00:02Were you intimidated at all about coming on to a project like this?

00:06No, I wasn't intimidated.

00:08No, I was very excited.

00:10I was very excited.

00:11Or maybe I interpret intimidation as excitement.

00:14I don't know.

00:14But I was, it was all very, it was like to have the chance to work with Jacques Odiar,

00:21one of the most groundbreaking filmmakers working today,

00:26and a legend, you know, of European and French cinema.

00:29And with these amazing actresses, you know, who are my family today,

00:34a movie, a French movie in Spanish, Mexican, story, all full-on Latin American cast,

00:42Selena going back to her Mexican-American roots, like getting back her Spanish,

00:48doing such a beautiful job.

00:50We, our characters falling in love and having all that tenderness

00:54and all their violence at the same time, you know, it was amazing.

00:58It was amazing.

00:59It's a movie that is filled with contradictions,

01:02and I think that that's what defines us as human beings.

01:05That's what defines our nature.

01:07Yeah.

01:08You got to do a duet with Selena.

01:13Now I have a little moment at being like a micro-pop star next to Selena.
