Numerous Democratic lawmakers are speaking out about the rise in deaths among ICE detainees.

On Friday, Nov. 21, about 43 Democratic lawmakers sent a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem regarding the deaths of at least 25 people this year while in ICE detention. Some of the signees include Maxine Waters, Jasmine Crockett, and Rashida Tlaib.
