00:00The Trump administration is pushing Ukraine to accept the 28-point peace plan,
00:18even if it comes at the cost of Ukraine ceding territory to Russia,
00:22reducing its military size and giving up its advanced and long-range weapons.
00:27Donald Trump is also tightening the noose on Ukrainian President Zelensky to accept the plan
00:32by threatening to halt all weapons aid to Kyiv.
00:36Even more so, Trump appears completely ignorant of Russia's continued bombing of Ukraine,
00:42as today's events have shown.
00:44U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll held an unannounced meeting with Russian officials in Abu Dhabi
00:50on the very same day that massive Russian strikes killed at least seven people
00:55and injured several others in Kyiv.
00:58The exact nature of the talks in Abu Dhabi, confirmed by Reuters, is not immediately clear,
01:03and neither is there information yet on who exactly was part of the Russian delegation Driscoll met.
01:09There are, however, reports that while in Abu Dhabi,
01:12Driscoll will also meet Ukrainian officials to discuss details of the peace plan.
01:17These talks come as Zelensky faces an extremely difficult choice—lose territory and dignity
01:23or prolong the suffering of Ukrainians by continuing a long and exhausting war.
01:30Caught in a desperate situation, Zelensky is now planning a hurried trip to the United States
01:35to try and get concessions from President Trump, according to reports.
01:39Reuters has reported that Ukrainian and U.S. officials are discussing the possibility of Zelensky's visit to the White House,
01:45potentially as early as this week.
01:48Zelensky has said that Ukraine is coordinating steps with the U.S.
01:52and trying to include some of the most sensitive issues in the final plan,
01:56such as an all-for-all exchange of captives and the release of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.
02:02Zelensky said, and I quote,
02:04Borders cannot be changed by force.
02:07Criminals must not remain unpunished.
02:10They must answer for the war that they started.
02:13Crucial days now lie ahead.
02:15Days that could change the landscape of the war
02:18and likely redraw the maps of both Ukraine and Russia.
02:22And once again, the United States stands as a key player in what happens next.
