00:00We're certainly counting down the days to Christmas now, and people will more than likely
00:07have one eye on the big day itself. Presents, Christmas dinner, party games, everyone celebrates
00:12the big day in their own way, and we all look forward to different parts. So I'm speaking
00:16to people in the centre of Cardiff about what's the most important thing for them on the big
00:21day of Christmas itself.
00:22I love going to church. It's a big thing for me, keeping the Christmas tradition, valuing
00:29my faith, and I think it's a real reflection day for me personally. And then, now I've
00:34moved out of home to Cardiff, going back to home and seeing all the family is such a special
00:39moment.
00:40I do work once a year, once a year, I do celebrate Christmas every year with family and friends
00:46and that, but mostly now with, you know, home with family or something, you know, Christmas
00:51time is with family and all that. Friends around, you can see friends every day, but family
00:58is more important on Christmas day, you know, sharing the presents and receiving gifts off
01:04everybody, you know, their family. And if you've got to go to family, that's what Christmas
01:09is all about, you know, and that's why I can't wait for Christmas to come along. As soon as
01:14you see family, it's Christmas day, birthdays, Christmas, birthdays, Christmas and things like
01:20that, but Christmas is mainly for family.
01:23So I think for me, Christmas Eve is kind of a really special time. I've got a six year
01:28old son. So kind of, yeah, kind of go into bed Christmas Eve with kind of that excitement
01:32that Santa is coming in the middle of the night and he needs to get to bed in time. That's,
01:39yeah, that's kind of a really special moment. And then I'm normally the kind of person that
01:43leaves the wrap and the presents to the last minute. So normally he goes to bed and then
01:46wrap the presents, leave them kind of under the tree then. And then, yeah, the excitement,
01:51kind of the shouts in the morning of Santa's come, Santa's come. That's yeah, that's, that's
01:55a special moment. Yeah, probably the first thing Christmas morning. I'm normally woken up early for
02:01that. I feel more Christmasy now I'm in Cardiff, which is a bit weird. I'm from Swindon and Swindon
02:07doesn't have too much like Christmas lights and stuff, but coming into the city centre, there's like
02:11Christmas stools over there. I'm feeling quite Christmasy and my mum's going to come down and visit for the
02:15weekend. We're going to go to some of the markets. She'll do more shopping than I will. And so yeah,
02:20I'm feeling really Christmasy this year actually. And I think it's quite a joyful season and I really
02:25enjoy that. You know, it's a small meal. It's only two of us in the family, you know, but you know,
02:31we have a small dinner together, a drink and look at, look at things like past, past friends and all that
02:39as well. You think of them as well, the loved ones that you've lost over Christmas and think, you know,
02:46I'm at rest and things like that. And that's another thing, Christmas is looking at things that
02:53people have gone on, friends and families have gone on in the past.
