'Marriage Story,' 'The Farewell,' 'Uncut Gems' and 'The Last Black Man' in San Francisco each earned a leading three nominations for the 2019 Gotham Independent Film Awards.

00:14all lead the 2019 Gotham Independent Film Award nominations, with three noms each.

00:19Marriage Story, The Farewell, and Uncut Gems are all nominated for Best Feature,

00:23along with Waves and Hustlers.

00:25And four years after the Gotham Awards began recognizing Small Screen Fare

00:36with its Breakthrough Series Awards, this year it seems to have adjusted the time limits

00:40for Long Form and Short Form Breakthrough Series.

00:43The nominees for Breakthrough Series Long Format Over 40 Minutes include

00:46Chernobyl, David Makes Man, My Brilliant Friend, Unbelievable, and When They See Us.

00:58And on the Breakthrough Series Short Format, Under 40 Minutes side, the noms are

01:02Pen15, Ramy, Tuca & Birdie, Undone, and Russian Doll.

01:11Previously announced Tribute Awards will be given to actors Laura Dern and Sam Rockwell,

01:15director Ava DuVernay, and FilmNation CEO Glenn Bassner.

01:19Dern has a supporting role in Marriage Story, and DuVernay wrote, directed, and executive produced

01:24When They See Us.

01:25Now, IFP members can vote online starting November 25th for the winner in the final competitive category,

01:30the Audience Award.

01:31The 15 films nominated for Best Feature, Best Documentary, and the Bingham Ray Breakthrough Director Award

01:36make up the nominees in that category.

01:39The 2019 Gotham Awards will take place on Monday, December 2nd in New York City.
