00:04the dark side of kids TV docuseries. On a recent episode of her The Breakdown podcast,
00:09Bialik discussed the allegations in the doc with former child stars Christy Carlson Romano and
00:14Jenna Von Oye, and noted how the alleged experiences women faced at Nickelodeon while
00:19working under Dan Schneider, detailed in the five-part series, weren't much different than
00:23things that I heard about on other sets during our time. The Big Bang Theory alum added in response,
00:28women being berated in the writer's room is something that was just like, I mean, I hate to
00:33say it, it's considered par for the course. I will say I do not believe that happened in our writer's
00:38room, and there were things that we all thought were okay to even joke about, which now we'd be
00:42mortified. Later in the episode, former Even Stevens star Christy Carlson admitted that she hadn't seen
00:47Quiet on Set because she found it extremely triggering. I think we're all kind of living
00:51with a little bit of survivor's guilt. That could have been any one of us, and we all kind of need
00:56to grieve together. The docu-series dove into allegations of abuse, sexism, racism,
01:01and inappropriate behavior involving underage stars and crew members on Nickelodeon TV shows
01:06under Schneider. Bialik explained,
01:08You're watching what the entire culture was like. This is not what happened because Nickelodeon
01:13this, that. Of course, it touched me personally. Of course it did. Carlson also revealed that ID
01:18approached her about sharing her story, but she passed, explaining that she felt more comfortable
01:22speaking about it on the podcast. For more on this story, hit to THR.com. And for the latest
