00:10newsletter News Not Noise. The actress said, I feel reborn. There are a few types of Cushing,
00:15some that can be fatal. Schumer said she was doing press for her Life in Beth Season 2,
00:20the Hulu series she created and stars in, while also undergoing extensive medical testing.
00:25In MRI machines four hours at a time, having my veins shut down from the amount of blood drawn
00:30and thinking I may not be around to see my son grow up. But the actress noted Tess eventually
00:35revealed that she has the kind of Cushing that will just work itself out and I'm healthy,
00:40adding that it was the greatest news imaginable. It has been a crazy couple of weeks for me and
00:44my family. According to the Mayo Clinic, Cushing syndrome occurs when the body has too much of
00:49the hormone cortisol for a long time. Symptoms include various types of weight gain, including
00:54in the face. Though the train wreck actress said internet discussion of her appearance initially
00:58caused more stress, she admitted that the commentary was what eventually pushed her to
01:02seek a diagnosis. Thank God for that, because that's how I realized something was wrong.
01:07Schumer first responded to the comments about her face looking puffy, noting on Instagram,
01:11thank you so much for everyone's input about my face. She continued noting,
01:16there are some medical and hormonal things going on in my world right now, but I'm okay.
