Ukrainians voiced deep scepticism on Monday as Geneva negotiators pushed for a new framework to end the conflict, with many residents in Kyiv warning that the latest proposals resemble a forced capitulation rather than a path to peace. From engineers to civil servants, people expressed frustration over repeated failed agreements, distrust toward the parties at the table and anger over what they described as “shameful points” that could see Ukraine pressured into concessions. While some welcomed international attention, most said lasting peace cannot come at the cost of Ukrainian territory or national dignity.
