00:07Um, it feels, like, very surreal,

00:09and my nervous system is still, like, all over the place,

00:11so I don't know if I'll make sense in this interview,

00:14but we're not making any sense.

00:16We're happier for you than you're happy.

00:18We were crying when you won. We're such big fans.

00:20Thank you. That's very sweet.

00:22I'm big fans of you guys as well.

00:24Well, thank you. I know we just met five minutes ago,

00:26but I feel like we're vibing.

00:29You have had an incredible year with really diverse projects.

00:33This one seems extra special to you.

00:35Why did you feel like this was a role that you just had to take?

00:38Um, I felt like it was a role I had to take,

00:41because when I read the script,

00:43I knew that it asked of an actress of certain things

00:46to be, uh, to have dramatic capabilities

00:49and to also speak Chinese,

00:51and those were two things that I knew,

00:53didn't think that I could do.

00:54It was very challenging, but I knew that

00:56this material was so close to me

00:58and that, um, I, I related to Billie.

01:00I felt Billie.

01:01And then that was why I needed to do it.

01:03No one was more excited than your table.

01:05With your win tonight, Lulu Wang,

01:07the director who I love

01:08and can't wait to see what she does next,

01:10jumping up and down.

01:11Your face was complete shock.

01:13I was shocked.

01:14You need to watch it back because it's just phenomenal.

01:17Are you really not expecting it?

01:18Not, I mean, no, no.

01:20Do you ever really,

01:21are you supposed to expect those things?

01:23I mean, you don't know.

01:24And also because the group I was nominated with,

01:25it's just like incredible actresses.

01:27You don't, you never know.

01:28But, um, yeah, this is just, it's very surreal.

01:31You so deserve it.

01:33And I was listening to a red carpet interview

01:35where you were saying it was your first Golden Globes.

01:37It seems so crazy because it seems like you've been around a while,

01:39which is, this is all still really new for you.

01:41Yeah.

01:42Tell us about your night inside the ballroom.

01:44Who did you talk to?

01:45What was your favorite moment?

01:46Um, I, I actually, I, I was, um, I sat, uh, I was with, with my grandma,

01:52the woman who plays my grandma and, uh, Lulu Wang.

01:55And, and I, and I went and said hi to, to Lisa Liu who plays Amma

01:58in Crazy Rich Asians.

01:59But that was about all the mingling I did.

02:01I didn't do a lot of, I should have done more mingling.

02:03I regret that.

02:04You have the parties for that.

02:05You have to stick around for the parties wrong.

02:07When you have that.

02:08I'm just going to, I'm going to carry it around for the next couple months.

02:33Do you ever look back at that and think about like, where would you be now?

02:47Um, I don't know where I'd be, but I think that, um, I don't think I would ever dreamed

02:53that my life could become something like this.

03:10What are you most excited about with your projects coming up?

03:12Um, well, uh, I, I have, I have a, a, a show coming out in, in, in January.

03:17I'm very excited about releasing that.

03:18Um, and, and then I go and work on my next project, which is, uh, uh, Shang-Chi Marvel.

03:23Yeah.

03:24Yeah.

03:25So yeah.

03:26Yeah.

03:27I'm excited about all that.

03:28I'm leaving very soon.

03:29Are you ready for the Marvel universe fans?
