00:13In today's video, I'll show you how to fix the error failed to lock the main memory file,
00:18or an error occurred while restoring the virtual machine state from file.

00:24First, go to the Window Error message, then copy this file path shown in that message.
00:29Next, open File Explorer, and paste that path into the address bar.
00:41Now, remove everything after your VMware virtual machine's folder name, leaving just that folder path, then press Enter.
00:49Inside that folder, look for any subfolder ending with .lck that has the same name as the one shown in the error message window.
00:56Once you find it, simply delete the .lck folder.
01:14Finally, try opening your virtual machine again, and that's it.
