00:00:00Once upon a time,
00:00:29there was a small caterpillar,
00:00:35but she was born with a big scar.
00:00:41Her wish was to turn into the most amazing butterfly,
00:00:45and unless she went deep into the forest
00:00:48and found the flower of dreams,
00:00:50she would never become what she envisioned.
00:00:54The path ahead was treacherous,
00:00:57full of cunning and poisonous animals.
00:01:05She inched along unnoticed,
00:01:07despite a snake lurking in the woods.
00:01:11But her dreams were stronger than her fears,
00:01:14so she continued on deeper into the forest.
00:01:18Little does she know that even the smallest decisions

00:10:02You're going to get your son upstairs right now,
00:10:04and you're going to do CT scan and ultrasound,
00:10:07which means you're going to be looking for internal bleedings
00:10:09and for damaged organs.
00:10:11Slight increase in BP.
00:10:13But for us to operate at maximum capacity,
00:10:16I would ask you to wait in the lobby.
00:10:17Pressure's dropped.
00:10:22Take care of my son.
00:10:23We'll do our best, sir.

00:12:02Hello, Lepotica.
00:12:08Talk in English.

00:12:15He's...
00:12:15Slow down for a second.
00:12:17You have to tell me exactly what happened.
00:12:23She went farther along into the forest
00:12:26and found herself at a crossroads.
00:12:33There was a branch in her path.
00:12:35Should she move the branch or should she not?
00:12:40She decided she would move the branch.
00:12:46For reasons beyond understanding and out of anyone's control,
00:12:52her seemingly insignificant decision to move that branch
00:12:57started a series of intersecting events.
00:13:02In her dying moments, she couldn't help but wonder what her life would have been like
00:13:11had she not moved that branch.
00:13:15What would life have been like if they had never met?
00:13:19What would life have been like if he never got hit?
00:13:39Good luck on your presentation.

00:19:15Yeah.
00:19:15I heard that you're good at math, which makes you a step closer.
00:19:22Look at that caterpillar over there.
00:19:25Wow.
00:19:33Isn't it special?
00:19:34You want to touch it?
00:19:36No, no, no, no.
00:19:37It's nasty.
00:19:38You might be right.
00:19:39You might be right.
00:19:39You might be right.
00:19:40But you know what?
00:19:42This same exact caterpillar will eventually turn into an amazing butterfly.
00:19:49You know, Daniel, you can achieve great things in this country.
00:20:03It all starts with this.
00:20:07And why didn't you accept the offer?
00:20:10Mom and Dad were so hopeful.
00:20:11They thought finally you were going to have a real job.
00:20:14Why do you want me to commit to something that I don't want to do?
00:20:19And what exactly do you want to do?
00:20:21I told you, I'm working on a film project with a teller.
00:20:26I just don't want you to do anything stupid and end up like the last time.
00:20:28I was expecting more support from my brother.
00:20:42I need to back the teller, man.
00:20:45I'm his homie.
00:20:46I just need him.
00:20:49I was telling you.
00:20:50I'm his son, too.
00:20:50I want him to kill you.
00:20:51I know you've been inside.
00:20:52I just need toEST.
00:20:53I just need to think about him.
00:20:54I just need him to kill me now.
00:20:54I can't do anything.
00:20:55I can do anything I can't do anything other than you do than you have to do nothing here.
00:20:58Come on.
00:20:59Come on.
00:21:00I know.
00:21:00Why are you sick of my friend?

00:22:20Abdullah, go here for a second.
00:22:23Okay, I'll be right back.
00:22:30Where are you, Dan?
00:22:36I told you I'm gonna get up too quickly.
00:22:38It's 2400 dollars in cash.
00:22:39How did you get this?
00:22:40You see this?
00:22:41This is the most popular game in America.
00:22:44How did you get this?
00:22:46Oh, it's a jailbreak copy from home.
00:22:47It sells for like 70 bucks here.
00:22:48I sell it for 20.
00:22:49I already have another 250 orders for next week.
00:22:52I can't believe what you're doing.
00:22:54I can't believe what you're doing.
00:22:55By the time I go home, I have enough to buy a brand new car just like yours.
00:23:00What the fuck are you doing, Anita?
00:23:01This is not acceptable.
00:23:02What are you talking about?
00:23:03What are you talking about?
00:23:04What the fuck are you doing?
00:23:05This is trash.
00:23:06You know how many people do illegal things here?
00:23:07Yeah, but you're making money out of it.
00:23:08It's a different ballgame.
00:23:09No, it's not.
00:23:10Finally, I have something good going on.
00:23:11Why do you want to ruin this for me?
00:23:12Because the people are doing it for 20?
00:23:13I have enough money for 20.
00:23:14I already have another 250 orders for next week.
00:23:15I can't believe what you're doing.
00:23:16By the time I go home, I have enough to buy a brand new car just like yours.
00:23:17What the fuck are you doing, Anita?
00:23:18This is not acceptable.
00:23:19What are you talking about?
00:23:20What the fuck are you doing with?
00:23:21This is trash.
00:23:22You know how many people do illegal things here?
00:23:23Yeah, but you're making money out of it.
00:23:24It's a different ballgame.
00:23:25No, it's not.
00:23:26Finally, I have something good going on.
00:23:29Why do you want to ruin this for me?
00:23:31Because people take things like this seriously here.
00:23:33Well, you know what I think?
00:23:34I think you're just trying to scare me because you're jealous.
00:23:37This is my chance to prove myself now.
00:23:40I mean, you're going to say successful people break the rules.
00:23:43They break the rules, but not the law.
00:23:45And you are breaking the law.
00:23:46You want to buy a new car?
00:23:48Good.
00:23:49But go and work for it.
00:23:50This is bullshit.
00:23:51Hey, Anita.
00:23:52Come back here.
00:23:53Anita, wait.
00:24:21Hola, it's…

00:24:33I don't go.
00:24:34I looked really hard.
00:24:35I don't know.
00:24:37I looked really loud.
00:24:38I can't smell, mom.
00:24:39I don't know what's going on, Adam.
00:24:40I try young, where水 is.
00:24:42I can feel like.
00:24:43It's limp.
00:24:44It's enough for me to listen again.
00:24:45If you believe in me, I'm prior to,
00:24:46you get up.
00:24:47What you do, man, I'm still doing this,
00:24:48See, like you, I'm the second child in my family, and I have a strong desire to prove
00:25:00myself.
00:25:05My parents want me to be like my brother.
00:25:10They want me to follow in his footsteps, but me?
00:25:17See I've always kind of known that there's something more out there, something different.
00:25:26My parents, they think it's impossible.
00:25:33My brother thinks it's impossible, but Attila believes.
00:25:40He believes in himself, and he also believes in me, and that's powerful.
00:25:48You know, that makes me feel closer to him than to my own brother.
00:25:54So trust me when I say this.
00:25:55He just wants you to be successful, but he wants you to earn it the right way.
00:26:00Not messing around with this stupid shit.
00:26:06Yeah.
00:26:07Put this jacket on.
00:26:08Daniel!

00:28:19What are you taking, Joe?
00:28:23Do you think stealing is not serious?
00:28:25I'm sorry.
00:28:25The storm is nothing now.
00:28:27You've already done it.
00:28:34Since this was committed in the U.S.,
00:28:37she will be subject to all the U.S. laws and regulations
00:28:40that apply to a U.S. citizen.
00:28:44So that means five years in federal prison
00:28:47or paying the $250,000 fine.
00:28:50It's not like she did something terrible.
00:28:51She didn't kill anybody.
00:28:53Are they really going to take you this far?
00:28:55Usually they wouldn't,
00:28:56but it seems they want to make an example
00:28:58out of Anita's case.
00:29:03You sure about this?
00:29:05I'm positive.
00:29:07If you connect me with Tony,
00:29:18I can get money for Attila's sister.
00:29:21You are living in a dream world, my friend.
00:29:23You are thinking like a 10-year-old kid,
00:29:25like a child,
00:29:26and it's not going to happen for you like that.
00:29:28I'm going to put it like this.
00:29:34I could get myself.
00:29:36I'm terrified.
00:29:37You are coming.
00:29:41You are looking.
00:29:43I'm not going.
00:29:44Just being dead.
00:29:45She would love you.
00:29:46I'm not going to happen.
00:29:46She would love you.
00:29:55Yo, O-Doc, call me as soon as you get this message.
00:30:23This is like the third message I left, and we've been calling you all day, dog.
00:30:26Everyone's right here at the party looking for you, dog.
00:30:27Where the fuck you at?
00:30:29Get at me as soon as you get this message, dog.
00:30:31Straight up.
00:30:32I ain't gonna call you again, dog.
00:30:33Get at me ASAP.
00:30:44Yo, get!
00:30:53You looking for that ball?
00:30:57Yeah.
00:30:58I'll just throw it up to your boy.
00:30:59All right, thanks.
00:30:59All right, bro.
00:31:01Hey, old Dan.
00:31:02Yeah.
00:31:03How are your pops?
00:31:04All right.
00:31:07You have a spirit, kid, and I like that.
00:31:10But, you know, there's no such thing in life as something for nothing.
00:31:16Yeah, well, your actions have to reflect something tangible, you know, otherwise it's just a fairytale.
00:31:25You know, I'm going to work with that.
00:31:26Could you hold on a second?
00:31:27Yeah.
00:31:46What's going on, folks?
00:32:16What's up, mi-ho?
00:32:32Yeah?
00:32:37Right back.
00:32:38No way.
00:32:40No way.
00:32:42No way.
00:32:44You're doing a good job.
00:33:03The bigger bags, break this up, and then put this in the shoebox.
00:33:07You have the other bags?
00:33:14No way.
00:33:16What the fuck?
00:33:32Ortega!
00:33:34Hey, fool, where the fuck you at?
00:33:40Hey, Carlos! Carlos!
00:33:42Hey, fool, this is his shit, fool.
00:33:46So there, fool.
00:33:54Sorry about the inconvenience.
00:33:56Ask him where he's at, dog!
00:33:58What the fuck happened here?
00:34:00What the fuck, bitch?
00:34:02Stay down!
00:34:03So, what you were saying?
00:34:06Whatever it takes.
00:34:08Tony, I don't care. Whatever it takes.
00:34:11Then...
00:34:13I shall meet you, my friend.
00:34:17I shall meet you, my friend.
00:34:19How far are you willing to go to bail your sister out?
00:34:33Once again, the caterpillar faces the decision.
00:34:49To move or not to move the branch.
00:34:53This time, she chooses to go the long way.
00:35:01Seeing the branch unmoved, the kitten falls back into sleep.
00:35:07Along slithers the hungry snake, but the mother's fangs and sharp claws keep the kitten safe.
00:35:19Noticing the caterpillar and learning of her dream, the snake promises a shortcut if she willingly cooperates.
00:35:35At first, the caterpillar worries.
00:35:45Then her ambition gives way.
00:35:47To justify the deed and lure the kitten away.
00:35:53The blood on her hands bothers her not.
00:36:07A worthy sacrifice, she thinks.
00:36:10Off she goes to spin herself into her glorious dream.
00:36:15At long last, she found what she had been looking for.
00:36:27The flower of dreams.
00:36:29But the path she embarked on to get there was not pure.
00:36:35And it led to her worst nightmare.
00:36:49She became an ugly moth.
00:37:05To be able to, the bird's night.
00:37:27To be able to escape, she was in the back of the car.
00:37:33This song is dedicated to my homie and that gangsta lean.
00:38:03Why'd you have to go so soon?
00:38:13Seems like yesterday we were hanging around the hood.
00:38:22Now I'm gonna keep your memory alive like a homie should.
00:38:31Man, rest in peace, G. Can't believe he's gone, G.
00:38:36Some bullshit.
00:38:36Man, rest in peace.
00:39:06Why is there a bed in our house?
00:39:18I don't know.
00:39:20But I can tell you this.
00:39:22We're gonna fix it.
00:39:23Because my teacher said, anything I want to do, I can do it.
00:39:31But maybe he's lying.
00:39:32He's not.
00:39:33You see that out there, Angel?
00:39:42I want to go up there.
00:39:44I want to go, too.
00:39:46Boo-boo.
00:39:46I want you to do it.
00:40:02I'm glad you had a computer.
00:40:04I was glad that I had a computer.
00:40:07It was a better computer anyways, but, uh, you know, there was...
00:40:10Hey, the boss back here.
00:40:19Yeah, but he's in a meeting. Don't bother me.
00:40:25It's beating time.
00:40:26You're very ambitious, and I like that.
00:40:36But too much ambition clouds the mind.
00:40:56When life is thrown into chaos,
00:41:18the brain tends to focus so much on finding a solution
00:41:26that it fails to consider the potential consequences.
00:41:34And Lord knows,
00:41:37there are always consequences.
00:41:48Once the rat is free
00:41:56and his heart is calm,
00:42:02would he still remember the deal?
00:42:03No.
00:42:05So,
00:42:25so,
00:42:31Look, we understand the risk, and we will execute.
00:42:46Show me.
00:42:47Salve.
00:42:48What?
00:42:49On three, ready?
00:43:00Three.
00:43:01Two.
00:43:02Cut the bullshit, Matt.
00:43:03One.
00:43:04Don't fucking underestimate us, Tony.
00:43:07We are here to do business, do you understand?
00:43:21You guys are too tight, man.
00:43:34You need to relax.
00:43:36Let's go.
00:43:37Danielle, Angel, you're out for tacos?
00:43:42Hell yeah.
00:43:43Come on, Angel, let's go.
00:43:45I'm in the hotel room.

00:43:50We're out for tacos.
00:43:51Hell yeah.
00:43:52Come on, Angel.
00:43:54Let's go.
00:43:55No, I hope you want to stay.
00:43:56I'm just not leaving.
00:43:57Okay.
00:43:58Hell yeah.
00:44:00Come on, Angel, let's go.
00:44:02I'm not hoping I want to stay.
00:44:04I'm still not hoping.
00:44:06Okay.
00:44:28If we go through this, we'll be there in five minutes.
00:44:38Otherwise, it's gonna take us an extra 15 minutes.
00:44:43Your call.
00:44:49Let's just get this over with.
00:44:58Do you want to eat here? Do you want to come home?
00:45:26Let's go.
00:45:32For here.
00:45:56Okay, Sean, I think we are here.
00:46:02I'm gonna go in.
00:46:04I'll leave you to the gun.
00:46:06I don't think we need this.
00:46:08Take this.
00:46:10Hey.
00:46:12Ten minutes, and I'm coming in.
00:46:14Okay, sounds good.
00:46:16I'll see you soon.
00:46:17Good luck.
00:46:18Thanks, man.
00:46:20Okay.

00:54:16You smell that blood?
00:54:21Hey!
00:54:23You feel like a man now.
00:54:25Oh, well.
00:54:54Gentlemen, you survived.

00:56:03What's the rush?
00:56:06I thought maybe we'd celebrate first.

00:56:13What do you mean?
00:56:14Don't fuck with us.

01:12:09Take me.
01:12:10Goodbye, I'm sure.
01:12:10Har you, okay?
01:12:11The moon, the first step to the stars.
01:12:37But how to get there when born with a scar?
01:12:46A coincidence, or luck, or perhaps destiny.
01:12:54If kept pondering, there goes opportunity to bloom into the mighty eye, a fierce rocket
01:13:02ship, aiming for the stars.
01:13:09If allowed, the fuel can burn low.
01:13:18The journey is lengthy and far.
01:13:22Call it a fairy tale, or reality.
01:13:27You decide.
01:13:29After xvii, the lady will drive.
01:13:32The sea of the stars.
01:13:33The sea of the stars.
01:13:38The sea of the stars!
01:13:41The sea of the stars.
01:17:45We grew up in a war-torn country.
01:17:47We were always playing with little tanks, like you're pretending you're armies.
01:17:51And then before you know it, like you hear and you turn left and a whole bunch of real tanks.
01:17:5650, 60 of them are actually on the street next to you and going into the war.
01:18:01And then you hear the sirens going on and you hear the sirens going on and you see her parents are panicking.
01:18:04Hey, come to the house, come inside, hurry, hurry, hurry.
01:18:0710 seconds later, there's like a big explosion happens like two miles from you, like boom.
01:18:12You don't know what it is.
01:18:13I remember I found salvation in watching movies.
01:18:16I went to my parents and I said, you know that I'm going to be a filmmaker.
01:18:19You know, mom, I'm going to do this and that action movie and thriller and crime and comedies and everything.
01:18:24And they were just like looking at me and what's wrong with this kid?
01:18:27You know, you don't think about filmmaking because it's impossible.
01:18:31People just didn't have ambition, no ambition, you know, during war.
01:18:34Everybody just wanted to survive.
01:18:36For me to make movies, I understood that I have to find a way to come to the United States of America.
01:18:44But how can I get to the States?
01:18:46My family has no money.
01:18:48We don't have any relatives living in the States.
01:18:50And during the war, the people of my country burned down the U.S. embassy.
01:18:55How to go to America, it's impossible, you know.
01:19:03One day I learned that U.S. universities are offering full scholarship for prospective student athletes.
01:19:11So I understood.
01:19:12For me to become a filmmaker, I first had to become an athlete.
01:19:17The biggest race of my life.
01:19:19And this is the chance for me to run a fast time to get the attention from America.
01:19:25But two weeks before my race, I completely tore my ligaments.
01:19:29I remember the doctor looking at my ankle.
01:19:31And I was like, in two weeks I have to run.
01:19:33And he looks at me.
01:19:34He said, this guy is crazy.
01:19:35You're not going to run.
01:19:36He says, if you can walk within two months, you should consider yourself lucky.
01:19:42That night I go home.
01:19:43I place my ankle in 90 degrees and I press my ankle against the wall.
01:19:49And I start talking to my ankle.
01:19:51You know, I'm talking to my ankle.
01:19:52I want to become friends with my ankle.
01:19:54You know, my life depends on this.
01:19:55I want to convince my ankle that we can do it.
01:19:58Two, three days later, I go and I run for one hour.
01:20:01After that, I couldn't walk the whole day.
01:20:03I go back home and I ice it, massage it.
01:20:05Fourteen days after my injury, I ran a race.
01:20:12I came first place.
01:20:14I ran a personal record.
01:20:17And thanks to that race, I got a scholarship.
01:20:20I came to America without speaking any English and without knowing anybody.
01:20:29If I say that I need $10 million to make a movie, that it's just an excuse.
01:20:34I should be able to create something just relying on my creativity and willpower.
01:20:39David.
01:20:40How's it going, man?
01:20:40Looking good, man.
01:20:41Yeah, thanks, thanks.
01:20:42Well, you know, I was looking for opportunities, how to utilize the resources that I have available.
01:20:48And I was very lucky when I met David, because not only does he have everything, but he's also a police officer.
01:20:56LAPD, put your hands up where we can see them.
01:20:59Where's your permit?
01:21:00That's what I like to ask.
01:21:01Right.
01:21:03You got a permit to be out here with the camera?
01:21:05Look at this face, man.
01:21:06I can't do this.
01:21:07This is amazing, man.
01:21:08Thanks, David.
01:21:09The actors in the movie, they grew up in very harsh circumstances.
01:21:14I was like a soldier, you know, in a war.
01:21:16I dreamed about it, you know, getting shot, big old shootout with people.
01:21:20I became a gang member, like, at 13 years old.
01:21:22I got incarcerated at 13 years old, and it's not because I wanted to.
01:21:26I think it's because I was kind of limited of what I could really be.
01:21:30All the effort, the details, the raw emotions we put into this film, like we shot in East L.A.
01:21:37I heard it.
01:21:38Remember this?
01:21:39I remember this.
01:21:40We spent lots of times in a family that lives in a neighborhood where your only option to be safe is to join the gang.
01:21:50We shot in their house.
01:21:51This is Angel.
01:21:54He's the big star of the film, right?
01:21:56Remember?
01:21:57Yeah, like, did amazing work.
01:21:59Sarah.
01:22:00Hi.
01:22:00She's the boss of the house.
01:22:01She helped tremendously.
01:22:03Jacob.
01:22:04He's a little bit shy, but, you know, once he warms up, he's amazing.
01:22:07And Precious.
01:22:08Beautiful.
01:22:09She's in a classroom scene, and she did so well.
01:22:11They invited me to film in their house.
01:22:13They went above and beyond to help me to make a movie.
01:22:17There's, like, 20 people living in one house.
01:22:18There are, like, gunshots outside, car chase, the helicopter, the police chase.
01:22:22But inside is so warm, such a family atmosphere.
01:22:26It really reminded me of a bond that I had with my neighbors during the war.
01:22:31I noticed how people reacted to you, you know, and they seemed genuinely pleased, you know, with your presence and accepted you.
01:22:38And I think it's because of who you are.
01:22:40Awesome.
01:22:40Oh, my God.
01:22:41Thank you guys for this opportunity.
01:22:43Why did we just see you?
01:22:44See you guys.
01:22:45Bye.
01:22:45See ya.
01:22:46It was a pleasure.
01:22:48See you soon, okay?
01:22:48It was you, bro.
01:22:49Like, you did it.
01:22:50You get what I'm saying?
01:22:51Like, that's a huge accomplishment, bro.
01:22:54I'm an actor, but striving to be a filmmaker, I could do nothing but think of you as an inspiration, you know, because you did it, bro.
01:23:01When I decided to make this movie, I wanted to create such a visual experience that can compete against studio-level movies.
01:23:12And I want to win.
01:23:18There's a lot of men.
01:23:22You may have to be in.
01:23:23And you may have to be a thousand, babble.
01:23:25I love that, too.
01:23:27You do have to be a person who is a man.
01:23:29I'd love to do that.
01:23:30And удар lists.
01:23:32You're misc zn Trading.
01:23:33Some of it are já.

01:23:36I'm the one being a prisoner.
01:23:36Where are many people talking to you?
01:23:37And when they're in.
01:23:38I'm here to be married.
01:23:39And you may be a man.
01:23:39You know, I'm good.
