Superman VS Batman casts Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred. They join Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck.

00:00What's up guys? Brian here. Man of Steel 2 makes a surprise choice for Lex Luthor.

00:05The social network star Jesse Eisenberg, you remember him, right?

00:08But I wonder if fans will accept his friend requests.

00:11At this point, we can honestly say that we have no idea which direction this Man of Steel sequel is going.

00:17Seriously, after making a controversial decision to cast Ben Affleck as an older and a little weary Batman,

00:24the filmmakers have cast a young and, let's face it guys, kind of nerdy Jesse Eisenberg as the big bad villain Lex Luthor.

00:32Yes, Eisenberg, the same guy who played the super awkward Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in the social network.

00:39But he did get an Oscar nod.

00:42Seems like a random choice to play the iconic nemesis of Superman.

00:46Then again, like our friends over at MovieLine pointed out, both roles require Eisenberg to play super powerful people

00:51who live in their own egotistical world and think they are God's gift to humanity.

00:57So, maybe it isn't a completely out of left field casting choice, right?

01:02Affleck and Eisenberg aren't the only notable newbies joining the franchise.

01:06They've got Jeremy Irons who will play Batman's main man, Alfred.

01:10And as we previously reported, Fast and Furious hottie Gale Godot will play Wonder Woman.

01:15And guys, when I say hottie, I'm talking about smoking hot.

01:19The Untitled Superman sequel is set to release May 6, 2016.
