00:46Percy Jackson and the Olympians had the biggest launch to date for a Disney Plus series that's
00:51not part of either the Star Wars or Marvel universes.
00:53The show's supportive fan base was evident in the turnout at a recent fan event
00:57in Santa Monica, California, tied to the Season 1 finale.
01:01The cast told The Hollywood Reporter this about how Season 1 of the series was brought to life.
01:05They built these huge set pieces, like when we were in the underworld,
01:09I was not at all expecting them to do this.
01:11They made these massive, like, sand dunes for us to slide down into tartars into.
01:16It was, like, they brought an excavator inside the studio just to load and unload all of the sand.
01:22It was awesome.
01:23Yeah, and also, but a lot of it, like, a lot of the really big places, like,
01:27when we were in New York and a lot of that was in the volume stage and it's insane how real it looks.
01:32And Montauk Beach, all of that, that's all in the volume stage, which is crazy.
