00:00I've done something that no one else has done before and that is actually contributed to
00:06the saving of a species that everyone, all the scientists thought was going to be extinct.
00:14The palma was not extinct, it was available in New Zealand, it had been taken there.
00:21It bred up naturally in the forests of New Zealand.
00:25And I bought it back and bred and given away 400 animals.
00:31I've always had the feeling, all of us who had the privilege of being born in Australia
00:37or arrived here and became an Australian citizen, to leave the country a little better than
00:45when we found it, when we came here.
