00:00Moving on to another nasty situation, and that's Amber Heard and Johnny Depp.
00:05This week, a Virginia judge denied the actress's motion for a mistrial,
00:08despite the fact that her legal team presented evidence that one of the jurors
00:12was not the person who was supposed to serve on the jury.
00:15Now, for context, Amber's lawyers filed a 43-page document asking for the verdict to be dropped,
00:20but the judge rejected the motion in a written response, writing,
00:23The juror was vetted, sat for the entire jury, deliberated, and reached a verdict.
00:28The only evidence before this court is that this juror and all jurors followed their oaths,
00:34the court's instructions, and orders.
00:36This court is bound by the competent decision of the jury.
00:39Well, in addition to this motion, Amber has declared that she will be appealing the verdict regardless,
00:44so we'll just have to wait and see what happens until then.
