When starting a new chapter in her life, Sara didn't need any distractions. Selling her place, buying a camper, and heading West was what she felt she needed to do to find happiness again. When her truck breaks down in the mid-west, she is invited to park her camper on a family ranch while her truck is repaired. She meets two brothers, who are as different as night and day. Porter is young, strong, and eager to please. Aiden is older, quiet, and likes to farm and work with horses. The brothers are instantly smitten with Sara and soon she begins to have feelings for them both. She finds Porter wild and free, while seeing Aiden as more down to Earth and relatable, especially because of his young tomboy of a daughter, who enjoys having a woman around again. The last thing Sara expected to find was romance on the ranch.

00:00:00Hi, can we get some pictures over there?
00:00:30Yeah.
00:00:36You are so brave, so brave to be here.
00:00:44Oh, you know, she's the sister of the bride and used to date my girl.
00:00:49I don't know how you do it. I would feel so awkward.
00:00:56Nice to see you too.
00:01:00Where do I see the picture?
00:01:07The picture's gonna be a surprise for Mike and Emily.
00:01:10But where is it?
00:01:11On the film inside the camera.
00:01:13Huh?
00:01:14The image is captured onto a roll of...
00:01:19It's like a magic box that holds the image you took.
00:01:23And when the box is all full, the bride and groom will get to see all the lovely photos you took, capturing a special moment in time.
00:01:31Cool.
00:01:32I skinned my knee.
00:01:33My sister's a nurse. She can help you.
00:01:35Sarah!
00:01:36It stings.
00:01:38Oh, no, what happened?
00:01:44I tripped and skinned my knee.
00:01:47Well, luckily, I always carry band-aids in my bag for emergencies just like this.
00:01:52I feel so embarrassed. I don't want to ruin Emily's special night.
00:01:55No, you wouldn't do that.
00:01:57I wouldn't worry.
00:01:59You're the best flower girl I've ever seen.
00:02:01Really?
00:02:02Yeah.
00:02:03All better?
00:02:04Thank you, Sarah.
00:02:09May I have your attention, please, as I raise a brief toast to my lovely sister and her new husband.
00:02:16They say you don't marry the person you can live with, you marry the person you can't live without.
00:02:23That sums up Emily and Mike perfectly.
00:02:25One of my happiest memories is of my father taking Emily and me hiking somewhere in the mountains out west when we were little.
00:02:33Dad would always give us advice, and one I fondly remember, which I'm sure he would have told you tonight,
00:02:40is that happy marriages begin when we marry the one we love and blossom when we love the one we marry.
00:02:47Mom and Dad exemplified this perfectly, and I'm sure they're looking down on you from heaven with the happiest of smiles.
00:02:58To the happy couple.
00:03:00To the happy couple.
00:03:06Sarah, I don't remember those hiking trips.
00:03:10You were just little, but I still have the photo of the three of us together.
00:03:14Where did we go?
00:03:16Wish I knew. Somewhere out west.
00:03:19Is that why you always talked about going west?
00:03:22Ever since I can remember, Sarah has wanted to go, but she never will.
00:03:27Yes, I will.
00:03:28Really? When?
00:03:30Sooner than you think.
00:03:32Maybe I'll sell my place, buy a camper, and go.
00:03:35I'll believe it when I see it.
00:03:41Okay, I believe you now.
00:03:44When were you planning on telling me?
00:03:47I go on my honeymoon to come back and find out you're all packed and ready to go.
00:03:51I said I was going to do it.
00:03:52I didn't think you were serious.
00:03:56Is this because of Mike and me?
00:03:58Maybe a little.
00:04:00You know how hard it was when Mike broke up with me for you.
00:04:03But I came to terms with it, and I'm happy for you both.
00:04:07And totally over Mike.
00:04:08Still though, people keep talking about it.
00:04:12They treat me as if I'm the sister that lost.
00:04:15Sarah, I don't know what to say.
00:04:18On your wedding day, when I was looking through the lens and I saw you not posing for a photo, but in a candid moment, you looked so happy.
00:04:28Really happy.
00:04:30Really happy.
00:04:32And I want to feel that too.
00:04:34I know I can't find that if I stay here.
00:04:37And you really think you're going to find something better out west?
00:04:40That's what I want.
00:04:41It's exciting.
00:04:43It's going to be different, but what are you going to do for work?
00:04:45I have a job lined up at a hospital in Nevada.
00:04:49Nevada?
00:04:50Things haven't been all that bad here, have they?
00:04:53Well, I have so many good memories.
00:04:56But...
00:04:59Look at me here.
00:05:02This is what I want to feel again.
00:05:05To be at home and happy in a way I haven't been for a while now.
00:05:10Mom always said to shoot for the stars.
00:05:13That's what I'm doing.
00:05:14Things won't be the same without you here.
00:05:19I'm going to miss you too.
00:05:23All set.
00:05:39I'll be there ready to go on the 15th.
00:05:42Looking forward to it.
00:05:44I can't wait to meet everyone.
00:05:45Yeah.
00:05:47Okay.
00:05:48See you then.
00:05:49Bye-bye.
00:05:56You want some nuggets, boy?
00:05:58You want some?
00:05:59All this fresh air and freedom can really wear a girl out.
00:06:17Come on, Dakota. Time to go to bed.
00:06:18I'm heading to go to bed.
00:06:19We've got a full day of adventures tomorrow.
00:06:20I'm heading to bed.
00:06:21We've got a full day of adventures tomorrow.
00:06:22I was heading to bed, going to be the first one.
00:06:25I'm heading to bed, man.
00:06:26I want some nuggets, because we'll be in the research.
00:06:27I'm heading to bed for today.
00:06:29Bye-bye.
00:06:40I'm heading to bed.
00:06:41Come on boy, could you use a hand?
00:07:06No, I'm...
00:07:07Here.
00:07:08Well yes, please.
00:07:10There you go.
00:07:13Of course.
00:07:14Well, hello there boy.
00:07:16This is Dakota.
00:07:18Well, hello Dakota.
00:07:20I'm Frank.
00:07:21Sarah.
00:07:22Are you new in town?
00:07:24Not just passing through.
00:07:25There you are Frank.
00:07:27I'm just getting some fresh air and making some new friends.
00:07:30Oh, hi.
00:07:35What is it boy?
00:07:40Well, you better you're going but good to meet you both.
00:07:44Nice to meet you.
00:07:45Nice meeting you and Dakota.
00:07:46Come on boy.
00:07:47Come on boy.
00:07:48Come on boy.
00:07:54I'll talk to you in a minute.
00:08:07I'll talk to you in a minute.
00:08:23This type of behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
00:08:27I'll make sure she knows it.
00:08:29Unfortunately, this is not the first time we pet her.
00:08:32Something has to change.
00:08:34I understand.
00:08:35This will be her last warning.
00:08:37I'll talk to her and make sure this doesn't happen again.
00:08:41Let's go, girlie.
00:08:45Bye, Sam.
00:08:54Put your seatbelt on.
00:09:00Are you mad?
00:09:02No, I'm not mad.
00:09:04You want to tell me what happened?
00:09:05That boy, Maverick, he called me a name and I punched him in the nose.
00:09:13Is your hand okay?
00:09:14It hurts a little, but I did just what you told me to when someone called me a name.
00:09:19I clarified what he said and I asked if he really meant it.
00:09:22And then I punched him for it.
00:09:25What did he call you?
00:09:27Purdy.
00:09:27Purdy.
00:09:29What?
00:09:30He said I was purdy.
00:09:35Do you know what that means?
00:09:36No.
00:09:37It means pretty or beautiful.
00:09:40Oh.
00:09:41He was complimenting you, sweetie, not insulting you.
00:09:44Well, now I feel downright awful.
00:09:47Now I know to never call you purdy.
00:09:48That was a good stop, wasn't it, boy?
00:09:57Only a few seats away.
00:09:59Maybe we slow down a little.
00:10:01This is not what I meant when I said slow down.
00:10:17Oh!
00:10:34Oh, yes.
00:10:36Hi, can you hear me?
00:10:42Hello.
00:10:42Yeah, I'm here.
00:10:43Um, my truck broke down and I need some help.
00:10:49Help is on the way.
00:10:59You should stop.
00:11:00Make sure everything's okay.
00:11:01Doesn't look like anyone's there.
00:11:03Just in case.
00:11:13Hello.
00:11:14Hi.
00:11:15Need some help?
00:11:17I think we've got it covered.
00:11:18Thanks, though.
00:11:19We?
00:11:21Hi, boy.
00:11:22Aren't you handsome?
00:11:23This is Dakota.
00:11:24I'm Sarah.
00:11:26I'm Sam.
00:11:27This is my dad, Aiden.
00:11:29You sure you're all right?
00:11:30It's a waste of town.
00:11:32Uh, help's already on the way.
00:11:35Okay.
00:11:35You can't just leave her out here.
00:11:45She said help's on the way.
00:11:47What's the right thing to do?
00:11:54I thought you said you were leaving.
00:11:56It just doesn't feel right leaving you out here alone.
00:11:59I appreciate the concern, but I think I'm okay.
00:12:01It's no trouble.
00:12:02Like my daughter said, I'm Aiden.
00:12:04Nice to meet you.
00:12:07You're not from around here, are you?
00:12:08From Chicago.
00:12:10My dad could take a look.
00:12:12Be my guest.
00:12:14Come here, boy.
00:12:16Come here.
00:12:18So what happened?
00:12:20It's been running fine for the past thousand miles,
00:12:22and then out of the blue it just stopped.
00:12:24What kind of noise was she making?
00:12:26Noise?
00:12:26Rattling or clicking or more of a whining sound?
00:12:29Um, a whining?
00:12:31I'd say you either have a bad water pump
00:12:34or your drive belt is loose.
00:12:36I'm leaning towards water pump, though.
00:12:38You think that you can diagnose what's wrong with my truck
00:12:40by the noise it's making?
00:12:42I can't say that's what it is for sure,
00:12:44but there's a good chance.
00:12:45He knows his stuff.
00:12:46You, Sarah?
00:12:58You found me.
00:12:59Ed McAvoy, at your service.
00:13:02Aiden, Sam, good to see you.
00:13:05Do you know what's wrong?
00:13:07Well, ma'am, it looks like your water pump is shot.
00:13:10It's a good thing you stopped when you did.
00:13:13Normally, this would be a quick fix,
00:13:14but I just sold the last one I had in stock.
00:13:17How long are we talking?
00:13:19About a week, most likely.
00:13:21Well, I don't know if I can wait that long.
00:13:23Getting the water pump is half the battle.
00:13:26Digging deep into the engine to install it
00:13:28and putting everything back together again,
00:13:30that's what you may call the tedious part,
00:13:32but I'll get it done as fast as possible.
00:13:34Well, should I just follow you back into town?
00:13:36You can ride with me as I tow your truck into Harmony.
00:13:39Then I'll come back tomorrow for the camper.
00:13:41Tomorrow?
00:13:42Mm-hmm.
00:13:43I have an idea.
00:13:44Mr. McAvoy, what if you take our truck to Harmony
00:13:47and we can use my dad's truck and tow our camper to the ranch?
00:13:50We can do it.
00:13:51Right, Dad?
00:13:51Um, yeah, sure.
00:13:55The ranch?
00:13:56Uh-huh.
00:13:56It's about 15 minutes from here, 30 minutes from Harmony.
00:13:59You'll love it.
00:14:00We even have hookups for your camper.
00:14:01There's an older couple.
00:14:02They help out around the ranch and stay there in their trailer,
00:14:05so we can park you right next to them.
00:14:07Probably a good idea.
00:14:10Okay.
00:14:11That'd be great.
00:14:12Um, let me just grab a few things from my truck.
00:14:22I really appreciate this.
00:14:25Oh, it's no trouble.
00:14:26Dad, would you say Sarah's party?
00:14:31I, uh...
00:14:32Is that so?
00:14:38The way your cheeks are brushing tells me you do.
00:14:41Well,
00:14:41do you mind if we pull over for a minute?
00:14:52Uh, sure.
00:14:54Are those wild horses?
00:14:56They are.
00:14:57Not many places left to find them.
00:14:59Mostly in our state and a few surrounding.
00:15:01That was amazing.
00:15:21That was amazing.
00:15:23So, uh, photographer, huh?
00:15:28Oh, it's just a hobby.
00:15:30I developed my own film, too.
00:15:33Really?
00:15:33It's a lot easier than you may think.
00:15:36But thank you for stopping.
00:15:37That was beautiful.
00:15:39Mm-hmm.
00:15:40Can I see the photos on the ready?
00:15:41Of course.
00:15:42So, uh, Sarah, you said you're from Chicago?
00:15:54Born and raised.
00:15:56And where are you headed?
00:15:58Uh, Nevada.
00:15:59Got a new job at a hospital there.
00:16:01Started pretty soon.
00:16:02Oh, well, don't worry.
00:16:04Ed'll get your truck working in no time.
00:16:06Ever been in the Rocky Mountains before?
00:16:08I was around here years and years ago with my dad.
00:16:12I actually have a photo.
00:16:17That's me right there.
00:16:20It's a pretty picture, isn't it, Dad?
00:16:22Yeah, sure is.
00:16:24I wish I knew where this was.
00:16:27But trying to find this exact spot would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
00:16:32I wish I could take pictures like that.
00:16:38Let's get you set up.
00:16:52Let's get you set up.
00:17:08Hey.
00:17:20So how long have you lived here?
00:17:22As long as I can remember.
00:17:24Any brothers or sisters?
00:17:27No, just me and my dad.
00:17:28My mom's been gone a long time.
00:17:30Oh.
00:17:32I'm so sorry to hear that.
00:17:33My mom passed away a few years ago, too.
00:17:35Oh, my mom didn't die.
00:17:39Oh.
00:17:40Uh, sorry, Samantha.
00:17:42Call me Sam.
00:17:43Okay.
00:17:44Sam.
00:17:46Should be good to go.
00:17:47I appreciate this.
00:17:49What can I pay to cover my stay?
00:17:51Oh, you don't have to worry about that.
00:17:52Just get yourself settled.
00:17:54We're going to head up to the house.
00:17:56Dinner should be ready in an hour or so if you'd like to join.
00:17:59I'll see you at supper.
00:18:03Okay.
00:18:05That'd be great.
00:18:07Bye.
00:18:09Aiden?
00:18:10Yeah?
00:18:14Really.
00:18:15Really.
00:18:22It was nice to meet you.
00:18:23I'll see you at supper.
00:18:24This isn't too bad, is it, boy?
00:18:36Beautiful evening, Henry.
00:18:38Fresh air, exercise.
00:18:40Really keeps the blood flowing.
00:18:41Slow down, Charlotte.
00:18:42It's hard keeping up when you're walking so fast.
00:18:45It looks like we have a new neighbor.
00:18:47And who is this?
00:18:49Hi.
00:18:50Hi.
00:18:51Oh, he's such a sweetie.
00:18:53What's his name?
00:18:54It's Dakota.
00:18:55This is my husband, Henry Krantz.
00:18:58I'm Charlotte.
00:18:59This is our place.
00:19:00Hi.
00:19:00I'm Sarah.
00:19:02Welcome.
00:19:02Are you joining us for supper?
00:19:05Do you think it would be an inconvenience?
00:19:08I don't want to be a third wheel.
00:19:10You'd actually be more like a fourth wheel.
00:19:13Cowboy needs to eat twice as much to keep my energy up.
00:19:16Come on, let's wash up and we will come back and get you in a few minutes.
00:19:19Okay, thank you.
00:19:20Dad, we're home.
00:19:25Here we're kitchen.
00:19:27Take your bag upstairs.
00:19:29Homework first, then chores, then you can play.
00:19:31Yes, Dad.
00:19:32I just moved a camper into one of the hookups.
00:19:36Owner broke down up on the highway.
00:19:38That's fine.
00:19:39How long will you be staying?
00:19:40Oh, not he.
00:19:41Her.
00:19:41Her name is Sarah and just until her truck is fixed.
00:19:44She's traveling alone?
00:19:45She has a dog.
00:19:46Hi, Grandpa.
00:19:47Oh, how's my little angel?
00:19:50Starving.
00:19:51And I invite Sarah to dinner.
00:19:53You already told Grandpa about Sarah?
00:19:54Mm-hmm.
00:19:55You really like her.
00:19:56She's so nice and really pretty.
00:19:58Don't you think, Dad?
00:20:00You seen Porter?
00:20:01Not since breakfast.
00:20:02He didn't finish with the hay and his truck is gone.
00:20:04Well, I'm sure he'll have a good excuse.
00:20:06He always does.
00:20:08You wash your hands?
00:20:08Where exactly are you?
00:20:11I'll send you a pin.
00:20:12I'm coming to get you.
00:20:14I'm okay.
00:20:15I'll hop on a plane and be there tomorrow.
00:20:17Emily, really.
00:20:18I'm good.
00:20:19Are you sure?
00:20:20Yes.
00:20:21I just wanted to let you know where I was.
00:20:23The truck will be ready in about a week and I'll be back on the road.
00:20:26Call me every day.
00:20:28Oh, I better go.
00:20:29Call tomorrow.
00:20:30Ready?
00:20:32So, how long have you been on the ranch?
00:20:35Coming up on 30 years.
00:20:36Wow, that's amazing.
00:20:38How long have you two been together?
00:20:4035 years.
00:20:41Don't cheat us out of a few years.
00:20:43We are coming up on our 27th anniversary.
00:20:46That's right.
00:20:48Isn't that what I said?
00:20:50Sure.
00:20:52Evening, Charlotte.
00:20:53Henry.
00:20:53Evening.
00:20:55Oh, good.
00:20:55Made it.
00:20:58Here you go, Dad.
00:21:01Come on in.
00:21:03Dad, this is Sarah.
00:21:05Sarah, my father, Walter Anderson.
00:21:07Nice to meet you, Mr. Anderson.
00:21:08Oh, save the formalities.
00:21:10You can call me Walter.
00:21:12Dad, you cooking dinner or wearing it?
00:21:15You make yourself at home.
00:21:16I got a few more things to do in the kitchen, so if you'll excuse me.
00:21:21Looks like Walter's on the grill tonight.
00:21:24Sarah, you have your choice of meat cooked one of two ways.
00:21:29Two ways?
00:21:29Perfectly well done or burnt to a crisp.
00:21:37Hi, Sarah.
00:21:38Hi, Sam.
00:21:39I have something for you.
00:21:40For me?
00:21:41Mm-hmm.
00:21:45So you can take your own pictures.
00:21:47Well, let's pray if it's all right with our guest, Sarah.
00:21:52Of course.
00:21:58Lord, we praise you for the nourishment you provide.
00:22:01We thank you for our guest, Sarah.
00:22:03And we pray that you will energize us so that we will be able to accomplish the work before us.
00:22:12Where are the potatoes?
00:22:14Did anybody see where the potatoes went?
00:22:15She doesn't forget.
00:22:17Is it a course going to help you?
00:22:17Yeah, a course going to help you.
00:22:18We're getting close to the day.
00:22:19We're getting close to the day.
00:22:19We're getting close to the day.
00:22:21We're getting close to the day.
00:22:21Sarah, I'm sorry.
00:22:23We're being rude.
00:22:25We're excluding you from the conversation.
00:22:27I'm just enjoying the company.
00:22:29Aiden tells me you're a photographer.
00:22:31Not professionally or anything.
00:22:33It's just been a passion of mine since I could hold a camera.
00:22:38Grandpa, look.
00:22:38Now I can do it, too.
00:22:40Well, I bet you have a good eye.
00:22:42So what do you do for work?
00:22:44I'm a nurse.
00:22:45Worked in the ER at Chicago Memorial for several years.
00:22:50Do you really think that Ed can get my truck fixed in time?
00:22:53Yeah.
00:22:53Ed's a man of his word.
00:22:55Do you have somewhere to be?
00:22:57Uh, yeah.
00:22:58Nevada by the 15th.
00:22:59I have a new nursing job at a hospital there.
00:23:02Oh, you have family in Nevada?
00:23:04Uh, no.
00:23:04Just starting over.
00:23:06New city, new job.
00:23:08I wonder if I should find a place to store my trailer and take a flight.
00:23:12You know, just in case.
00:23:14Now, if Ed says he'll get it done, he'll get it done.
00:23:18Hmm.
00:23:19How can I ever repay you for all your kindness and hospitality?
00:23:24You don't have to do anything.
00:23:25We're just happy to have you here.
00:23:27Well, can I at least help with the dishes or cleaning up?
00:23:30Absolutely.
00:23:31That's Sam's job.
00:23:33You won't mind if I help, right?
00:23:35Not at all.
00:23:36Now, put your left hand behind your back, one foot up, and one eye closed.
00:23:46Careful!
00:23:47It's no wonder you still aren't done.
00:23:49Mmm, there might be a little bit more play than actual washing of dishes.
00:23:53We're just having fun.
00:23:55Better start getting ready for a bed, Sam.
00:23:57You have school in the morning.
00:23:58Okay, Daddy.
00:23:59Thank you for the camera.
00:24:03I'm really glad you're here.
00:24:05Good night, Sarah.
00:24:06Good night.
00:24:07Brush your teeth.
00:24:08I'll be up in a few minutes.
00:24:16Not where you expected to be this evening?
00:24:18No, this was not on the itinerary.
00:24:22So why Nevada, if you don't mind me asking?
00:24:27I've always wanted to go out west.
00:24:30Maybe it's because I have such good memories out here from when I was a kid.
00:24:34The photo with your dad?
00:24:34Yeah.
00:24:37It was so perfect.
00:24:40Maybe it's because everything was simpler back then.
00:24:44Life here on the ranch is pretty simple.
00:24:46You'll have to try some things while you're here.
00:24:48It'll help pass the time, and you might find some interesting things to photograph while you explore.
00:24:54That'd be great.
00:24:59Maybe I could show you around tomorrow.
00:25:01I have some things to do in the morning, but I could stop by when I'm all done.
00:25:08That'd be nice.
00:25:13My pleasure.
00:25:31I should have done this a long time ago.
00:25:36Eating crispy marshmallows in front of a raging inferno?
00:25:38No.
00:25:42It's just been so long since I've had the chance to see the stars like this.
00:25:47They don't have stars in Chicago?
00:25:50Maybe I've just never taken the time to notice them like I am now.
00:25:53Henry and I have always enjoyed this place.
00:25:56It's peaceful.
00:25:58You can get used to the hay fever and hard work.
00:26:02And does everyone that work here on the ranch live here too?
00:26:05No.
00:26:05Just the Andersons and us.
00:26:07They do have a bunkhouse for the cowhands, but they're all seasonal.
00:26:10And you guys have lived here for 30 years?
00:26:13No.
00:26:14We had a place.
00:26:16Put a bit of weight.
00:26:17But the commute was getting harder, so Walter bought us this.
00:26:21We've been here ever since.
00:26:24They've always treated us like family.
00:26:26They seem like real good people.
00:26:29They are.
00:26:30And Aiden is generous, kind.
00:26:36Quite the catch, don't you think?
00:26:37I'm just teasing you, dear.
00:26:45Dakota!
00:26:48Dakota!
00:26:56Dakota!
00:27:02Dakota!
00:27:07You've got to be kidding me.
00:27:15Dakota?
00:27:18What are you doing out here?
00:27:21Dakota!
00:27:23Who's looking for you?
00:27:24Is that your mama?
00:27:26Oh, there you are.
00:27:28Is this who you belong to?
00:27:30She looks like an angel to me.
00:27:34Dakota, come here, boy.
00:27:35What are you doing out here all alone?
00:27:40Um, my camper is parked over by Charlotte and Henry.
00:27:44I'm visiting?
00:27:45Something like that.
00:27:47What are you doing out here?
00:27:49Oh, I live here.
00:27:51Oh.
00:27:51Well, thank you for finding my dog.
00:27:55Anytime, miss.
00:27:58Well, we better get going.
00:28:01You sure you're not an angel?
00:28:03Good night.
00:28:04What time did you get in?
00:28:26It was a little late.
00:28:28You didn't finish the hay.
00:28:31We'll cut the wood.
00:28:33Well, I appreciate you cutting the wood for me.
00:28:35I'll get to the hay later.
00:28:37You're lucky it didn't rain.
00:28:39Could have ruined half the haul.
00:28:41Well, it didn't rain, did it?
00:28:44You know, one of these days you won't be able to rely on luck.
00:28:47You'll have to face the consequences of your actions.
00:28:50Or inaction.
00:28:51Yeah, I'm sure you'll be first in line to watch.
00:28:58Okay, what's got you grinning from ear to ear?
00:29:02I might have met a girl.
00:29:06You meet girls all the time.
00:29:07Oh, not like this one.
00:29:09She's different.
00:29:11I can't stop thinking about her.
00:29:13You meet her last night?
00:29:14Oh, yeah.
00:29:16It was powerful.
00:29:18Electrifying.
00:29:21Well, good luck with this one.
00:29:22You know I won't need it.
00:29:25Hey, just finish the hay and come help us on the fence.
00:29:29So let me get this straight.
00:29:31You were stranded in the middle of nowhere,
00:29:33and a tall, handsome, single stranger came to your rescue.
00:29:37I did not use all those adjectives.
00:29:40Plus, he had his daughter with him.
00:29:42I read between the lines.
00:29:45And why didn't you give me all this information last night?
00:29:47So what's his name?
00:29:50Aiden.
00:29:50But it doesn't matter.
00:29:52I'm not staying here long anyways.
00:29:54Uh-huh.
00:29:54He was just being nice.
00:29:57But he's handsome.
00:29:59Gotta go.
00:30:00So I'm right, aren't I?
00:30:01Bye, Em.
00:30:07Good morning.
00:30:20Hi.
00:30:21Can I help you?
00:30:22You look even more beautiful in the daylight.
00:30:25Down right pretty as a peach.
00:30:28Do I know you?
00:30:29We met last night.
00:30:32That was you in the dark.
00:30:34Yes, ma'am.
00:30:35Sorry to bother you this morning.
00:30:36I just, uh, wanted to make sure you were all settled in.
00:30:39See if you need anything.
00:30:40Did Aiden send you?
00:30:42No, ma'am.
00:30:43My brother's finishing cutting some wood,
00:30:44and then he's got to work on the fence.
00:30:46Oh, your brother's.
00:30:49Yes, ma'am.
00:30:50Porter.
00:30:52Well, Porter.
00:30:54The first thing you can do is stop calling me ma'am.
00:30:56My name's Sarah.
00:30:58Sarah.
00:30:59Can I get you anything?
00:31:01Uh, I think I'm all good.
00:31:04Thank you, though.
00:31:05Well, all right.
00:31:06You just let me know.
00:31:14Porter.
00:31:15Do you know how I can get a ride into Harmony?
00:31:18What's in Harmony you can't find here on the ranch?
00:31:21An assisted living center.
00:31:23I thought I would help pass time by volunteering there.
00:31:26Well, I don't know that anyone's going to town today, but there's plenty to do here.
00:31:32That's what Aiden said.
00:31:34Trail riding, fishing.
00:31:35Oh, it's been so long since I've been on a horse.
00:31:37There you go.
00:31:38We could saddle up in about an hour.
00:31:41Really?
00:31:41Yeah.
00:31:43Just meet me at the stable by the house.
00:31:45Well, okay.
00:31:58Hey.
00:31:59Shouldn't you be in school?
00:32:01Bus isn't here yet.
00:32:03Where are you headed?
00:32:04Taking a new girl for a ride?
00:32:05You met Sarah?
00:32:07Sure have.
00:32:08I think my dad likes her.
00:32:09He just won't admit it.
00:32:11Really?
00:32:12Yeah.
00:32:13And I saw him looking at her when she wasn't looking.
00:32:16Interesting.
00:32:18That's the bus.
00:32:19Gotta run.
00:32:21See you, runt.
00:32:22Later, Bigfeet.
00:32:23Hi, Sarah.
00:32:25Good morning.
00:32:25Enjoy your ride.
00:32:27Good morning, Aiden.
00:32:38Yes, it is.
00:32:40I'm looking forward to seeing the ranch.
00:32:42I'm looking forward to showing you.
00:32:43The horses are all set.
00:32:45You ready to go?
00:32:47You two are going right now?
00:32:50Are you not coming?
00:32:52Looks like Aiden's got a fence to finish.
00:32:54It'll just be the two of us.
00:32:55We should get going before the sun gets too high.
00:32:58I got the perfect place to show you.
00:33:00Well, we could go later when everyone can come.
00:33:03The horses are all ready.
00:33:05The weather's perfect.
00:33:08We'll just try not to overdo it or you'll pay for it tomorrow.
00:33:12She'll be fine.
00:33:14I'll see you later.
00:33:22You good?
00:33:23Yeah.
00:33:24All right.
00:33:25Let's go.
00:33:45That must not have been that long.
00:33:46So, Aiden's older then?
00:33:57Yeah, five years.
00:34:00He doesn't say much, does he?
00:34:03No, he's never been real gifted with words.
00:34:05That's not what I meant.
00:34:06More like he thinks before he speaks.
00:34:09He wants to make what he says count.
00:34:10Yeah, something like that.
00:34:11Yeah, something like that.
00:34:13Any other siblings?
00:34:15Nope, just us.
00:34:17And you both work on the ranch?
00:34:19Yep.
00:34:21Huh.
00:34:21What about you?
00:34:24What brings you here?
00:34:26Just looking for something different.
00:34:27You know, a river ranch spans over a thousand acres.
00:34:51Thousand?
00:34:52Wow, that's a lot.
00:34:55Yeah, it's a good size.
00:34:57It's bigger than most in the area, but far from the largest.
00:35:02I think this is a good place to take a break.
00:35:05Walk around, stretch our legs.
00:35:07See anything we're snapping a photo of?
00:35:25Yeah.
00:35:27You haven't taken any.
00:35:29I'm just waiting to see what I want to remember from this experience.
00:35:35That's it.
00:35:36Eat up.
00:35:37Oh, not too much.
00:35:39I want your figure.
00:35:55Made it.
00:35:56How was it?
00:35:57It was beautiful.
00:36:00Let's get you down.
00:36:01Can I hand you this?
00:36:02Yep.
00:36:04Oh, you all right?
00:36:11Yeah, I'm good.
00:36:14You were out for a long time?
00:36:17There's a lot to see.
00:36:18Day's half gone.
00:36:19You still haven't finished up with the hay.
00:36:21I got plenty of time.
00:36:23Plus, there's all of today's work on top of that.
00:36:26I'll get to it.
00:36:27As you can see, Aiden loves playing the part of the big brother.
00:36:31Treat me like I'm a little kid.
00:36:34Take the horses in, get them wiped down.
00:36:36I'll give you a lift to your camper.
00:36:38Just wipe down the horses.
00:36:41Sir, yes, sir.
00:36:42Thank you for the ride.
00:36:46Anytime.
00:36:49There you go.
00:36:53Oh, easy.
00:36:55I'm good.
00:36:57I'm good.
00:36:59Oh, I think.
00:37:00Here.
00:37:01You're going to be all right?
00:37:08This is fine.
00:37:11Sorry I wasn't able to show you around myself today.
00:37:13It's okay.
00:37:14Porter and I had a lot of fun.
00:37:19Just make sure you take it easy, all right?
00:37:21I plan on it.
00:37:22All right, then.
00:37:23Either get moving, Henry, or we're going to miss out on the face of the lights.
00:37:51Go on.
00:37:51Timmy, that bed hates me.
00:37:54I'm not sure which part of my body hurts worse.
00:37:58Well, it's not the bed.
00:38:02Ow.
00:38:06I'm going to go check on our neighbor.
00:38:07Good idea.
00:38:11Is everything okay, honey?
00:38:14Yeah, just give me a second.
00:38:16I'm moving a bit.
00:38:18Slow.
00:38:21What did you do yesterday?
00:38:27Ride.
00:38:28And ride.
00:38:30I'm hurting in places I didn't even know existed.
00:38:33It's called your pride.
00:38:36Aiden warned me I would be feeling it worse today.
00:38:38You spent the day with Aiden?
00:38:40Oh, it was Porter, actually.
00:38:42He showed me around the ranch.
00:38:44I think I got some pretty good shots.
00:38:46A porter or the ranch?
00:38:47Eh.
00:38:49Breakfast awaits.
00:38:50You coming?
00:38:51I don't think so.
00:38:52I'm going to need a little more recovery time.
00:38:55All right.
00:38:57Well, you rest your legs and Henry and I will bring you back a plate.
00:39:02Oh, no.
00:39:02You don't have to.
00:39:03Oh, yeah.
00:39:04Yeah, that'd be great.
00:39:06Don't worry.
00:39:13I'm watching what I eat.
00:39:15Every bite as it approaches my mouth.
00:39:18Yeah.
00:39:19You two look about as happy as a pair of dead pigs in the sunshine.
00:39:25Do you even know what that means?
00:39:26Of course I do.
00:39:28When a pig's dead body lies out in the sun, its lips begin to curl back from its teeth,
00:39:32making it look like a grin.
00:39:33So basically someone who's smiling when in reality, things aren't going so hot.
00:39:37Is that true?
00:39:38I'm afraid so.
00:39:42Now, what's up with you two?
00:39:44Everything's good.
00:39:46We're good.
00:39:47Is that right?
00:39:47Porter took our guest on a ride all day yesterday and shirked his work again.
00:39:53I got the hay done.
00:39:54Day late.
00:39:55Well, someone had to step up and be hospitable to our guest.
00:39:58Besides, I rather enjoyed her company.
00:40:02She's different.
00:40:04Wait, are you telling me the girl who you met the other night,
00:40:07the one who you can't stop thinking about and you had some powerful connection to,
00:40:12is Sarah?
00:40:13What's it to you?
00:40:15Is Sarah coming for breakfast?
00:40:17I'm afraid not, sweetie.
00:40:19She wasn't feeling so great.
00:40:20So we told her we'd bring her back something to eat.
00:40:23Aiden, why don't you pick her up a plate and take it to her?
00:40:26Yes, sir.
00:40:26I get it.
00:40:27It sounds like you've got a lot of work to catch up on.
00:40:39Ran into Charlotte and Henry at breakfast.
00:40:41They thought you might be hungry.
00:40:43You're a lifesaver.
00:40:44I was just about to make another cup of coffee.
00:40:47Do you want any?
00:40:48That sounds great.
00:40:51Oh, you were right.
00:40:54Do you want any help?
00:40:54Oh, I got it.
00:40:55Pot's just inside on the stove.
00:40:57Just so you know, Porter taking you on such a long ride was not my idea.
00:41:17It was nice.
00:41:18He may have overestimated my ability to ride, but it was still worth it.
00:41:22You took some good pictures of him?
00:41:26Oh, sorry.
00:41:27I saw your photos inside.
00:41:29Oh, thanks.
00:41:31Oh, speaking of photos, this fell out of your bag yesterday.
00:41:35Oh my goodness.
00:41:37It's my only copy.
00:41:38No problem.
00:41:42You know, everyone always seems so busy around here.
00:41:47What can I do to help?
00:41:48Oh, you don't have to do it.
00:41:49Well, I want to, please.
00:41:53Well, there's always something that needs to be done.
00:42:08Hi.
00:42:09Howdy.
00:42:10Can I tell you something?
00:42:11Shoot.
00:42:13I'm sorry for punching you.
00:42:15That's a wrap.
00:42:16No, it wasn't.
00:42:17I didn't know what party meant, and I thought you were calling me a name.
00:42:21I could never call you a name.
00:42:23Never?
00:42:24Never, ever.
00:42:27So you forgive me?
00:42:29Of course I do.
00:42:31I was wondering if I could ask you something.
00:42:35Shoot.
00:42:35I was wondering if I could ask you something to help water the horses.
00:42:51What are you putting you to work for?
00:42:51You want to do something fun?
00:42:54This isn't fun?
00:42:56No, it's not.
00:42:57Time to learn some real cowboy skills.
00:43:00Skills?
00:43:01Yeah.
00:43:02I can show you.
00:43:04After I finish watering the horses.
00:43:07All right.
00:43:08I'll set it up.
00:43:10Left hand holds the coil.
00:43:12Hold this one tight so you don't lose it, but these ones just sit like on a coat hanger,
00:43:16so they can fly when you throw it.
00:43:17This one, you get a big old loop, hold onto it right about there, just above your head,
00:43:22swing it around, and when you want to throw it, just throw it hard like you mean it.
00:43:33Just like that.
00:43:35Swing it around like that, just aim straight and shoot for the back of the cow, and just
00:43:41throw it like you're going to hit the cow.
00:43:42All right.
00:43:43Okay?
00:43:43Yeah?
00:43:43All right.
00:43:44We'll see.
00:43:45Like this?
00:43:45Just like that.
00:43:46Oh, that's so cool.
00:43:51How'd she do it?
00:43:54Hit that cow.
00:43:55Okay.
00:43:56Yeah.
00:43:58Oh.
00:43:59Oh.
00:43:59Oh.
00:44:00Oh.
00:44:02That's close.
00:44:03Yeah.
00:44:03You got this, Sarah.
00:44:04Come on.
00:44:05Yeah.
00:44:07Oh.
00:44:08Oh.
00:44:09You got this.
00:44:10Come on.
00:44:10One more time.
00:44:11All right.
00:44:12Just throw it like you want to smack that cow.
00:44:15Yeah.
00:44:15Okay.
00:44:16Third time's a charm.
00:44:17This is it.
00:44:17This is it.
00:44:18You got it.
00:44:26Oh.
00:44:27Yeah.
00:44:27Good job, bro.
00:44:28Good job, bro.
00:44:30You've got it.
00:44:48That was fun, wasn't it, boy?
00:44:52You've only been here a few days,
00:44:54and you already have two suitors.
00:44:56Far from it.
00:44:58Oh, to be young and naive.
00:45:00You know, having two handsome men
00:45:02to choose from is a good problem to have.
00:45:04Stop teasing.
00:45:06Those were just being nice.
00:45:08You think so?
00:45:10Even though you have two suitors,
00:45:14you only have one heart.
00:45:22Good afternoon.
00:45:24It's getting there.
00:45:26I've finished watering the horses.
00:45:28We appreciate it.
00:45:30I'm going to town for supplies.
00:45:32Do you want to check on your truck?
00:45:34That'd be great.
00:45:36I'm sorry about roping with Porter.
00:45:40What?
00:45:42There is nothing to be sorry about.
00:45:46You just didn't look too pleased that we were playing around.
00:45:48I mean, I know there's work to get done.
00:45:50That's just Porter being Porter.
00:45:52You're a guest and you should spend your time however you please.
00:45:56I'm glad you had fun.
00:45:58Truly.
00:46:00Hey, Ed.
00:46:10Sorry.
00:46:12Well, hello, ma'am.
00:46:14Hi, Ed.
00:46:15How's the repair going?
00:46:16The parts arriving early.
00:46:17Should only be a few more days before I'm finished up.
00:46:18Oh, that's great news.
00:46:20Think you can handle ranch life for a few more days?
00:46:22I quite enjoy it, actually.
00:46:23Oh, really?
00:46:24You mind if I stop across the street for a minute?
00:46:26No, not at all.
00:46:27I was going to see if they could use a volunteer.
00:46:28Volunteer?
00:46:29Yeah.
00:46:30I do it all the time back home.
00:46:31Oh, really?
00:46:32Doing what kind of stuff?
00:46:33Anything the residents want.
00:46:34Games, art classes, playing musical instruments.
00:46:37Sometimes you just listen to their stories.
00:46:38Oh, yeah.
00:46:39Oh, yeah.
00:46:40Oh, yeah.
00:46:41Oh, yeah.
00:46:42Oh, yeah.
00:46:43Oh, yeah.
00:46:44Oh, yeah.
00:46:45Oh, yeah.
00:46:46Oh, yeah.
00:46:47Oh, yeah.
00:46:48Oh, yeah.
00:46:49Oh, yeah.
00:46:50Oh, yeah.
00:46:51Oh, yeah.
00:46:52Oh, yeah.
00:46:53Oh, yeah.
00:46:54Oh, yeah.
00:46:55Sometimes you just listen to their stories.
00:46:57I would think as a nurse, you wouldn't have a lot of spare time, right?
00:47:01It's hard work being in the ER, and you don't really form a personal connection with your
00:47:06patients.
00:47:07You just patch them up, send them on their way.
00:47:08So I would go and volunteer at care facilities and form that personal connection.
00:47:13You miss it?
00:47:14I do.
00:47:15I was going to see if I can volunteer for a little bit, but I can find a ride back to
00:47:20the ranch.
00:47:21Or I could volunteer with you.
00:47:25That's if it's all right with you.
00:47:26I would love that.
00:47:40I'm going to fold.
00:47:42I'm still in.
00:47:44Me too.
00:47:45Sally, what about you?
00:47:46Maybe I should fold.
00:47:47Oh, no, no, no.
00:47:48Not with a hand like that.
00:47:49Well, how much should I bet?
00:47:50All of it.
00:47:51All of it?
00:47:52Absolutely.
00:47:53Well, Sarah, what's it going to be?
00:47:54I fold.
00:47:55I'm out.
00:47:56You won.
00:47:57Okay, Sally, what did you have?
00:48:07Oh, you don't have to show her.
00:48:08Don't worry.
00:48:09I'll share.
00:48:10We're going to need some milk.
00:48:11Aiden, she had nothing.
00:48:12Sneaky.
00:48:13I can't.
00:48:14I can't.
00:48:15Not with a hand like that.
00:48:16Not with a hand like that.
00:48:17Well, how much should I bet?
00:48:18All of it?
00:48:19Absolutely.
00:48:20Well, Sarah, what's it going to be?
00:48:22Aiden, she had nothing.
00:48:25Sneaky.
00:48:28I see why you enjoy that.
00:48:30It's just what I needed.
00:48:32So your job in Nevada, is that in the ER?
00:48:36That's the plan.
00:48:39Why not work in a care facility?
00:48:40I mean, you seem to get so much out of it.
00:48:43Plus, didn't you say you wanted to start over?
00:48:46Well, I guess I just went with the ER
00:48:48because that's what I knew.
00:48:50And I wanted to make sure I had a job before I moved.
00:48:55That doesn't really sound like starting over, does it?
00:48:58I think it took a lot of courage to do what you did.
00:49:01Leaving your home and your family is not an easy step.
00:49:04I mean, look at me, I never left this place.
00:49:06Well, that's different.
00:49:08I mean, your whole family works together.
00:49:11We seem to really love each other.
00:49:13Yeah, for the most part.
00:49:15What about you, your family?
00:49:18It's just my sister and me,
00:49:20and she got married a couple weeks ago.
00:49:22So, new chapters in life in both of us.
00:49:26So what makes you think Nevada's the answer?
00:49:30Gotta start somewhere.
00:49:33I think I'd be scared if I were in your shoes.
00:49:37Why?
00:49:38Starting over alone, even though I have Sam, but still.
00:49:41I hope you find people you care about there,
00:49:46and who take care of you, too.
00:49:56Now I'm worried.
00:49:57I'm sorry, that wasn't my intention.
00:49:59No, it's okay.
00:50:00Okay, I just, I want you to be happy wherever you end up.
00:50:21What kind is this one?
00:50:22Ragweed.
00:50:24Which of these plants are bad for the animals?
00:50:26Huckleberry, jimsonweed, pigweed, johnsongrass.
00:50:30Okay, I'll just pull what you pull.
00:50:36Sarah?
00:50:36Yeah?
00:50:38I have a problem.
00:50:40A really big problem.
00:50:43What is it?
00:50:45A boy asked me to dance with him at the fall festival.
00:50:48Why is that a problem?
00:50:50I don't know how to dance.
00:50:52Well, slow dance.
00:50:55And the festival's in a few days.
00:50:58Well, I could teach you.
00:51:00Really?
00:51:01Mm-hmm.
00:51:09This is one of my grandpa's favorites.
00:51:13Okay, so you're comfortable with country dancing
00:51:15and line dancing, but not slow dancing, right?
00:51:19Yep.
00:51:19First things first, how to hold one another.
00:51:22You'll see a lot of kids your age just throwing their arms
00:51:24around each other, but not you.
00:51:26Maverick is going to extend his hand like this,
00:51:28and if he doesn't, you'll show him how.
00:51:31And then you'll take his hand, but not clasp fingers,
00:51:33because that'll make it hard to spin.
00:51:35His hand will go on your upper arm,
00:51:38because you're in elementary school,
00:51:39and your arm will go up on his shoulder, just like that.
00:51:44Now what?
00:51:45Now, start nice and easy, rock side to side.
00:51:49Just take it nice and slow.
00:51:52It's tricky because you're taller.
00:51:54You're doing great.
00:51:55Really?
00:51:57I've never done this before.
00:51:58Are you sure you're a natural?
00:52:07Hi, Daddy.
00:52:09You should dance there now.
00:52:11Wait, I'm not ready.
00:52:13How about you two show me?
00:52:14You're closer to the same size.
00:52:22Come on, show me.
00:52:23Yeah, sure.
00:52:32Now you're rock side to side, right?
00:52:35That's how you can start it,
00:52:36but then you can also do the box step.
00:52:39What's that?
00:52:39You step in unison.
00:52:41Step, side, together.
00:52:44Some people like to count it.
00:52:47One, two, three.
00:52:49One, two, three.
00:52:52That looks easy enough.
00:52:54Well, then you can add a spin in for some flair.
00:53:00I think I'll just stick to the steps.
00:53:06Thank you for showing her.
00:53:09I thought I heard some of my favorite music.
00:53:13May I understand?
00:53:14Of course.
00:53:16Hmm.
00:53:22Well, you don't need the riding home.
00:53:25Up for one more?
00:53:27Yeah.
00:53:32How strange it is to have a woman in the house again.
00:53:36Yep.
00:53:37It's nice, isn't it?
00:53:38I just forgot how it's supposed to feel.
00:53:43Tell me, baby, where did we go wrong?
00:53:48One foot in, one foot out the door.
00:53:59My house got tangled up on the floor.
00:54:05If this is it, tell me how it's gonna be.
00:54:12Tell me you don't want to...
00:54:14Sure has been nice, having you around.
00:54:18I can't thank you enough.
00:54:20Your family's been so welcoming and kind.
00:54:25I feel at home here.
00:54:30That one, he's always been a thinker.
00:54:33I've noticed.
00:54:35Yeah, he's, uh, puts everything he has into Sam.
00:54:38Um, Aiden was very young when she was born and married straight out of high school.
00:54:44He was dedicated, still is, to Sam to the work.
00:54:49It's nice seeing him light up again, take a breather whenever you're around.
00:54:54I, I really enjoy his company.
00:54:57Well, you're welcome to stay as long as you need.
00:55:02Even after your truck's fixed.
00:55:05Thank you, Walter.
00:55:06Why aren't you in bed?
00:55:21Do you like Sarah?
00:55:23There's no dodging my question.
00:55:24There's no dodging mine.
00:55:27Bed.
00:55:28Do you love her?
00:55:29Do you love her?
00:55:36Love is not a word you can just throw around.
00:55:42Love is more complicated.
00:55:45Love takes time.
00:55:48Did you love mom?
00:55:52I still love your mother.
00:55:55Even though she left?
00:55:57You know, just stop loving someone for the choices they make.
00:56:00Besides, your mom brought you into this world.
00:56:04I will always love her for that.
00:56:08I like how happy you are when you're around Sarah.
00:56:13So do I.
00:56:14I guess that means I do like her.
00:56:20Me too.
00:56:24But her truck is going to be fixed in a few days and she'll have to move on.
00:56:30Don't let her go.
00:56:33That's not up to me, sweetie.
00:56:34That's not up to me.
00:56:41Aiden?
00:56:42Inside.
00:56:44Your father said I might find you here.
00:56:49This barn is different than the other one.
00:56:51Yeah, this is what you might call our retirement barn.
00:56:55These horses have been part of their ranch most of their lives.
00:56:59They don't get ridden?
00:57:00Some of them are used to teach kids a ride, but old age and ailments keep them from working too hard.
00:57:19There's so many of them.
00:57:22These are no longer with us.
00:57:24Is that you?
00:57:31He was my first horse.
00:57:36This is a special place for you.
00:57:39I come here from time to time.
00:57:42Helps keep me centered.
00:57:44You know how your photo with your father makes you feel?
00:57:46This place does the same for me.
00:57:48For my mom, it was always our rooftop deck where her and my dad would stargaze.
00:57:56Astronomy buff?
00:57:57Buff?
00:57:59Obsession, really.
00:58:02She'd say that she felt close to the things that mattered most when she was beneath the stars.
00:58:18I want to talk to you about Sarah.
00:58:26What about her?
00:58:27She's really special.
00:58:28Don't I know that.
00:58:30And you need to respect her.
00:58:31I do.
00:58:32I'm serious about her.
00:58:34Since when have you been serious about anything?
00:58:37All this is is a competition with you.
00:58:39You know that I like her and you want her just because of that.
00:58:43Oh, well it's nice you finally admit you got feelings for her.
00:58:45Look, I don't want her being hurt by you.
00:58:51You afraid of a little competition?
00:58:52There is no competition.
00:58:54I'm not competing.
00:58:55You want to see Sarah.
00:58:57I want to see Sarah.
00:59:00What do you say we make it interesting?
00:59:02I'll race you for it.
00:59:04I'm not racing you.
00:59:05Winner gets Sarah to himself all day.
00:59:07The loser does the other one's work.
00:59:12What do you say?
00:59:15You got yourself a race.
00:59:21To the tree at the end of the field.
00:59:23Push for me.
00:59:25You ready?
00:59:27Yeah.
00:59:36Go!
00:59:36Yeah, yeah!
00:59:39Yeah!
00:59:40Yeah!
00:59:40Yeah!
00:59:41Yeah!
00:59:42Yeah!
00:59:43Let's go!
00:59:44Yeah!
00:59:45Come on!
00:59:46Yeah!
00:59:46Yeah!
00:59:48Come on, don't!
00:59:49Yeah!
00:59:50Here we go!
00:59:51Oh!
00:59:52Come on!
00:59:53Yeah!
00:59:53Yeah!
00:59:53Come on!
00:59:54Yeah!
00:59:54Yeah!
00:59:55Yeah!
01:00:00Yeah!
01:00:01Yeah!
01:00:05Yeah!
01:00:06Come on!
01:00:07Come on!
01:00:09No, no, no, no, no!
01:00:11I had you!
01:00:12I had you!
01:00:14You never win!
01:00:15You never win!
01:00:16Good boy.
01:00:17Best out of three.
01:00:18Let's do best out of three.
01:00:20Deal's a deal.
01:00:22Fine.
01:00:24You win this time, but I'm not giving up on Sarah.
01:00:26Good afternoon.
01:00:39Good afternoon.
01:00:42Good afternoon.
01:00:44How would you feel about an evening under the stars?
01:00:49I'm intrigued.
01:00:51Grab some warm clothes and your camera gear.
01:00:53Do I get to know where we're going?
01:00:56It's a surprise.
01:01:09Let me know if you want to stop and take any pictures.
01:01:12Will do.
01:01:13Make sure you're saving film for where we're going, though.
01:01:15I want you to hang out in the frame.
01:01:34So what do you think?
01:01:36It's beautiful.
01:01:38Wait a minute.
01:01:45It can't be.
01:02:04It really is.
01:02:08How did you find this?
01:02:12I thought it looked familiar.
01:02:24Will you be in it with me?
01:02:27Yeah, sure.
01:02:31I'm never 100% sure about the timer, but we'll know when it clicks.
01:02:38Perfect.
01:02:51I've gotten some really great shots today.
01:02:54Good.
01:02:56Are you cold?
01:02:57No?
01:02:59Perfect.
01:03:02Everything's perfect.
01:03:10Have you ever made a wish on a star?
01:03:16Sure.
01:03:17What for?
01:03:18I thought if you told anyone what you wish for, it doesn't come true.
01:03:23That's birthday wishes.
01:03:25Well, yeah, I've wished for Samantha to be happy.
01:03:31I've wished for my father to stay healthy.
01:03:34And what about wishes for yourself?
01:03:36Yeah, I've made some of those too.
01:03:40And have they come true?
01:03:43Almost.
01:03:44Is it true?
01:03:47Almost.
01:04:14I should take you back before it gets too late.
01:04:23Thank you for bringing me here.
01:04:33Hey, you haven't heard from me in a while.
01:04:35Sorry, I've been a little caught up in things here.
01:04:38Oh, really? Like what?
01:04:41Like taking photos.
01:04:44Show me some.
01:04:49Is that Aiden?
01:04:51Yes.
01:04:52No wonder you've stuck around.
01:04:54Ha ha.
01:04:56Show me some more.
01:04:59Who is that?
01:05:01Uh, Porter. It's Aiden's brother.
01:05:03You're stuck on the ranch with the both of them?
01:05:06That's a good thing, right?
01:05:08You'd think so.
01:05:09What did you get yourself into?
01:05:11Do you like both brothers?
01:05:14No way.
01:05:16Really?
01:05:17Well, Porter's fun and wild, attractive, and he knows it.
01:05:22But Aiden, Aiden's so down to earth, and I feel relaxed when I'm with him.
01:05:33Like, there's some kind of connection between us.
01:05:37But I did something that I shouldn't have.
01:05:39What?
01:05:41I kissed Aiden.
01:05:42Well, he kissed me.
01:05:45That's a good thing, right?
01:05:48Complicated.
01:05:49Fine.
01:05:50Complicated.
01:05:51But now that my truck's almost fixed, I need to decide what to do.
01:05:55You can stay for as long as you want.
01:05:57I can't do that.
01:05:59I mean, why even stick around when I'm gonna have to leave eventually?
01:06:02Sarah, I would hate for you to do something you might regret.
01:06:07Exactly.
01:06:09I mean you leaving something good behind.
01:06:13But it's not my life I'm worried about here.
01:06:16I don't want to overcomplicate theirs.
01:06:18We've about picked them clean.
01:06:26That tree has some.
01:06:31Good morning.
01:06:33Morning.
01:06:36Um, thank you for last night.
01:06:39I never thought I would actually find the spot for my photo.
01:06:43You're welcome.
01:06:44I hope it helped you find some of what you were looking for.
01:06:49It did.
01:06:51Hey, we working today?
01:06:54Sorry.
01:06:56Lots to do, right?
01:06:57Yep.
01:07:00Good.
01:07:02Okay, let's see.
01:07:12You got it!
01:07:13Did you see that diagonal?
01:07:16Great job!
01:07:34Yeah, just go with the grain.
01:07:43You got it.
01:07:44You got it.
01:07:45You got it.
01:07:46Do you have it?
01:07:47No.
01:07:48No.
01:07:49No.
01:07:51No.
01:07:52No.
01:08:09You got it.
01:08:10This is my favorite chat room.
01:08:18The guests love having you here.
01:08:20And so does the staff.
01:08:22The feeling's mutual.
01:08:24With your nursing background, we'd love to have you more than just volunteer.
01:08:27If you're in the area for longer, just let us know.
01:08:31Okay.
01:08:33I will.
01:08:35They're wearing off all those boots!
01:08:53Rough day of it?
01:08:55Some of us more than others.
01:08:57I think he's a bit frustrated with that horse.
01:09:00No, I'm not frustrated with the horse.
01:09:03I'm frustrated with whoever named the horse Buttercup.
01:09:07You know, there's a horse in there named Warrior.
01:09:10Now that's a horse that matches my personality.
01:09:13If you were meant to ride a horse that matched your personality, you should be riding Mumpy.
01:09:19Here.
01:09:20Let me put him away.
01:09:22Now, about that long face.
01:09:39What's wrong, young lady?
01:09:41I wanted to feel happy and at home for a while now.
01:09:50And I do.
01:09:52Volunteering at the care facility and helping her on the ranch and hanging out with Sam and Porter.
01:09:59And Aiden?
01:10:00And Aiden.
01:10:01Everyone here feels like family.
01:10:06But I have to go.
01:10:10Is that your head talking?
01:10:13Or your heart?
01:10:15A little bit of both.
01:10:17May I join you?
01:10:18Of course.
01:10:19Do you know what's special about the stars on a clear night?
01:10:32Besides the way it lights up your pretty face?
01:10:36It's that they are constant, yet every time I look up, I see something new.
01:10:45You like surprises then.
01:10:47Only when I know about them ahead of time.
01:10:50You know, something that might surprise you about me is before this week, I don't know
01:11:00that I've ever been in love.
01:11:03I mean, I fall in love with women all the time, but I mean the kind that really knocks you over.
01:11:10The kind you feel so deeply, nothing else matters.
01:11:16You ever felt that way before?
01:11:20I think so.
01:11:25I don't want you to go.
01:11:31I don't want to either, but...
01:11:36Sorry.
01:11:41I've been a little forward.
01:11:44I just didn't want you doubting the way I feel.
01:11:47Oh, that's...
01:11:50You don't feel the same.
01:11:53At least not for me.
01:11:58It's getting late.
01:12:00I should...
01:12:01Yeah.
01:12:02Good night.
01:12:03Good night.
01:12:04You left the gate open last night.
01:12:19Any of the horses get out?
01:12:21No, because I closed it before it was too late.
01:12:24None of the horses got out.
01:12:27So what's the big deal?
01:12:30I'm just saying, you have got to be more responsible.
01:12:34Those horses could have gotten out or worse.
01:12:37It's like you're always waiting for me to clean up after you.
01:12:41We can't all be perfect like you.
01:12:44I don't get the work done when you want it done, but I get it done.
01:12:47I'm trying to remind you again and again and again and again.
01:12:50When are you going to leave me alone?
01:12:51Porter, I'm so tired of waiting on you to grow up.
01:12:54Yeah, maybe I'd grow up to get out of the way.
01:13:02Hello, this is Sarah.
01:13:04Oh.
01:13:05Hi, Ed.
01:13:15There you two are.
01:13:17I'm teaching Sarah how to fish.
01:13:18I can see that.
01:13:21I'm using your pole.
01:13:22Sorry, I should have asked.
01:13:24It's alright.
01:13:25Just put it back where you found it.
01:13:26Everything good between you and Porter?
01:13:38Guess so.
01:13:41Anything I can do to help?
01:13:44Are you coming to the festival, Sarah?
01:13:47When is it?
01:13:48Tomorrow night at the city park.
01:13:51I wish I could.
01:13:52Ed called saying my truck will be ready by tomorrow.
01:13:55So, gotta make up for lost time and get back on the road.
01:14:25What's wrong?
01:14:26The usual.
01:14:27So, this isn't about Sarah?
01:14:28No.
01:14:29Okay, yeah.
01:14:30Maybe.
01:14:32I fail to see the humor here.
01:14:34While you two are squabbling over Sarah, she's gonna leave us all, unless you do something
01:14:39about it.
01:14:41What can I do?
01:14:42When you were in second grade, your teacher called and said she was gonna put you in the lower-level reading
01:14:49group.
01:14:50Because, in her words, she didn't think you were advanced enough.
01:14:52You're bringing up my childhood shortcomings?
01:14:54Instead of giving up, you went out and read every book that you could, just to prove that teacher wrong.
01:15:01So, you're saying that, I can fix this?
01:15:02I can just ask her to stay?
01:15:03Letting fate play out its hand isn't something we ain't gonna do.
01:15:04If you were in second grade, your teacher called and said she was gonna put you in the lower-level reading
01:15:06group because, in her words, she didn't think you were advanced enough.
01:15:11You're bringing up my childhood shortcomings?
01:15:14Instead of giving up, you went out and read every book that you could, just to prove that teacher wrong.
01:15:23So, you're saying that, I can fix this? I can just ask her to stay?
01:15:28Letting fate play out its hand isn't something we Andersons do, Aiden.
01:15:32Never has been.
01:15:36Carve my own path, huh?
01:15:38That's the beauty of God's plan.
01:15:40You get to make the choices.
01:15:44You need to tell her how you feel.
01:15:47How you really feel.
01:15:50I suspect that God knows that having Sarah stay here is what's best for all of us.
01:16:10You look so beautiful.
01:16:18Just be careful not to move too much and it should hold to the festival.
01:16:23Do you have to go?
01:16:24I do.
01:16:27I knew this day would come.
01:16:30I was just hoping it wouldn't.
01:16:35Do you know where your father is?
01:16:38No.
01:16:39I just wanted to say goodbye before I left.
01:16:47Aiden.
01:16:49Hey.
01:16:50You should see how beautiful your daughter looks.
01:16:53Thanks for helping her get ready.
01:16:54Happy to.
01:16:55I wanted to tell you why I left Chicago.
01:17:02Why I really left.
01:17:07I was running away.
01:17:09Last month my, my sister married my ex-boyfriend.
01:17:18We've been dating for like a year and I thought we were in love.
01:17:22I thought he was going to marry me but he told me he was in love with my sister.
01:17:32That must have been really hard to hear.
01:17:35It was.
01:17:40It took me a while to forgive them.
01:17:44I, I left because I saw that they were happy and
01:17:49I wasn't.
01:17:53I know that sounds selfish but
01:17:58I needed to find a way to be happy too.
01:18:02And, and happy?
01:18:04That's what happened to my sister and me.
01:18:07It drove a wedge between us and I don't want to be the same for your family.
01:18:12Porter and I had our issues before you arrived.
01:18:16But I've only made them worse.
01:18:17I think it's best that I go.
01:18:30Sarah.
01:18:31Please.
01:18:37That's what you think is best.
01:18:38Ed brought it by.
01:18:52Keys and receipt are under the visor.
01:18:56So you're really doing this huh?
01:18:58I am.
01:19:00Wish you'd stay.
01:19:02We're gonna miss you.
01:19:04I'm gonna miss you guys too.
01:19:08I'm gonna miss having you as a camp neighbor neighbor.
01:19:13What is it boy?
01:19:15Charlotte.
01:19:16What?
01:19:19Henry?
01:19:23Henry, what's wrong?
01:19:25I'm fine. I'm good.
01:19:27Henry, what happened?
01:19:28It's my arm.
01:19:29Can you rotate it?
01:19:30Yeah.
01:19:31Oh.
01:19:32I think it might be broken.
01:19:33It's embarrassing.
01:19:34It was kicked by a horse at Buttercup.
01:19:36Don't straighten it.
01:19:37Keep it still and don't move it.
01:19:38I haven't been kicked by a horse in the 30 years that I've been here.
01:19:40Charlotte, do you have any ice?
01:19:42In the RV.
01:19:43Okay, we're gonna find something to immobilize your arm.
01:19:46Can you go and run and grab one of the Andresans?
01:19:48I don't, I don't want to bother them with this.
01:19:50I'll never hear the end of it.
01:19:51Father, Henry, we need to get you to the hospital.
01:19:54I haven't driven in years. Henry always drives.
01:19:57Come on, I can drive us.
01:19:58Yeah, that'll work.
01:19:59You go grab the ice and we'll head out.
01:20:14That Butch?
01:20:16Butch is a darker brown. That's Sundance.
01:20:19Guess I should tell the horses apart, huh?
01:20:22Yeah, probably a good idea.
01:20:26There's a lot of things I don't know that I should.
01:20:33Kinda like with Sarah.
01:20:35I don't know a thing about her.
01:20:38I know she's fine, she's pretty, but...
01:20:43You see her differently than I do.
01:20:45You see her for who she really is.
01:20:52And I know she doesn't feel for me what she feels for you.
01:20:56What are you getting at?
01:20:58What I'm trying to say, brother, is...
01:21:00I'm not gonna get in your way.
01:21:02Well, it's too late.
01:21:04She's leaving.
01:21:06She's leaving.
01:21:09Doesn't mean she's left yet.
01:21:14She's getting taken away.
01:21:15She's leaving.
01:21:17I don't know.
01:21:23It's just her arm.
01:21:25She seems like you're leaving....
01:21:27She's leaving.
01:21:29She's leaving.
01:21:30Right, she's leaving.
01:21:31She was terrified.
01:21:33I don't miss that, she's leaving.
01:21:34I don't miss that, right?
01:21:36I don't know if she's leaving.
01:21:38I don't know if she was.
01:21:40I don't know if she was going to do it.
01:21:42It'll just be a few minutes.
01:22:05Then you guys can go back and see me.
01:22:06Okay.
01:22:07Thank you, doctor.
01:22:08You bet.
01:22:10He's in very capable hands.
01:22:12He is such a stubborn man.
01:22:15Even after the horse kicked him, he finished shooing that horse with a broken arm.
01:22:20He's very determined.
01:22:22There's no quit in him.
01:22:24That's why I love him.
01:22:30I wish Sarah could have called.
01:22:34I know.
01:22:36Me too.
01:22:38Call her.
01:22:40I tried.
01:22:43But unfortunately, she needs to be somewhere else.
01:22:53Henry okay?
01:22:55Walter sent me as soon as you got your message.
01:22:57Just don't let him know that I told you.
01:22:59He's embarrassed enough already.
01:23:01My lips are sealed.
01:23:04I thought you left.
01:23:06I'm gonna go check on Henry.
01:23:11I am leaving.
01:23:13I just...
01:23:13Aiden's a good man, Sarah.
01:23:17I know.
01:23:18He might be rough around the edges, but...
01:23:20I think you two make a good pair.
01:23:23Plus, I don't think Sam's ready to let Dakota go.
01:23:25Porter, I can't stay.
01:23:30I don't think you should go.
01:23:32I think you found someone who surprises you just like those stars you talk about.
01:23:39I have.
01:23:41There's your answer.
01:23:45Well, whatever you decide to do,
01:23:48I count myself lucky you came into our lives.
01:24:02You okay?
01:24:03Mm-hmm.
01:24:10May I have this dance?
01:24:11You may.
01:24:12You may.
01:24:12You may.
01:24:41She came.
01:24:42I thought you'd left.
01:25:02I did.
01:25:04But I had to come back.
01:25:09Dance with me?
01:25:10There's something I need to tell you.
01:25:32You go first.
01:25:35I don't want you to go.
01:25:36That's what I was going to say.
01:25:41I'm not leaving.
01:25:43Really?
01:25:44What about your job?
01:25:46I already called the hospital, and they were okay with it.
01:25:51It's a relief, because...
01:25:53I'm not ready to go.
01:25:58I mean, if that's...
01:25:59all right with you.
01:26:00Do you remember those wishes?
01:26:10Mm-hmm.
01:26:13I wished for someone like you.
01:26:16I don't get any ideas.
01:26:29Yes, ma'am.
01:26:30I don't get any ideas.
01:26:30Yes, ma'am.
01:26:31Yes, ma'am.
01:26:34Yes.
01:26:36I'm not.
01:26:44Yes, ma'am.
01:26:45Yes.
01:26:54No.
