09You're working with Jake Lee on the choreography.
07:11How are you going to bring that message to life in the dance?
07:13Jake's just wonderful.
07:14He came to me with a great concept of this dance.
07:18We wanted this dance to be celebration.
07:20We want this dance to have all of the contents
07:23that Karen feel comfortable with
07:25and can really, really express it for herself
07:27in the best way she can.
07:29So, and today, the second day of the rehearsal,
07:31it did come across alive,
07:33and you can tell she's loving it.
07:35And there's, like she said, no rules, no heels.
07:38She's, yeah.
07:39Yes, what does the message of the song mean to you, Kaz?
07:43The reason why we actually picked it
07:46was the first line is,
07:48my mama told me when we were young,
07:50we were all born superstars,
07:51but I told my mum that when I was 11,
07:55I was going to play for England.
07:57And she said to me,
07:58we've all, there's so many barriers out there.
08:01She, all she said to me was,
08:03if you want something, work hard for it
08:05and go after it.
08:07And Carlos absolutely adores his mum and your mum.
08:11So it's very personal for both of us,
08:13for our mums.
08:14Our mums have encouraged Carlos to be the amazing dancer he is.
08:18And my mum has pushed me to become a footballer.
08:22And I believe that I was born to play football
08:26and he was born to dance.
08:27So we're born this way.
08:29Oh, yeah.
08:30It's a lovely, lovely story.
08:32I love that.
08:33We also have to talk about this week's Instant Dance Challenge.
08:36Let's not, let's not.
08:38Well, aside from your concerns about Carlos,
08:41how are you feeling about this?
08:43What was going through your mind
08:44when you were told about this challenge?
08:45Um, panic.
08:47Um, still panic and anxiety.
08:50But I trust this guy.
08:52So I know whatever he tells me to do
08:55or whatever he wants to do,
08:56whatever he does,
08:57I'll just be, I'll be led by him,
08:59I'll be guided by him
09:00and I'll just go with it with him.
09:02Amazing.
09:03Well, good luck in training.
09:05It's Karen and Carlos!
09:06Now, we all know about bar charts and pie charts,
09:14but there's one chart we look forward to every single week.
09:16It's time to get the lowdown on all the songs
09:18our couples will be dancing to in Top of the Bops.
09:27Welcome to the official It Takes Two chart show countdown.
09:31In case you didn't manage to catch the results show,
09:34here are the songs our couples will be dancing to
09:36this Saturday.
09:37So in no particular order,
09:38here's this week's Top of the Bops.
09:42Climbing back to six,
09:43George and Alexis will be dancing a quick step
09:45to Get a Kick Out of You by Frank Sinatra.
09:48Hopefully the judges will get a kick out of this one.
09:52At five, Balvinda and Julian will be jiving
09:55to Right Back Where We Started From by Maxine Nightingale.
09:58So let's see if this track helps them get right back
10:00where they belong in the competition.
10:03A non-mover at four,
10:04Lewis and Katia will be performing a rumba
10:06to Falling by Harry Styles.
10:09But Lewis will be hoping for no falls this weekend.
10:13Now the moment you've all been waiting for,
10:15it's the top three.
10:16Again, in no particular order.
10:18Straight in at number three,
10:20Alex and Johannes will be dancing a cha-cha-cha to this.
10:23That's Ring My Bell by Anita Ward,
10:27released in 1979.
10:29It spent two weeks at number one.
10:31They'll be hoping they can ring in some magic
10:33and cha-cha charm us this weekend.
10:35At number two, we just heard from them,
10:38Karen and Carlos will be performing
10:40their couple's choice to this.
10:42That's Lady Gaga's track, Born This Way.
10:46Known for her reinventions,
10:48this routine promises to be Gaga-level iconic.
10:51Let's hope they can defeat Craig's poker face this weekend.
10:53And at number one,
10:56Amber and Nikita are jiving to this.
10:59That's Proud Mary by Tina Turner.
11:03Former Strictly celeb Alexandra Burke
11:04earned a perfect 40 for her jive in the final
11:07to this track back in 2017.
11:10Amber and Nikita will be hoping
11:11they make themselves proud with this one.
11:14And that's it for this week's official Strictly top of the box.
11:21Next up, before we announce our next Christmas celebs,
11:23our pros have been warming up for something else.
11:26Ready to take on a step that took TikTok by storm,
11:29and battle it out for a Guinness World Record title.
11:31Yes, you guessed it.
11:32Tomorrow sees the return of...
11:34The Pro Challenge.
11:37Here's a little teaser.
11:39The Strictly Pro Challenge is back.
11:43Our professional dancers are attempting to set
11:46a world record for the most samba whisks.
11:50Performed in 30 seconds.
11:52Let's go!
11:54This year, I'm on the panel,
11:56and I'll be keeping a close watch
11:59on our dancers' technique.
12:01No!
12:02This hard sun!
12:03No!
12:04I lost it!
12:05Ah!
12:05Only one pro can be victorious.
12:09Ah!
12:10I've got this.
12:11World record, I'm coming for you.
12:13Let's go!
12:14Bring it on.
12:15Welcome to the Strictly Pro Challenge 2025.
12:20Let's go!
12:21Oh, it looks good.
12:24Now...
12:25Oh, you guys, you know what that sound means.
12:29It's time to announce more celebrities
12:30taking part in this year's Christmas special.
12:34But first, let's recap on all the cracking celebs
12:36we have so far.
12:38Our first festive reveal was presenter
12:41and former queen of the jungle,
12:42Scarlet Muffet.
12:44She'll be dancing with Vito.
12:45Next out of the Strictly stocking
12:48was Menelie Blatt.
12:49We'll be dancing with Kai.
12:51And finally, we unwrapped Jodie Owensley,
12:53a.k.a. Fury from Gladiators.
12:55We'll be dancing with Neil.
12:57So who else is about to jingle
12:59all the way onto our Christmas Day dance floor?
13:01Let's find out.
13:03What's going on, people?
13:04It's me, Baba Tunde Alesje, here.
13:06I'm here to tell you that I am taking part
13:09in this year's Christmas special
13:11of Strictly Come Dancing.
13:13That's right!
13:14I'm here to shake a leg
13:16and show you how it's done.
13:18That's right.
13:19All you've got to do is two steps.
13:20Just hit, bow.
13:22Oh, you see that?
13:23If you want to see more than that,
13:25just tune in.
13:26And I'm going to be doing that
13:26the whole routine.
13:28And also, if you want to know
13:30who my partner is,
13:31over to you, Fleur.
13:34Thanks, Baba Tunde Alesje.
13:36I can indeed reveal
13:37Baba Tunde Alesje's pro dance partner is
13:39Nancy!
13:40Ready for another one?
13:44Yes, please.
13:45Okay, here you go.
13:47Hi, my name's Nicholas Bailey,
13:50and you might know me for playing
13:51Dr. Anthony Truman in BBC's EastEnders,
13:54and I'm delighted to be joining you
13:56for Strictly's Christmas special.
13:59It's such an amazing opportunity.
14:00I'm going to have a fantastic time,
14:02but the most amazing thing
14:03is my incredible partner.
14:05Hello, yes.
14:06Oh, no, no, no, I've got the partner.
14:07Yes, he's wonderful.
14:08Yes.
14:08He danced before?
14:09Definitely, yeah.
14:10Yeah, yeah, yeah.
14:11Oh, he's going to be great.
14:12Choreography's perfect.
14:15See you there.
14:18How exciting.
14:20We can't wait to watch Baba Tunde
14:21and Nicholas unwrap
14:22some serious moves on Christmas Day.
14:24And stay tuned,
14:25as Jeanette will be officially announcing
14:27the final Christmas celebrity
14:28on tomorrow's show.
14:30Yeah!
14:30Now, Picasso, Da Vinci, Van Gogh,
14:34just some of the great artists.
14:36But there's someone
14:37whose art never fails to inspire me.
14:39And she's been working tirelessly
14:40since last Monday
14:41to ensure tonight's masterpiece
14:43is her greatest creation yet.
14:45And I think she's almost done.
14:47How are you getting on, Jo?
14:50Voila!
14:52Well, then,
14:53I guess it's time for Choreography Corner.
15:00What a weekend.
15:16Let's start.
15:17Let's talk about Alex and Johannes
15:18and the couple's choice.
15:19Now, Craig mentioned
15:20he wanted to see more definition
15:21in Alex's movement.
15:23Did you agree?
15:24And what difference
15:25do you think that would have made?
15:26I do agree.
15:27And if we watch the clip now,
15:28you're going to see three
15:29kind of like accents.
15:30One, two, three,
15:32to the music.
15:33Then there was a lovely
15:34extended arms there.
15:35And then she does a little cheeky,
15:36like, oh, wiping her
15:37sweat off her brow
15:38kind of thing there.
15:39Now, those first three
15:41accents were to the music.
15:42It was like,
15:43ba-boom, ba-boom, ba-boom.
15:44I would have loved her
15:45to be a little bit sharper,
15:46a little bit more punch to it
15:48and a little bit further away
15:49from her body
15:50so that the people
15:51at the back of the room
15:52can see what she was doing.
15:54She did that in other moments,
15:56like up on the shoulder,
15:57she was filling the space,
15:58but we needed a little bit more.
16:00Then her arm was beautiful.
16:01Then this thing here, right?
16:03Again, the people at the back
16:04need to see it.
16:05It's a little bit like,
16:05I'm in a play now,
16:06but in a play,
16:07everything's kind of
16:08understated and internal.
16:10And in a musical,
16:11you kind of present it
16:12a little bit further out
16:13and it needed to be
16:13a little bit more
16:14like you're in a musical
16:16so that the people
16:16at the back can see it.
16:18So I'm hoping
16:19she'll do that next week.
16:20Right, on to Amber
16:21and Nikita and the quick step.
16:22Now, Motsi recognised
16:23that Amber had been
16:24working on stretching
16:25like the judges
16:26had asked her to
16:27but felt that she
16:28could have relaxed more.
16:29Where did she see that
16:30and how should it have looked?
16:31I mean, Amber's a perfectionist.
16:33You can absolutely tell.
16:34She was stretching up,
16:35but she stretched up so far
16:36that you can see
16:37the gapping there.
16:38She actually became
16:39a banana shape.
16:40She was extending
16:40from her lower back
16:41instead of from the area
16:43where her bra strap would be.
16:44Let me get you a diagram.
16:46Oh, here she is.
16:47Here's my diagram of the week
16:49when I was working on her.
16:51So basically,
16:52she had this kind of
16:53shape going on,
16:54like a banana shape,
16:55where you only have
16:56one point of contact.
16:57It's easy to lose.
16:59If she would go
17:00from her bra strap
17:01and like project up
17:02where her sternum is
17:03and keep that part
17:05of her body straight,
17:06she can have
17:06her two contact points,
17:08hip and rib.
17:10That way,
17:10we can keep
17:11a nice diagonal line
17:12out and less gapping.
17:15She did promenade position
17:16excellent.
17:17She was listening to Shirley
17:18last week
17:18about the head position
17:19and in my opinion,
17:20she had the hardest dance,
17:22not because of the choreography,
17:23but because it was
17:24the easiest to see
17:25the mistakes in.
17:25So props to her.
17:26Well, those drawings,
17:27Vince and Joanne got them.
17:29All right?
17:30Okay, on to Georgia
17:31and Alexis
17:32and the salsa.
17:33Now, Craig felt
17:34the whole base
17:34of Georgia's salsa
17:35was danced
17:36a little bit wide.
17:37What did he mean by that?
17:38Well, first of all,
17:40where did this come from?
17:41I mean, look at his face
17:42here in a minute.
17:43Like, I was like,
17:44what is this?
17:45We've never seen
17:46this side of George,
17:47but we'll talk about
17:48that in a minute.
17:49So the base in salsa
17:50has to kind of stay
17:51underneath the body.
17:53So when you're going
17:53from the side to side
17:54or forward and back,
17:55you have it here
17:56underneath the body
17:57so then you can do
17:58the hip action
17:59and forward as well.
18:00I did see a few times
18:01when he did the backward step
18:03that it was a little bit
18:04too far back
18:06so he didn't get
18:06his weight over the foot.
18:08But the performance of it,
18:10I think what people
18:10need to understand
18:11is the performance
18:12of the dance
18:12is just as important
18:13as the technical stuff
18:15because you're selling it
18:16and you can.
18:17We say fake it
18:18till you make it.
18:19I don't think he was faking it.
18:20I think he loved that dance.
18:22But it's like
18:23you need to perform it.
18:25You can be as technically
18:25perfect as you want
18:26but you can't be boring
18:27and I hope he keeps that up
18:29for the rest of the series.
18:31OK, on to Lewis and Katya
18:33and their charleston.
18:33All the judges
18:34loved this routine
18:35and Lewis earned
18:36the second 40 of the series.
18:39What stood out
18:39the most to you?
18:40Oh my gosh,
18:41I'm a bit like Anton.
18:41I have no words.
18:42I'm like, wow.
18:43I mean, look,
18:44the lifts,
18:45I thought it was
18:46going to be too much
18:47Lindy Hop
18:48but no,
18:48they went into a charleston.
18:49It was perfect
18:49but look at this part,
18:50the coordination
18:51and the speed
18:52between arms and legs
18:53and the synchronicity of it.
18:54So I'm going to do
18:55a little exercise
18:57for people at home
18:58to help with coordination.
19:00Right?
19:01So I want everybody
19:02at home to try this
19:03in demo time.
19:05Woo!
19:08OK, now this might seem
19:10a little bit silly
19:11but it is a coordination
19:12exercise that we do
19:13as dancers,
19:14beginners,
19:15to help with coordination.
19:17So everybody at home,
19:17please try along with us.
19:19We're going to bang our knees
19:20or the table twice.
19:21One, two.
19:22You put one hand
19:23on your nose.
19:24You put the other hand
19:25across to your ear.
19:27Again,
19:28one, two.
19:29Then the other hand
19:30on your nose
19:30and then cross
19:32on the other side.
19:33So it goes
19:33one, two, three.
19:35One, two, three.
19:36Get faster.
19:37One, two, three.
19:38One, two, three.
19:40One, two, three.
19:41OK, if you want
19:42to make it even more difficult,
19:43add the feet
19:44to different rhythms.
19:45So you have
19:45one and two and
19:47one and two and
19:48one, two, three.
19:50One, two, three.
19:51One, two, three.
19:53Well done, everybody.
19:55That is an exercise
19:56that we do as beginners.
19:58The whole studio
19:59is involved.
19:59That was so fun.
20:00On to Karen and Carlos
20:01and the Paso.
20:02Now, Shirley praised
20:03Carlos' choreography
20:04for being of the highest
20:06competitive quality
20:07and Motsi said
20:08she didn't have a paddle
20:09high enough to score this.
20:11What did you think?
20:12Let's be clear.
20:13This was a 40.
20:15I don't know
20:15what Craig was looking at.
20:16The thing is,
20:17like, he,
20:18I think he was like,
20:19I don't know,
20:20listening to earlier comments
20:21on different Pasos
20:22when they've said,
20:23oh, I love the regalness,
20:24the calmness,
20:25the slowness and control.
20:27But they had the music.
20:28Bum, bum, bum, bum.
20:30Like, what are you going to do?
20:31So you're not going to be slow,
20:31are you?
20:32So she attacked it.
20:33She was great.
20:34And what we were speaking about
20:35last week with the fibres,
20:37the fast twitch fibres,
20:38this is exactly where
20:40she used them
20:40to the best of her ability.
20:42She did the spin on the floor,
20:43abs of steel,
20:44and bam, stopped
20:45in the perfect direction
20:46with the perfect position
20:48and up she goes.
20:49I also think she's been
20:50working on the slower ones
20:51because she didn't
20:52actually look stiff.
20:53She hit the lines,
20:55but she didn't look like,
20:56ooh, like that.
20:57She was actually brilliant.
20:59Ten from me.
20:59OK.
21:00On to Balvinda and Julian
21:01and the Argentine tango.
21:03Now,
21:03Motsi and Shirley agreed
21:04that Bal needed to focus
21:05on the tiny details
21:07when finishing each movement.
21:08What did you make
21:09of her performance?
21:10I actually thought,
21:11along with her couple's choice,
21:12that this was her best dance.
21:14Ah.
21:14I loved this side of her,
21:16which was calm,
21:17focused and sultry.
21:18There's a bit coming up
21:19in a second
21:19where she stops dead still
21:21and right to her finger...
21:23There.
21:23Ooh.
21:23To her fingertips.
21:24She's like an ice statue,
21:26like a queen.
21:27Yes.
21:27It was brilliant.
21:28We did have a few details
21:30like on the ganchos,
21:31which means hook
21:32with these behind his legs.
21:34She wasn't pointing her feet
21:35and also on the lift
21:36and everything.
21:38And also,
21:38she had what I call
21:39a bunch of banana hands,
21:40so she would put it
21:41on her shoulder like that
21:42rather than that.
21:44But another amazing dance.
21:46Well,
21:46do you think you can come back
21:47next week with some more drawings?
21:49I think I can.
21:50Amazing.
21:50Let's hear it for Joanne Clifton!
21:52CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
21:53CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
21:56Next up,
21:57Amber and Nikita
21:57made such a splash
21:58at the weekend.
21:59We couldn't help
22:00but reach for the stars ourselves
22:01because when Shells,
22:03Sand and Sea are involved,
22:04it's true.
22:05There really ain't no party
22:06like an S-Club party.
22:07Let's remind ourselves
22:08of their quicksap.
22:12You're very energetic.
22:14You're light.
22:15You change.
22:16You're quick.
22:16You have a lot of fluidity.
22:18I love this guy.
22:18Your timing is exceptional.
22:23You are such a brilliant performer.
22:28You covered this wonderful floor
22:30amazingly,
22:32absolutely gorgeous.
22:35I loved it.
22:35Well done.
22:36You've never got to live.
22:40It's Amber and Nikita!
22:43Guys,
22:43a quick step
22:44in the iconic Tower Ballroom
22:46and no elimination.
22:48How good did it feel
22:48to just enjoy that moment
22:49without the pressure
22:50of a dance-off
22:51hanging over everyone?
22:52Very true.
22:52I was still extremely nervous.
22:55Really?
22:55Yeah.
22:56I had like one second of,
22:58oh, this is amazing,
23:00and then,
23:01I don't know,
23:02there was something
23:02about the quick step
23:03that had me really nervous,
23:05and I think it was the frame.
23:07The frame.
23:07Wow.
23:08There's something
23:08about me and the frame.
23:10I was getting it
23:11by the end of the week,
23:12but with me,
23:13when I get a little bit nervous,
23:15I tend to grab.
23:18Yeah.
23:20Interesting reflex.
23:21Yeah.
23:22Everything.
23:23Yeah.
23:24Like that.
23:25And Amber,
23:26you dedicated the dance
23:27to your nana,
23:28Jeannette,
23:29who was there
23:30cheering you on
23:31in the audience.
23:32Yes, there she is.
23:33There she is.
23:33There she is.
23:34You know,
23:35she's been my number one fan
23:36my entire life,
23:38so to be able to,
23:39like, do something for her,
23:41you know,
23:42it's very special
23:43to me,
23:44to my family,
23:45so I'm so glad
23:46that I got to do that.
23:47Well, she even made it
23:48onto the dance floor herself.
23:49She did.
23:50Check this out.
23:51She's got some moves.
23:52Woo!
23:52Woo!
23:53Woo!
23:53Woo!
23:53Woo!
23:54Woo!
23:54Woo!
23:54Woo!
23:55Woo!
23:55Woo!
23:56Woo!
23:56Woo!
23:57Woo!
23:58Woo!
23:58Woo!
23:59Woo!
24:00Woo!
24:00Woo!
24:01Woo!
24:02Thank you for doing that.
24:04Mama, please.
24:05How did you make her life?
24:06She's the best.
24:07She's just the best.
24:08Big up Nana.
24:08We all love our nanas,
24:10don't we?
24:10Yeah, we do.
24:11They're just the best thing
24:12in the world.
24:12Without them,
24:13we wouldn't be the same.
24:13Big up all the nanas
24:14around the world.
24:16Nana Jeanette, though,
24:17wasn't the only family member there,
24:19Nikita.
24:19Your parents were there as well,
24:21watching you.
24:22Look at them, so proud.
24:24So what do your parents
24:25make of your partnership?
24:26They absolutely loved it.
24:28They were so, so happy
24:31to just be there.
24:32They were happy
24:32to see us dance together
24:34because it was obviously
24:35the first time
24:35that they actually came
24:36this year.
24:38And yeah,
24:39they just loved it.
24:40It was just so nice
24:41seeing them smiling,
24:43seeing them there,
24:44seeing them just enjoy the time
24:45and being hopefully
24:47a little bit proud as well.
24:48You know?
24:48They are so proud of you.
24:49It's just,
24:50it's just the best thing
24:51in the world.
24:51It's lovely.
24:52And Amber,
24:52having the experience
24:53of large scale stage shows
24:55with the extra dancers,
24:56did you feel a little bit
24:57more at home?
24:57I mean,
24:58you said you were nervous,
24:59but was that a bit
24:59of a comfort?
25:00No, I loved that.
25:01I absolutely loved that.
25:04Especially when we could
25:05like do the tricks
25:06and things like that.
25:08And at the end,
25:08I think I like,
25:09what,
25:09last three-eighths
25:10of our routine
25:11was like all of us
25:12dancing together.
25:13Yes.
25:13And it was,
25:14the energy was just so good,
25:15even in rehearsal.
25:17I couldn't see none of you,
25:17you know?
25:18I was just facing the front
25:19and I was like hoping
25:20that everything was good.
25:21I was just hoping
25:24that everything is fine
25:25behind my back.
25:26You took full advantage
25:27of the extra dancers,
25:29Nikita,
25:29with this crab style
25:30move that you did.
25:32I was not sure
25:32where we were going
25:33for the sentence.
25:34Yeah, look,
25:35look at you.
25:35Here we go.
25:36Little crab to the side.
25:38Yeah.
25:39What inspired this move,
25:40Nikita?
25:41You know what?
25:42It's a variation
25:44of this move
25:45has been done
25:46like in 1960s
25:47and we just
25:48were searching
25:49for a way
25:50to do something cool
25:53and it was just
25:54a billion things
25:55that we could have done
25:56and we decided
25:57to be a crab.
25:58You know?
25:59Well, it went with the theme.
26:00It did.
26:01You know?
26:01Blackpool pier and beach
26:03and all that.
26:03Yeah, blackpool,
26:05fish and chips,
26:06lobsters, crab,
26:08crab on the dance floor,
26:09quick step,
26:1140.
26:11But that is so much effort
26:13to do that.
26:15Yeah.
26:15I was more exhausted
26:16from that
26:17than from the whole routine.
26:18I love that.
26:19Well, the quick step
26:20is now in the past
26:21and you'll be dancing
26:22a jive to this.
26:26Tina Turner,
26:28Proud Mary.
26:30I mean,
26:31you've gone from
26:31a fast-paced quick step
26:33to an even faster dance.
26:34It's so fast.
26:35The jive,
26:36you're probably still
26:37catching your breath.
26:38How are you finding
26:38this dance?
26:40Well, I feel like
26:41from Blackpool,
26:42I think everyone
26:43is like slightly
26:44on the back foot
26:45and a little bit fatigued.
26:47I mean,
26:47I've been fatigued
26:48for 10 weeks.
26:49Well, I was going to say,
26:49yeah.
26:50When Nikita was teaching
26:51me the jive today,
26:52I had like three brain cells
26:54and I was trying
26:55to figure it out.
26:56So hopefully,
26:57you know,
26:58tomorrow after a good sleep,
26:59I'll tackle it again.
27:01Yeah, no,
27:01it was great.
27:02It was great.
27:02It's just very fast.
27:03It's so fast.
27:04You know it.
27:05And we need to talk
27:05about the instant dance challenge.
27:08I mean,
27:09this is going to be chaos.
27:09The judges will be marking
27:10the dancers from six to one
27:12and this could really shake up
27:14the leaderboard, actually.
27:15This could change everything.
27:16Nikita,
27:17you were so excited
27:18for this in the results show
27:19for Amber.
27:20What do you think about it?
27:21Well,
27:22this is my thought.
27:24We're in a very dangerous spot
27:26on the leaderboard.
27:27Yeah, we are.
27:27So we could really benefit
27:29from the extra six points.
27:31OK, yeah.
27:32So at first,
27:33I thought,
27:33oh, this is going to be so fun,
27:35so excited.
27:35And now I'm thinking,
27:36actually,
27:37we need to be really good at it.
27:39Well,
27:39we do our best.
27:40And then,
27:41no,
27:41listen,
27:42the priority is still
27:43to show off Amber's skills.
27:44Yeah.
27:45But at the same time,
27:47it's an entertainment show,
27:48live television.
27:50So let's have some fun,
27:52you know,
27:52no rules.
27:53And I feel like
27:54out of everyone,
27:55I've got the most chaotic partner.
27:56So I have no idea
27:57what he's going to make me do.
27:59Oh,
27:59it's going to be so fun.
28:00Good luck in training.
28:02Can't wait to see you all.
28:03Thank you so much.
28:04It's Amber and Nikita.
28:05Yay!
28:08Well,
28:09that's it for tonight.
28:10Jeanette will be here tomorrow
28:11with the first professional
28:12to take part
28:12in our pro challenge.
28:14And she will be announcing
28:15the final celebrity
28:16for this year's Christmas special.
28:18Plus,
28:18she'll be catching up
28:19with Balvinda and Julian
28:20and George and Alexis.
28:21Have a lovely evening.
