00:00This is Snake Island.
00:02It's an island infested with thousands of the world's deadliest snakes.
00:07And this is the King Cobra.
00:08One bite from this guy and you are dead.
00:10There is no antivenom.
00:12And over the next three days, I'm going to be travelling to the very centre of this island.
00:22Oh yeah, there's snakes hanging above us.
00:24Oh!
00:25Oh my god!
00:27What are you doing?
00:28No!
00:29This is Diaz, our snake expert, who will be helping us survive our three-day trek to the centre of this island.
00:35Oh, it bite me now.
00:37And...
00:41Okay guys, see you later. Try not to die.
00:45Well now we're screwed.
00:47As we headed towards the first checkpoint, it didn't take us long to encounter a snake.
00:51Should I catch it? Because this snake passed.
00:53You ready?
00:54Okay, I'm ready.
00:56Oh, it bite me!
00:57You got bit!
00:58Uh oh!
00:59It looks like a grid mamba!
01:00Is this guy venomous?
01:01I'm holding a wild snake!
01:02Oh my god!
01:03Oh my god! You take it! You take it!
01:04This snake is mildly venomous, but it's one of the least dangerous on an island home to over 120 species.
01:10Many of which are lethal.
01:12Things are gonna get a whole lot more dangerous and scary the further we get into this island.
01:17So, you're probably wondering why we're trying to get to the centre of this incredibly deadly island.
01:22Well, these guys are why.
01:23This is called a blood python.
01:25People are killing and hunting these guys so much that they could become an endangered species.
01:29Soon also they could be a sting.
01:31Diaz, as a snake conservationist, takes his trek to the centre of the island in order to release blood pythons into the perfect environment for their survival.
01:39And we're joining him.
01:40This is probably gonna be the craziest most dangerous adventure you've ever seen on YouTube.
01:44So, you guys ready? On, on, on, on three, two, one. On three, two, three, two, one. For the blood pythons! Let's go!
01:54Before we can make it to the centre of the island, we have a number of checkpoints along the way.
01:58And as we headed towards base camp, it wasn't long until we found a snake.
02:03You found one already?
02:05Reticulated python.
02:06These are the guys that can grow up to like 13 meters?
02:09He wanted to show us just how deadly this snake was.
02:12Oh! That's what I mean.
02:15Okay.
02:16Oh!
02:17Oh God, oh God.
02:18Yeah, you moved that way.
02:19Okay, okay.
02:21Look at that, guys.
02:23That is the face of just terrifying nightmares right there.
02:27You do not want to get bit by that.
02:29He's looking at the camera.
02:32Woo!
02:33Diaz is gonna try and catch it by the head so that it can't bite.
02:36And then I guess he's gonna show me the power of these things.
02:39Yeah, okay, okay, sick.
02:41Bro, okay.
02:42I'm kinda scared.
02:43Hold the head.
02:44Are you sure?
02:45I'm sure.
02:46Just hold the head.
02:47Man, I'm not happy about this.
02:48Yeah.
02:49Nice, man.
02:50Let him rap on you.
02:51No.
02:52Holy crap.
02:54Okay, there's a bit of power there, alright.
02:56This is insane.
02:58A reticulated python and it's about to try and squeeze my arm.
03:02Look at my veins.
03:03Oh my god, it's starting to squeeze now.
03:04Yeah.
03:05It's squeeze.
03:06Okay, yeah, he's squeezing right now.
03:07You feel it, right?
03:08He's squeezing.
03:09Look at my vein.
03:10He's popping here.
03:11We gotta let this guy go, Diaz.
03:12Goodbye, fella.
03:13Wow.
03:14Wow.
03:15Man.
03:16This is the most intense video I've ever done.
03:18Jesus.
03:19My heart is pounding.
03:21Based on our progress so far.
03:25How long is it gonna take us?
03:27I think it's just around 30 kilometers.
03:30At least you have walking sticks now, eh?
03:32We continued through the jungle and after hours of walking.
03:35We finally found a spot that's a little bit more open that we're gonna try and build a base camp in.
03:38I have no idea how to build this kind of stuff so Diaz is gonna have to show us the way right now.
03:46This is looking amazing.
03:49What would be the biggest snake in here?
03:51Reticulated pythons.
03:52Oh, would they be able to eat someone?
03:53Definitely, man.
03:54Is there a way we can protect against that or just we just pray?
03:58Well, I'll try my best.
04:00With base camp built, food was the next priority.
04:03Diaz, what's a common food that we can get around here?
04:05There is a mud crab here, clams.
04:07We're in mud crab area.
04:08What do you do?
04:09Do you just go from below?
04:10Yeah.
04:11No problem.
04:12You found something?
04:13No.
04:14Okay.
04:15I don't think I...
04:16I think I lost it.
04:17Oh, I did get a clam.
04:19I got a clam.
04:20Nice.
04:21It feels so weird to be pulling clams out of just dirt.
04:24This is our clam pile.
04:25Now, let's see.
04:26Can we get mud crab?
04:27I found something.
04:28Keep this out.
04:30That is a crab in the mud.
04:32Can we find more?
04:33Dinner.
04:34You hungry?
04:35I'm hungry, man.
04:36Good, right?
04:37Yeah.
04:38I can taste kind of the mud though.
04:39Well, it came from the mud.
04:40Yeah.
04:41Move.
04:42What are the risks of actually having a snake come into our camp at night?
04:55Is that possible?
04:56100% possible, man.
04:57Rediculated python, they can smell us from far away.
05:00Before heading to bed, we decided to look around camp.
05:03I think your guys' hammocks are good.
05:04And then Diaz saw something.
05:06Oh, my gosh.
05:07What?
05:08This is a darkfoot cat snake.
05:10Wait, are you...
05:11You really think I should hold it?
05:12Yeah.
05:13Is he venomous?
05:14No.
05:15This snake is not venomous.
05:16But with it being so close to camp, there could be many more that are.
05:19This guy was found pretty much just two meters from the boys' hammocks.
05:23If there's one of them, then there could be a lot more, right?
05:25Could be a lot more.
05:26I mean, they're so small, these guys could be anywhere.
05:28You stay away from our camp and let us sleep in peace tonight.
05:32That's the way to our camp.
05:34Go the other way.
05:35First an eye on Snake Island.
05:36Let's go.
05:38But my confidence would not last long, as this video did not go to plan.
05:42And we had no idea just how dangerous this journey was about to be.
05:46Get out of there, Diaz.
05:47Get out of there.
05:48Good morning.
05:49How are you feeling?
05:50I'm not good.
05:51You're sweating buckets as well.
05:54We left base camp and headed towards the second checkpoint.
05:57A boat Diaz had stored up ahead.
05:59Diaz, how far is this boat that you stashed?
06:01Still like 38 kilometers left.
06:03He's joking, surely.
06:04Yeah, it's gotta be closer, right?
06:06This is the way.
06:07But in order to get to its last known location, we first had to cross a lake heavily infested
06:13with snakes.
06:14So we have to cross this river?
06:16Yeah.
06:17Yeah.
06:18We do?
06:19We do.
06:20On this island, the snakes even live and hide in the water.
06:23Is this gonna be dangerous?
06:25Well, it's unpredictable, man.
06:29That looks deep.
06:30Yeah, that is deep.
06:32I don't feel comfortable getting across this right now.
06:35I've got the blood pythons.
06:37You be gentle with that, lad.
06:38In order to give the blood pythons the best chance of survival, we had to cross the river.
06:48I'm in.
06:49Careful.
06:50Watch out.
06:51And this is also a great time to tell you about today's video sponsor, Ground News.
06:55Boys, can you please hurry up?
06:56Like, this is your lives on the line there.
07:00Ground News is a news comparison platform that compiles articles from every source reporting on a story and allows you to see it in a very unbiased way.
07:09Hurry up, please.
07:12Oh, no.
07:13Like this recent story from Thailand, it looks like a giant python has eaten a human.
07:17And how Ground News works is it shows you all the articles written about the same story and summarizes them by highlighting the facts and showing you the different viewpoints reporting on it.
07:26I'm stepping something.
07:27Watch out.
07:28Is there something there?
07:29Let me check.
07:30Let me check.
07:31Yes, I'm like sinking right now.
07:33Hold on.
07:34Hold on.
07:35Hold on.
07:36I'm getting out.
07:37So in the case of the giant python, we can very quickly see that 12 news sources have written about it and only 20% of them score high for being a factual news source.
07:45So what is the truth of this story?
07:46And is it as real as this?
07:48Oh my god.
07:49It's already wrapping around me.
07:51I'm trying.
07:52I'm trying.
07:53I'm trying.
07:54Guys, it's actually properly constricting you now.
07:56I can't get rid of it.
07:57I can't get rid of it.
07:58I can't get rid of it.
07:59Got it.
08:00Got it?
08:01No.
08:02I don't have it.
08:03It matters.
08:04It's actually constricting it.
08:05Okay, Matt.
08:06Yeah, yeah.
08:07Just throw it.
08:08Can you help me on the legs better?
08:09And we can see it likely wasn't a human that the snake ate.
08:12That's just for sensationalism, but it may have been a dog.
08:15Tail.
08:16The tail.
08:17The back end of the tail.
08:18Oh my god.
08:19Oh my god.
08:20There we go.
08:21I got it.
08:22I got it.
08:23I got it.
08:24So if you're like me and you want to understand your news sources more, then go to ground.news
08:39forward slash DT or scan the QR code to subscribe because Ground News are giving you guys 40%
08:44off.
08:45That is literally in my mouth.
08:47I didn't expect a snake that size.
08:49I think that is the biggest snake we've seen so far on this entire trip.
08:52They're going to release a snake further down the river, away from our trail because we
08:55do not want that thing backing up on us.
08:57Oh, I can see him.
08:58He's going.
08:59He's going the other way.
09:00Bro, terrifying.
09:01Let's get out of here, man.
09:02Well, we are very lucky.
09:03It's really just hit home like how dangerous this entire thing actually is.
09:07That was the wildest ad integration we have ever done.
09:11So subscribe now using the link ground.news forward slash DT to get a better understanding
09:16of today's stories.
09:17Thank you Ground News for sponsoring this video.
09:19And now we need to get to Diaz's boat.
09:22But that was about to prove a big problem.
09:24Wait, so we've lost the path here, is that what you're saying?
09:26Yeah, because of the float a few days before.
09:28So do you know where the boat is, or have we lost it?
09:31Well...
09:32Diaz had lost the boat.
09:34Uh...
09:35So the terrain is like completely changed because there's been a flood, and Diaz has lost the
09:40trail that he used to find his boat.
09:42Without Diaz's boat, we were screwed.
09:44And things are only going to get a lot worse.
09:47Is that it?
09:48That's thunder.
09:49That's thunder?
09:50Yeah.
09:51Is there going to be a storm?
09:53It's at peace.
09:55Sorry, bro.
09:58Bro, how hard is it to traverse this place?
10:03This is horrendous!
10:05Everywhere is completely caked in mud, and kind of spiky things just...
10:11We continued blindly in this new area, not knowing if we were going in the right direction.
10:18Hating my life right now.
10:20Hating it.
10:21And then finally...
10:22Oh my god!
10:23There's a boat right there!
10:24That's my boat.
10:25Let's see.
10:26That looks sick!
10:27Look at this!
10:28There's the boat!
10:29We found the boat!
10:30This is the transport I've been waiting for.
10:32We've got about four hours left of light.
10:34Let's just send this all the way up the river, get as far as we can, and get to the next checkpoint.
10:39First of all, I need to...
10:40Okay.
10:41Oh, whoa!
10:42Let's go!
10:43Let's make some noise, Diaz!
10:44Woohoo!
10:45This... is beautiful!
10:49This is crazy!
10:50We're about to make up so much speed right now!
10:52Diaz's boat will get us to the third checkpoint a lot faster.
10:56How far to the checkpoint now?
10:58About two hours, man!
11:00He knew all the shortcuts along the river.
11:02Now I feel like we're gonna get somewhere!
11:04This is sick!
11:05We're about to go down deeper into like a way smaller river here.
11:09We are in pig snake territory right now.
11:11But then, there was a problem.
11:13What's happening?
11:15Yeah, what's happening to you?
11:17No, it's too shallow now.
11:20The shortcut was blocked.
11:22Shortcut isn't gonna work.
11:24Yeah, we will move to the other area.
11:26Without the shortcut, we were forced to make a detour.
11:30And that could be bad news.
11:32The major thing that we're probably gonna have to contend with now are water snakes.
11:36There's way more venomous water snakes than there are normal snakes.
11:39Making our way into a little bit more.
11:41Bro, this is swamp territory again, and I don't like swamp territory.
11:45I feel like things are about to get interesting, and by interesting, I mean scary.
11:56Okay.
11:57It's quite eerie and freaky right now.
12:00The detour on Diaz's boat took us late into the night.
12:03It actually feels like we're very isolated.
12:05And if there's as many snakes as there are insects, this is gonna be interesting.
12:10I thought we'd be safe from snakes at night, but it turns out I was wrong.
12:14Some species, they are active at night.
12:16They come out at night.
12:17Some nocturnal species?
12:18Yeah.
12:19Okay.
12:20Most snakes are highly active at night.
12:24You'll find snakes at the edges of the river.
12:26Yeah.
12:27On the river bank.
12:28Sometimes they are above the water too.
12:29Swimming towards you, and then boom.
12:31And we have no choice but to go down this river.
12:33Yeah, are you sure this is the right way?
12:35Yes.
12:36This feels a little precarious right now.
12:39Going down this river is like weird and freaky.
12:41There's so many weird noises.
12:43What the hell was that?
12:46But then Diaz saw something.
12:48What's that?
12:49What's that?
12:50One in the tree?
12:51Yeah.
12:52Oh yeah.
12:53Oh no, I don't like ones in the trees.
12:55He had something to show us.
12:56Diaz, I'm slowly going right into the snake.
12:59Okay, all right.
13:00Be careful once.
13:01Yeah.
13:02I'm slowly edging into it.
13:04You got it?
13:05Yeah.
13:06How dangerous this was.
13:07Is this venomous?
13:08Should I really be holding it?
13:09Meadly, but it's okay.
13:11Okay.
13:12While this snake is venomous, it's not deadly.
13:15When they want to inject their venom, they bite and they chew on you.
13:18Okay, right.
13:19Well, I'm not letting this guy bite me then.
13:21But even a single bite would send me to hospital, ruining this trip and my chances of making it to the center of this island.
13:27I think I'm holding it weirdly.
13:28I don't...
13:29It's like the way it's packing up.
13:30It's ready to bite now.
13:31Oh, Christ.
13:32Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
13:33Don't let it be this way.
13:34All right.
13:35It's mine.
13:38I like this guy.
13:39This guy's cool.
13:40A snake like this now, I feel like I'm getting a bit more used to, you know?
13:43However, I would not really still like to be bit by anything.
13:46I don't mind.
13:47That's so weird.
13:49Okay, we're going to release this little guy.
13:51It's kind of a beautiful moment actually releasing his snake.
13:54Definitely.
13:55Diaz forcing me to hold his snake.
13:56was a lesson.
13:57Yesterday was probably the first time I've ever held a wild snake in my life.
14:01Really?
14:02Yeah.
14:03Well, clearly.
14:04I'm from Ireland.
14:05Ain't no snakes.
14:06And I was going to need to handle a lot more snakes if we had any chance of surviving this journey.
14:11If you know how to handle it, they will chill on me.
14:15Sounds like I don't know how to handle anything.
14:18Man, you are a beginner.
14:20That's normal, you know?
14:22Yes.
14:23Yes.
14:24You just come to know the right guy, you know, with me.
14:26And then Diaz had a plan.
14:28We're going to deliver him out.
14:30Okay.
14:31I had to find some snake.
14:32Okay.
14:33We catch him.
14:34He thought the only way for us to survive this journey was to head first into a nest of snakes.
14:39We call it night herping cruising?
14:43Okay.
14:44No, no.
14:45Night cruising.
14:46Yeah.
14:47Night cruising herping, we call it.
14:48A night cruise.
14:49Let's see.
14:50Let's see what happens.
14:52We're expecting a lot of snakes right now.
14:55Whoa.
14:56Okay.
14:57Tiny little guy.
14:58Tiny little snake right up here.
15:00Yoink.
15:01Honestly, this guy feels like a toy.
15:02He just feels like a little rubber thing, but has a little mind of its own.
15:05Because it's actually real.
15:06So is this one venomous?
15:08Last time my friend get bit by this and I don't see him anymore.
15:11Really?
15:12Seriously?
15:13Yeah, because he moved to another city.
15:14Holy shit.
15:15So it's not venomous, is it?
15:17It's not venomous.
15:18Give it to Matt.
15:19All right, Matt.
15:20You ready?
15:21Sure.
15:22Okay, actually.
15:23I'm going to put it away though, once it's gone.
15:24Oh!
15:25It's a kid swim.
15:26Nice.
15:27I actually caught it.
15:28That's kind of cool.
15:29Well done, Matt.
15:30That's your first time touching one.
15:31That's cool.
15:32See you later.
15:36Nice.
15:37Cool.
15:38We're seeing a snake.
15:39Woah!
15:40Woah!
15:41Woah!
15:42Let him bite you, let him bite you.
15:44Why would I let him bite me?
15:45Let him bite you.
15:46That's okay, man.
15:47There, there, there, there.
15:50Oh my god, I got bit by my first snake.
15:53And did it hurt?
15:54No.
15:55So why did you scream like a cow?
15:57Because it bit me.
15:58If he hasn't just pulled a frog, I don't know.
15:59It's not poisonous, is it?
16:00I hope not.
16:01Oh, look at that.
16:02Oh!
16:03Oh, he's so cute.
16:04Wow.
16:05He's like the, he's like the perfect kind of frog.
16:06Oh, he's gone.
16:07Wow.
16:08There's a snake on my crotch.
16:09I don't know how this happened.
16:10Matt, Matt, Matt, you gotta grab the snake.
16:11What?
16:12Yeah, Matt, Matt, Matt, come on.
16:13He doesn't want me, see?
16:14He literally doesn't want me.
16:15Okay, no, you need to grab it and you need to not scream like a little girl.
16:16Okay, you ready?
16:17Oh my god.
16:18Okay, you ready?
16:19Oh my god.
16:20Okay, you ready?
16:21He's wriggling.
16:22Just pass me the camera somehow.
16:23Sorry, I screamed like a little girl.
16:24I'm sorry.
16:25Ah!
16:26Ah!
16:27Sorry.
16:28Just put it back, Matt.
16:29Ah!
16:30Ah!
16:31Ah!
16:32Ah!
16:33Ah!
16:34Ah!
16:35Ah!
16:36Ah!
16:37Ah!
16:38Ah!
16:39Ah!
16:40Ah!
16:41Ah!
16:42Ah!
16:43Ah!
16:44Ah!
16:45Ah!
16:46Ah!
16:47Ah!
16:48Ah!
16:49Ah!
16:50Ah!
16:51Ah!
16:52Ah!
16:53Ah!
16:54That's okay.
16:55005 on that snake.
16:56That's okay.
16:57Can you touch it like a like a below of the mouth like like?
16:59Uh,
17:00Ah!
17:01You're serious?
17:02Yeah.
17:03Belelelelelekle.
17:06Ah!
17:08It's so hard.
17:09You're a b*********d
17:11You're a b*********d
17:12I don't get him off.
17:13Ah!
17:14It's still going.
17:15When is he gonna stop?
17:16Ah!
17:17What is he gonna stop?
17:19Diaz! Diaz! What do I have to do?
17:24Alright, your turn, Matt. You ready?
17:26Absolutely not.
17:28Put him back, Dara the drama queen.
17:31You try getting bit by a snake, Matt.
17:33I don't want to try getting bit by a snake.
17:35I was just out on my crotch.
17:37What the hell? Did you throw that on me?
17:39No. You know, you see me when I'm... It's just like... No.
17:44After hours of handling snakes, we started to enjoy the night cruise.
17:48There's something very peaceful about just cruising down a river at night.
17:52But even though we were having fun, transporting these bloodpipers to the center of this island meant we were not safe.
17:58It's peaceful until the king cobra comes towards you.
18:01Wait, do you find king cobras on the river?
18:03Yeah, on the river, yes.
18:04Oh, I didn't know that.
18:05King cobras are the largest venomous snake in the world, and one bite is instant death.
18:10And on the way to the center of this island, we would have to pass through their territory.
18:15Can anyone speak Parseltongue?
18:17Say it serious.
18:20I said, hey lot, King Coby, come out now, like.
18:23With our moods still high, me and Matt made a bet.
18:26If we ever come across a king cobra, you have to at least touch it.
18:30But we had no idea just how reckless this would turn out to be.
18:33Get out of there.
18:34I touch a king cobra, you touch a king cobra.
18:36Let's go.
18:37What do you mean, let's go? That's not a good idea.
18:39Well, I mean, it's possible without dying, obviously, right?
18:42I've never done it.
18:43You've never...
18:44Well, I'm obviously not doing it.
18:45Let's go, let's go, let's go, man.
18:46Boy in Indonesia dies after touching a king cobra, and it eats him.
18:50You touch it, and I'll touch it.
18:53I'm sweating again now.
18:55Why are we doing this?
18:56This is putting you to the test now.
18:58I'll touch king cobra.
18:59After over 12 hours stuck on Diaz's boat, we finally made it to the third checkpoint.
19:06This is crazy, Diaz.
19:07This looks cool.
19:09Did you build this yourself?
19:11This one?
19:12Yeah.
19:13No, it's built by my relatives.
19:15Oh.
19:16This is really cool.
19:17Yeah, this is more like it.
19:18This is perfect.
19:19So what?
19:20Yeah, tell me again.
19:21Who the hell built this?
19:23My relatives.
19:24Okay.
19:25So, one of Diaz's relatives have built this as well, all this way in.
19:29And what?
19:30Yeah, we just...
19:31Wait, we're going to set up hammocks, or we just sleep across it?
19:32We just sleep across it.
19:33Yeah.
19:34Yeah, it's fine.
19:35Yeah.
19:36Brilliant, bro.
19:37And you know what?
19:38But before we headed inside, Diaz had something to tell us about himself and his relatives.
19:41We have a tradition to hunt the head.
19:46Head hunter.
19:47Head of what?
19:48Head hunter of a human.
19:50Really?
19:51So you can imagine like when we arrive on someone's house like this, and they are ready
19:57to cut your head directly, immediately.
20:00Who?
20:01I'm so confused, man.
20:03They would be.
20:04They would be.
20:05They would be.
20:06They would be ready to cut your head.
20:07And is this the head of like a rival?
20:09Human.
20:10But is it like a rival tribe or where do they find?
20:13Rival tribe and then also definitely from another tribe.
20:17Oh my God.
20:18Is this a normal thing in Borneo now?
20:20There is a lot of reason they do cut the head.
20:24When the children want to get adult, they need to cut someone's head.
20:29It's been like the way of them to get adult and become a man.
20:34Oh my God, we'd be a good prize right now.
20:37No, no, no.
20:39My great grandpa was a headhunter too.
20:43This video is just getting wilder and wilder.
20:46I don't know if I'm going to be able to sleep tonight.
20:48I thought we were about to meet our end and our heads were about to be...
20:51Yeah.
20:52Maybe in the end of the trip.
20:54We had no idea if we could trust Diaz anymore.
20:57With no contact to the outside world, we were extremely vulnerable.
21:00But as we were about to discover, Diaz wasn't our only concern.
21:04You guys hear that?
21:05Okay.
21:07I'm serious.
21:08That's the adult male around that.
21:11Should we take a look outside?
21:13Oh my God.
21:16That is so wild.
21:17They're right above us.
21:18They're literally right above us.
21:20That's so scary.
21:24We've got it.
21:25Oh my God.
21:26Oh my God.
21:27They're like pulling stuff down at us.
21:29They're trying to get rid of us.
21:30They don't like that we're here.
21:31With the hush under attack from Monkey,
21:33we decided to move to another building,
21:35which we thought would be safer.
21:37Tell me again.
21:38Who the hell built this?
21:40My relatives.
21:41But as it turns out, we were not alone.
21:43I'm going to call him now.
21:44Oh.
21:45Oh, he's here?
21:46One of Diaz's relatives lived inside this hut.
21:48I can't realize.
21:52And we were about to go inside.
21:53Okay, well this is gonna work.
21:55It's okay.
21:57Here.
21:58Come inside.
21:59I know.
22:00The car is inside.
22:01I don't know.
22:02I don't know.
22:03Okay, Dara.
22:04This is why it's very important to travel here.
22:06With local.
22:09This is insane that he's this far in.
22:11What's his name?
22:13I forget.
22:14What Diaz?
22:15What the hell?
22:16Ruli or something like that.
22:18Yeah.
22:19Oh wait, are we about to sleep with Ruli?
22:21Here.
22:22Will you sleep here?
22:23Definitely.
22:24Ohhhh.
22:25Yeah.
22:26Is this wild?
22:27I don't know.
22:28This is crazy.
22:29Yeah, this is.
22:30Yeah.
22:31After learning, Diaz didn't even know the name of his so-called relative.
22:33You're gonna sleep where?
22:34Down there.
22:35With that dog.
22:36We made up every excuse to try and get out of there.
22:38I don't know.
22:39I mean, we can join you.
22:40We can do that as well.
22:41Yeah, we'll just do hammocks or whatever.
22:42Hammocks.
22:43Yeah, because it's probably better for the video for us as well.
22:45Okay, let's go.
22:46Yeah.
22:47So, yeah.
22:48He can sleep in peace.
22:52Bro.
22:53That was wild.
22:54Borneo.
22:55How'd you feel though?
22:56Um...
22:57I was kind of weird and freaky.
22:58Yeah, I was like...
22:59That gave me weird vibes.
23:00We had to get our head cut off like...
23:02I mean, he was way too friendly.
23:04He was asleep and he just barged in.
23:06And he was like, yes, sleep is.
23:07And sleep here right next to me.
23:08But then also the kind of scary feeling of...
23:10They were head hunters.
23:11This is our last night on the island.
23:13We're gonna release these blood pythons.
23:15Then to be honest, I'm gonna get the f*** off.
23:18How'd you sleep?
23:19Not good.
23:20Why?
23:23I just didn't sleep again.
23:25Well, just to be honest.
23:26You were cuddling up with me.
23:28Yeah, that was probably a...
23:30That was like...
23:33After what Diaz told us last night,
23:35the mood in camp was still tense.
23:38Before heading back to the boat,
23:39we checked on the blood pythons.
23:41So we're gonna check on the blood pythons.
23:43Give them a little drink.
23:44Make sure they're all good for the final stretch.
23:46And then, you know,
23:48we're gonna be releasing them pretty damn soon.
23:50How are you feeling about these guys?
23:51I feel good.
23:52I'm excited to get them to their...
23:53Home.
23:54Or what will be their home.
23:55Yeah.
23:56It's been quite the journey.
23:57Mentally, physically.
23:59So hopefully the next time we see these guys,
24:01we are releasing them into their habitat.
24:03I came into this not knowing anything about snakes
24:05and I do feel like I'm not as scared of them
24:08and that they're actually a really cool creature.
24:10Most of them are a lot more chill than I expect.
24:12We got bit loads last night.
24:13What am I talking about?
24:14They were all small as well.
24:15Shall we crack on and go?
24:16Yeah, we should.
24:17Final stretch.
24:18So we still got a little bit more land traversal to do,
24:21but this is the last time we're gonna see the boat
24:23after this journey.
24:25We headed out on Diaz's boat for the final time.
24:28The point that we will release the blood python,
24:31it takes approximately two hour two.
24:33He was taking us to a location so isolated
24:36that the blood pythons would be able to thrive.
24:39This just looks like an entirely different terrain.
24:41But with us also unsure if we could trust him or not,
24:44it also meant we would be incredibly vulnerable.
24:47And then there was a problem.
24:50This is the end of the line for the boat.
24:52Diaz's boat could go no further
24:54and we would have to make it to the tree line by foot.
24:57Is it dangerous before this tree line?
24:58Like, is there snakes here?
25:00Yeah, definitely.
25:01A giant python, cray, shooting cobra,
25:03orange snake killback, bandit crate,
25:06and then king cobra.
25:07All I heard was every single snake that I've ever heard of.
25:10We've got to make it to that tree line
25:12without getting bit or eaten by
25:14any number of those species of snakes.
25:16Oh, bro, this is scary.
25:18Say goodbye to the boat.
25:19Oh, oh, Diaz, that's deep.
25:21This is slightly terrifying.
25:23Many, many water snakes and even the land snakes
25:26can be in here as well.
25:27Honestly, we just got to walk and hope for the best
25:29at the same time as well.
25:30So some of the snakes are going to blend in with the reeds,
25:33and some of them are not.
25:34If a king cobra came for us now,
25:36we would not see it coming.
25:37And one bite means death.
25:39This is like the last place I would want to see a king cobra.
25:41Because we can't, we can't move,
25:43we can't really jump out of the way.
25:45There's no way to like really run around here.
25:47Coming up to the halfway mark right now.
25:49Definitely touched something on my foot.
25:53Look at me.
25:55Diaz.
25:56Oh, this is a reticulet python, man.
25:58Okay.
25:59Yeah, let's just chill.
26:00Literally directly in our path.
26:01We could have stood right on it.
26:03You got it?
26:04You got it?
26:05Yeah.
26:06Oh, God.
26:07Okay, everything good?
26:08Everything good?
26:09Everything good, man.
26:10Okay, wow.
26:11Oh, my God.
26:12That is a big one.
26:13Jesus.
26:14Wild, man.
26:15This is a beautiful snake.
26:16Look at the almost rainbow shimmer that you can see on that.
26:19Yeah.
26:20Shimmering all over its skin.
26:22I feel like I am getting used to snakes, you know, at this point, man.
26:26You're kind of liking it.
26:28Yeah, you're coming to their place.
26:30This is their home and it's like we got to appreciate them.
26:34Yeah.
26:35These are things to be incredibly respected, though.
26:37Let's release this.
26:38Okay.
26:39A bit away from our trail.
26:40Yeah, that's good.
26:41Over here.
26:42It's actually got my fingers caught.
26:44And then after that, I release the head directly.
26:47It's still on my hand, Diaz.
26:50Okay, there it goes.
26:52That is the one interesting thing that I guess I'm learning on this entire journey is
26:57humans are kind of one of the craziest predators and literally for these blood pythons,
27:03we're the biggest danger to them.
27:04We're the ones hunting and eating them.
27:06This is extreme.
27:08Just challenging yourself and learning something new.
27:10I feel like I'm alive.
27:11It's like what we're meant to do.
27:13We're about 20 meters now.
27:15There's a lot of people that talk a lot of crap, but they actually haven't done anything.
27:19I want to be the opposite of that, you know?
27:22And we've made it out of the reed area.
27:24Now to enter this forest.
27:25And my scary job as the cameraman is to catch up with them on my own.
27:29Hopefully they've not found any snakes.
27:31I bet you Dara's just going to cut me in the edit.
27:33We made it to the tree line and headed deeper into the forest.
27:36This is a proper forest.
27:38As we neared the center of the island, the encounters with snakes became more frequent.
27:42Snakes.
27:43Is it a snake?
27:44Yeah.
27:45How did you get that?
27:48Bro.
27:49Sunbeam snake.
27:50So we could've walked right on top of that as well.
27:52Yeah, we could.
27:53That's why every little movement, we need to be careful.
27:56Okay, can I just say, uh...
27:58I'm walking barefoot.
28:00So is he?
28:02Oh man.
28:03Before we could release the blood pythons, we had to find the right location.
28:07So the actual terrain and habitat for a blood python is super important.
28:11Super important.
28:12Diaz was taking us to a place where the blood pythons would have the best possible chance
28:16of survival.
28:17I have a specific spot.
28:18And over there, it's more food for them.
28:20But this area was also home to a concentrated number of venomous snakes.
28:24I'm getting flashbacks of river right now.
28:27Anytime I see water, I get scared.
28:30And then...
28:31Guys, is that what I think it is?
28:32We encountered the one thing we had been trying to avoid this entire trip.
28:36And one bite means death.
28:38Diaz has literally just found a kinkobra.
28:40Okay, come back.
28:41Come back, Diaz.
28:42I don't want you to get hurt.
28:43Diaz.
28:44You guys hear that?
28:45Matt, give me that camera.
28:46If you want to get footage of it, yeah.
28:48Yeah, yeah, yeah.
28:49Okay.
28:50Check this out, guys.
28:51Please be careful, man.
28:52Just check this out.
28:53The largest venomous snake in the world.
29:03It's ready to attack.
29:04Jesus!
29:05Okay, okay.
29:06Alright.
29:07Alright.
29:08Almost, guys.
29:09I need to make this guy away from us right now.
29:13Okay.
29:14And that's when the deadliest snake on the planet attacked me.
29:17Alright, alright.
29:18Get the fuck back.
29:19Get the fuck back.
29:20Get the fuck back.
29:21Oh my fucking god.
29:26Holy shit.
29:31Oh my fucking god.
29:32Okay.
29:33Diaz.
29:34Oh my god.
29:35Alright, guys.
29:36We need to be careful.
29:37Yeah.
29:38Yes.
29:39Because we are far away from the health center.
29:40Yeah.
29:41We're not getting bit.
29:42We're not getting bit.
29:43Yeah.
29:44Matt, come closer.
29:45Come closer.
29:46I don't know about touching that guy.
29:48Right.
29:49Okay.
29:50So, that's okay.
29:51That's okay.
29:52That's okay.
29:53If he chase you, I will catch him.
29:54Okay?
29:55Okay.
29:56He's literally...
29:57Okay.
29:58Yeah, no, I hear you.
29:59I hear you.
30:00Yeah.
30:01I'm just gonna run.
30:02If he's chasing me, I'm running.
30:03You want me to distract him with my yellow coat or something?
30:05Oh man, yeah.
30:06Would that be helpful?
30:07Let's do that.
30:08Let's do that.
30:09Let's do that.
30:10Matt, can you take that?
30:11Sorry.
30:12To stop us all from being bit, Diaz had to try to close the snake's mouth.
30:15I'm so scared.
30:16Yeah, like that.
30:17Like that.
30:18That's good.
30:19That's good.
30:20That's okay.
30:21Okay, okay.
30:22You got it.
30:23He's holding it.
30:24He's literally holding it.
30:25Matt.
30:26Okay.
30:27Matt, get in a little closer.
30:28If you want to see it.
30:29I see.
30:30Yeah.
30:31Oh my god, Diaz.
30:32I had almost just lost my life, but adrenaline came out.
30:35was pumping so hard through my veins, that I kept nearing the deadly snake.
30:40You should subscribe right now.
30:41Get us to a million subscribers.
30:42This is literally one of the scariest, most insane things we've ever done.
30:46I am bricking my pants right now.
30:48He's holding it.
30:49If I touch it, you have to touch it.
30:52What?
30:53Oh my...
30:54Okay, what do you want me to...
30:56Nice.
30:57Nice.
30:58I'm going to touch it.
30:59Matt, I'm going to touch it.
31:00I got the shot.
31:02I got the shot.
31:03I'm going to touch it.
31:04Right, touch it, touch it, touch it.
31:05Yay!
31:06Yay!
31:07You did it!
31:08I'm done, I'm done, I'm done.
31:09Come on, Dara.
31:10Hold it, hold this, hold this, hold this.
31:11Come on, Matt.
31:12Come on.
31:13You too.
31:14Look, check out the size.
31:16It's crazy.
31:17Oh my god.
31:19It is actually beautiful.
31:21Yeah, man.
31:22I feel so much better now that Matt is closed.
31:24I am.
31:25Let's go.
31:26Let's go.
31:27King Cobra in the hands right now.
31:29I am shook.
31:30Look at the light.
31:31Matt, my heart.
31:32Matt.
31:33I felt like I was about to die.
31:34This is enough.
31:35Enough snacks for today.
31:36Dara, ready?
31:37Oh my god.
31:38Check that out, guys.
31:39Oh my god.
31:40It's beautiful.
31:41Oh my god.
31:42Dara.
31:43He's gone?
31:44That's it?
31:45Yeah, he's gone.
31:46Matt.
31:47Dara, let's go.
31:48Let's go, let's go, let's go.
31:49While it's going there, let's go.
31:50That was probably the scariest moment of my life.
31:52Diaz, you saved me.
31:53You saved me.
31:54Yeah, I hope that.
31:55You literally saved me.
31:56Yeah, yeah.
31:57It's amazing.
31:58Alright.
31:59It's amazing.
32:00Yeah, yeah, we need to see that back.
32:03I literally fell.
32:04We can't let that happen again.
32:06Like nothing like that ever again.
32:08Alright, alright.
32:09Put back again.
32:10Put back again.
32:13Jesus.
32:14Bro, that was way too close for my liking.
32:17Yeah.
32:18Not gonna lie, I'd love to go release these blood pythons.
32:23Let's go release these blood pythons, yeah.
32:25Three days ago, I started this journey to release the blood pythons to the center of this island.
32:30And along the way, I faced things I never imagined.
32:33And with the final day coming to an end, there was just one thing left for us to do.
32:40We're away from the rivers.
32:41Yeah.
32:42This is like one of the highest points around here.
32:44They love this kind of terrain.
32:46And also this is the perfect burrow for them.
32:49So let's release them.
32:50We do it?
32:51Yeah.
32:52Finally, guys.
32:53It's not emotional.
32:54What the hell?
32:56So this tree, of all the trees that we've passed in this entire video, in these three days,
33:01we're gonna just put them here, yeah?
33:02So the perfect spot.
33:03Yeah.
33:04Perfect spot, man.
33:05This is the best.
33:06Feels wrong.
33:07Well, it doesn't feel wrong, but we have to let them go.
33:08But it was time for us to help these guys survive.
33:11I wasn't sure how to feel about them at the start of this video, but like, I don't know.
33:16I've gotten such an appreciation for snakes now.
33:18They're honestly like a more shy creature than other than the king cobra.
33:24Other than the king cobra.
33:25And you need to respect them.
33:26But I tell you what, man.
33:27I have a healthy, healthy respect from snakes now.
33:30Yeah.
33:31This is his home.
33:32He knows it's his home.
33:33Yeah.
33:34But we gotta release these at the same time.
33:35Let's do it.
33:36In here, Matt.
33:37You ready?
33:38Oh my god, Matt.
33:39Let's go, guys.
33:40Let's go.
33:41Bye-bye.
33:42See you guys later.
33:43We directly found the barrel.
33:46Mission accomplished.
33:47Let's go.
33:48We have done it.
33:49The blood pythons have been released.
