Sacha Baron Cohen responded on social media Saturday to Donald Trump's assessment that the actor is creepy, phony and not funny.

00:12and the actor is saying right back at you. Cohen fired back at Trump's remarks about him,

00:17posting to Twitter, Donald, I appreciate the free publicity for Borat. I admit I don't find you

00:22funny either. But yet the whole world laughs at you. I'm always looking for people to play racist

00:27buffoons and you'll need a job after January 20th. Let's talk. The exchange came after Trump was

00:32asked by reporters whether he had seen Rudy Giuliani's appearance in the new Borat film,

00:37where Giuliani is shown in a compromising position.

00:46White House bureau chief Steve Herman reported the president's response on Twitter, writing that

00:50Trump answered, I don't know what happened, but years ago, you know, he tried to scam me,

00:55and I was the only one who said, no way. That's a phony guy. He continued saying,

00:59and I don't find him funny. I don't know anything about him other than he tried to scam me.

01:04He came in as a BBC British broadcasting anchor, adding, to me, he was a creep.

01:09Trump has yet to respond to Cohen's tweet, although this is not the first time that an

01:13interaction occurred between Cohen and Trump. In 2018, the comedian trolled Trump after he referred

01:18to the actor as a third-grade character who, quote, needs to learn about funny. The Borat star,

01:24who once interviewed Trump in character as Ali G, has been vocal about his feelings for Trump,

01:29writing an op-ed for Time magazine about how Trump's presidency has brought about the rise
