00:00Gentlemen, remember the instructions in the dress room,
00:07right one, cleave fight, toss glove, good luck.
00:10So who do you like?
00:12The Nigerian Italian Black Panther or the American Italian White Magic?
00:20What a nickname, White Magic.
00:22You could be White Magic, Todd.
00:24How about Magic Mike Coppages?
00:26There you go.
00:27There you go.
00:29All right, scheduled for 10 rounds.
00:31Vito Milnicki Jr. in the white and black.
00:34Samuel and Moa in the gold and white.
00:41Starting off, it's going to be the battle of the jabs.
00:44Both these guys have nice, stiff jabs.
00:47Who's going to alternate it better?
00:49Who's going to disguise the jab to land harder and cleaner
00:53and start breaking down that defense and high guard that both carry?
00:57Milnicki has faced adversity before in his ninth pro fight.
01:01He lost an eight-round majority decision to James Martin,
01:04but he was only 18 years old at the time.
01:07Since then, he's perfect.
01:0921-1 overall.
01:11Yeah, and he was never able to avenge that loss, Todd.
01:15He had an immediate rematch set, and then Martin came in eight pounds overweight.
01:19Oh, Vito threw that right-handed just off the line was Momoa.
01:24Yeah, majority decision lost there by Milnicki.
01:28It's a shame to blemish your record like that, never get that rematch.
01:31But this just goes to show an early loss in your career isn't as devastating as it once was.
01:38A high-profile bout here for Milnicki.
01:42And almost another blemish earlier this year.
01:45Vito Milnicki had a draw in February with Connor Coyle,
01:48later changed to a no contest.
01:49Connor Coyle failed the drug test.
01:53Supero Matias also failing a drug test early this week.
01:56Mike, I think you broke the news online.
01:58What's this do for his career?
01:59Yes, Todd.
02:00Did break the news.
02:01Matias is going to have to wait for his B sample now to be tested,
02:03and that January fight title defense against Salton Smith in serious jeopardy now.
02:08It's a damn shame with that because Subriel Matias was, you know, there to be the boogeyman.
02:13I nicknamed him the boogeyman.
02:14And since that Puerto Rican fight, he lost his title,
02:17and everything's been going downhill and down south.
02:19Yeah, well, hey, you lose to Liam Parr,
02:21maybe that's why he turned perhaps to some performing enhancing drugs.
02:25Liam Parr is a hell of a fighter, hell of a boxer.
02:29Don't forget, Matias coming off a great win in July
02:31on another Ring Magazine card against Alberto Pueyo.
02:37As for Milnicki Jr., a very good amateur fighter, trained by his father.
02:44In fact, his first competitive bout was at the age of seven.
02:47He was too young to compete, so his father doctored his paperwork so he'd get in the ring.
02:52Yeah, his father's a colorful character, Todd.
02:55Boxing promoter.
02:56I've actually covered a couple of fights promoted by his dad.
02:58Not a guy you want to mess with.
03:00Yeah, four-time Junior National Golden Gloves champion,
03:03Rabito Milnicki Jr.
03:05Milnicki with a stabbing jab right to the torso.
03:08That's what I want to see.
03:09Jabbing upstairs and downstairs.
03:12Mix it up with that jab because it is going to be that lead hand
03:15that's going to break down and set up the bigger shots by both fighters.
03:1910 seconds.
03:22Good uppercut there from Samuel.
03:24Yeah, dangerous punch to throw as a lead punch, but if you get away with it, it's good.
03:30Stop! Stop! Stop! Stop!
03:32Stop! Stop! Stop!
03:34Stop! Stop! Stop!
03:35Stop!
03:44I'm following a feeling, tripping on my spine, that I should get a little more from this light.
03:51Cripping up my spine
03:53That I should get a little more from this life
03:57A feeling
03:58In the middle of the night
04:01That I should be chasing
04:03I can roll those eyes
04:05It's a feeling
04:06In the middle of the night
04:08Okay?
04:13Keep dumping and tripping in the jail, boy.
04:15But look, when you get close, I need combinations, boy.
04:18Not one shot, okay?
04:19There's got to be combinations.
04:21More jabs, says the great Ronnie Shields
04:23In the corner of Vito Milnicki, double and triple up the jabs.
04:26And like I said initially, this is going to be a battle of the jabs
04:29To start off this fight.
04:31And that's what's going to actually separate one fighter from the other.
04:34Who's going to start busting up the other with that lead left hand?
04:39Milnicki has got a nice jab there as well.
04:42He's been around the world perfecting his craft.
04:44He's competed in Canada, Serbia, Spain, England, Puerto Rico.
04:48And now here in Saudi Arabia.
04:50I love seeing that in your road warrior like that.
04:53Seeing different faces in different locations.
04:57Back to that jab, guys.
04:58I'm telling you, this is a prime example of two really good fighters
05:02where the basics, it's all going to come down to the ABCs of boxing.
05:07And the jab, the right hand, the left hook.
05:09Nothing tricky, nothing creative, nothing out of the ordinary.
05:14Look at the back muscles on Samuel Momoa.
05:16Oh, good check.
05:17Hook there by Milnicki.
05:19All his muscles, quite frankly, he is shredded.
05:22Oh, nice follow-up with the jab, the right hand.
05:29And Milnicki really shining here in round two.
05:32Beautiful combination.
05:34Milnicki can really use some cheering up.
05:36He's a diehard Jets fan.
05:38We know how that season is going right now.
05:40Yeah, not well.
05:42Have they won a game?
05:44They might have won one.
05:44Maybe one.
05:45That just means you get a better draft pick.
05:48At this point, they should just tank.
05:52Good shot there by MoMA.
05:56MoMA turned pro when Milnicki was 14 years old.
06:00That was back in 2016.
06:02Beat Slajan Drogic.
06:06I'm sure a household name.
06:09Again, that right hand on the money just missed with the uppercut.
06:11I noticed that any time Milnicki throws an uppercut or a hook
06:18and MoMA tries to throw the exact same punch and mirror Beatle Milnicki.
06:23Oh, and they both throw hooks.
06:25They're both exchanging the exact same punchers.
06:27They're similar in height, in stature, and in combinations.
06:31Is that just a habit that he may not know about?
06:35Maybe.
06:35Maybe it's a habit that he doesn't know about,
06:37or it's just that he's doing it, you know, instinctively.
06:40And what would you do if you saw that and your opponent was copying what you do?
06:44I would love that.
06:45I would faint and throw something out of ordinary, like a left hook.
06:50Actually, Brian Norman Jr. mentioned that in an interview,
06:52saying that he saw that in Jin Sasaki, that he was emulating every punch.
06:56And Norman Jr. really impressed me with the intelligence of what he said.
06:59He said, I set him up with a fake jab downstairs and came around with a left hook.
07:03And, of course, we all know what happened.
07:05Fight of the year.
07:05I mean, knockout of the year type.
07:07Norman called it the knockout of the decade.
07:09If you haven't seen it, look it up.
07:12I'm sure we'll show it here a little later on.
07:14And you can see Milton Nicky's looking for that left hook as well.
07:17He's setting up with a jab down to the belly.
07:19Try to get the, and Momo to start pawing at that, at that body shot.
07:24Where he can come around the guard.
07:28There we go.
07:28Nice jab by Dito.
07:29Let's go.
07:50There's that jab lead right hand breaking the guard that right hand would have been more
08:10devastating if he led the front foot getting a little bit closer I mean this is a game of inches
08:16and that was one inch away from being a devastating right hand but it will be there
08:21again for Vito Milnicki just needs to be patient and stay behind that jab
08:26a lot of times fighters from foreign countries coming with glossy records like Momoa with 21-0 and
08:44you kind of look deeper into their resume Sergio 13 of his 21 opponents had non-winning records that's
08:51another red flag the fact that all your fights have been in one country your own and then you
08:57know fighting losing records these are all red flags you gotta break down the numbers and look
09:01behind the opponents who have you been fighting and who have they been fighting
09:04oh a left hand while they were clinching the referee will give Vito a talking to
09:13that was actually a good move by Vito you know he tried to get an angle on him and uh took advantage
09:18of the flat feet of in Momoa he just so happened to be it during a clinch but I would want to see
09:23Vito try that again get an angle on those wide shoulders up in Momoa maybe he won't even see
09:30the punches coming behind the the size of his shoulder good shots there right yeah you know Vito
09:39scoring almost at will he seems much more cultured in there because of that extensive amateur record
09:47Mike 147 wins 22 losses and you look at his corner I mean Ronnie Shields one of the best trainers in the
09:53game former pro boxer trained Pernell Whitaker to all those titles one of the greatest fighters
09:58of all time and he's trained everybody Mike Tyson Vernon Forrest I mean Ronnie Shields it's a great
10:04trainer period and yes that was for Max Kellerman we had to give Max a Pernell Whitaker shout out
10:09shout out to Max good jab there by Momoa you can catch Max oh nice right hand then a body shot
10:18following up here for Vito you can catch Max and Mike Coppager on the ring magazine show every Monday
10:24on DAZN you know Nicky needs to worry on speed right now he's loading up too much on punches you know and
10:32he's looking for the knockout that's great but do it behind speed right now break down a stubborn
10:38fighter in in Momoa who's undefeated he's not accustomed to losing so so break him down with speed
10:43bust him up with that jab soften him up with body shots and then you can go for the knockout you got
10:49a lot of time left you got a 10-round fight
10:51you know Nicky with just over 50% KO power 12 knockouts in his 21 wins
10:59Momoa's got to change something up
11:02and Vito's sparred over 100 rounds he said with former two-division champion Jamal Charlo
11:11Sergio how much does that help you in a fight like this oh man that's championship sparring
11:15I mean anytime you're dealing with a great trainer like Ronnie uh you're gonna have great boxers
11:20in your stable you got to take advantage of that just like Bram Rodriguez and
11:23and Robert Garcia you know they have the best sparring because they have the best fighters in that stable
11:28Vito wants to land that right hand in the worst way doesn't he yes he does but he's loading up too much
11:40like I said earlier focus on speed it will be there
11:43well ladies and gentlemen BKFC returns to DAZN live from Florida BKFC 85 Austin Trout former boxing world champion
12:04fought Canelo taking on Luis Palomino that's a rematch at the Heart Rock Hotel Saturday December 5th
12:10I need three four five punches goals okay and look start looking at the body sometimes
12:16Vito Melnicki on the front foot there's that angle that he got you know if the referee didn't say break
12:23that actually would have been a legal shot because he caught an angle landed that jab
12:29beautiful jab right there that right now just missed cleanly right there but Vito's going in the right direction right now
12:39getting getting closer and closer landing the big shot big punches are gonna hurt and MoMA
12:44yeah Sergio you mentioned Alcalo last week last fight you like to see Melnicki being violent in there right
12:50punching on the break as Teddy Atlas says no silent agreements
12:53you know what yeah you you want to see a young fighter have that mean streak you know you can't teach that bad intention
13:01even if it's borderline I hate to say illegal borderline dirty you know just let the referee call it dirty you if you can get away with it
13:09show that you can you can have another another gear to say
13:16thinking about other Nigerian fighters historically most of all of them come from the heavyweight division of course
13:23Samuel Peter WBC champ I could be a Bucci remember him and he fought Chris Bird and David Tua was derailed by legal issues
13:32Henry Akinwande Anthony Joshua Bourne's the Nigerian parents nice right hand there from Vito
13:39oh yeah the Panthers hurt oh yeah he put his hand up to steady himself on the ropes
13:42this could be the beginning of the end of Samuel Momoa
13:45yeah he's out he's out right now he hasn't had his legs under him
13:48right hand to the temple again you can see the look on his face he just looks perplexed
13:53yes he does now Nicky should go to the body right now good upper body movement for at MoMA right now dig down to the body
13:59and then those head shots would open up again but stay on him
14:03oh caught him on the right hand again that should have been a knockdown the ropes kept him up
14:06the referee taking a real good look at him
14:09absolutely that should have been a knockdown Todd
14:12Vito Milnecki Jr. on the biggest stage of his career is putting on perhaps his best performance
14:18and it'll be the best win of his career with an undefeated 21-0 fighter and in MoMA
14:24talk about this is his third fight at 160 that's a division Sergio that's wide open
14:29and he feels off the weight nicely at six foot you know this is gonna be the weight division for Vito Milnecki going forward
14:36Vito wanted the knockout and he came so close to getting it there here in the fourth round
14:43he'll come around again I like the patience that Milnecki is showing
14:50and of course Momoa's never lost he's to my knowledge not really been any serious trouble
14:56so this is all new to him and you saw him glance over earlier in his corner almost like what do I do
15:01and he just clinched up as best he could
15:07you can see that in MoMA strong he's not a power puncher you know he doesn't have a high knockout ratio
15:12but you can see that he's a strong guy and that's really able he was able to be resilient enough
15:16to shake off those cow webs and being hurt
15:19Moa has no answer for that jab that keeps scoring and that's what Milnecki should keep doing
15:30keep that shotgun jab in front of the face of a MoMA punch into the chest the belly and dig down to the body
15:38and dig down to the body
15:57...
16:03...
16:05...
16:07Okay, this is your shield, this is your shield.
16:11But return, go to the top.
16:14You don't know Nicky looking for a way to break and pierce the guard of En-MOMA,
16:19going around the guard with a straight right hand, right on the tip of the chin.
16:23And you're right, Todd, that probably should have been a knockdown
16:25if it wasn't for the ropes that held up Tamio En-MOMA in that punch.
16:30Nice clean shot.
16:32The knees gave out right away on En-MOMA.
16:36Corners, 10 seconds.
16:38But he recovered nicely because of his conditioning and strong legs.
16:42We'll see if Vito Milnicki can get him in that position again.
16:45Round five.
16:48How patient would you be now if you're Vito, Sergio, or would you go right after him?
16:51No, you still got half a fight left.
16:53You still keep busting him up with that jab.
17:01Milnicki's been in the game a long time.
17:03His amateur success.
17:04His pro debut occurred just three months after attending his junior prom.
17:09Born to fight.
17:12So what would your advice be to Momoa now to try and turn the tide here?
17:25By my record, he's probably lost the first four rounds.
17:28Yeah.
17:29Every time Vito throws a jab, I will come back with two jabs.
17:33If you're in MoMA, you got to get your own jab started as well.
17:37Through four rounds, you can see the stats here.
17:41Milnicki Jr. has landed 32 power punches, 76.
17:44Who got shot?
17:45Was that a knockdown?
17:46That should be a knockdown, guys.
17:47That should be a knockdown.
17:48That was a clean right hand landed by Momoa.
17:50The referee says no.
17:52We'll see the replay in between rounds.
17:54The ref got it wrong.
17:55That was a clean shot to the left side of the head of Milnicki.
17:59Maybe the referee felt it was behind the head.
18:03Either way, a ray of sunshine for Momoa.
18:06Milnicki got away with the one in there.
18:08That was a clean knockdown.
18:09You can see that kind of shook him a little bit
18:11because he hasn't really thrown a punch since then.
18:13There's a right hand.
18:14Good body shot by Momoa.
18:16That might have caught the attention of Vito Milnicki with that body shot.
18:20Yeah, he is circling away now for really the first time in this fight.
18:23A great comeback round here for the Nigerian who lives in Italy.
18:27Yeah, and it was in May, Todd, that Nigerian heavyweight Efe Ajogba
18:33scored a draw and an upset against Martin Bacoli.
18:36Those people thought he won.
18:38He's in the Ring Magazine Top 10.
18:39This is in Momoa's chance.
18:41Vito Milnicki got hurt to the body,
18:43and maybe that chopping right hand, that should have been a knockdown.
18:46He's hurt right now.
18:51Maybe shaking off the cow webs, not letting his hands go,
18:54is Vito Milnicki on the back foot now.
18:56I don't know if Momoa realizes it, but this is his time to really put it in another gear.
19:03Yeah, right when things seem really bad for Momoa,
19:06he answers with his best round of the fight here in the fifth.
19:09Not really a power puncher.
19:15Five knockouts in his 21 wins.
19:17Momoa.
19:18It goes to show you that, you know, muscles don't translate to power.
19:27Because Samuel and Momoa look...
19:29That's just something non-muscular guys say.
19:31Well, I'm non-muscular.
19:33That's why you said it.
19:35No, but it's true though.
19:36It doesn't translate to power.
19:38Sometimes the skinniest, skinniest guys are the most devastating punchers.
19:42No, you're born with power, but then you can actually, you know,
19:47get the right amount of torque and twist and land with the clean shot.
19:50It still does damage you.
19:58I'm talking right here.
19:59Huh?
20:00A little bit.
20:01You're right here there?
20:02Okay.
20:04That's the thing, baby.
20:05That's the thing.
20:07Listen.
20:08So, that goes more with the left.
20:10That's all we got to do.
20:11Is stay in control.
20:12You got to control the mound.
20:14Control the mound.
20:17And look at this right hand.
20:19Oh, it was a bite.
20:20Hit him with the bicep.
20:21That was a right call.
20:22Right call by the referee.
20:24It wasn't a clean punch.
20:26Had it cuffed him, right?
20:27It cuffed him and hit him with the bicep.
20:32Impressive call by the referee right there.
20:33It's hard to really get that right angle.
20:36But that landed right there.
20:39Clean right hook.
20:41Around the wide shoulders of Emomo.
20:46Second down.
20:48Round six.
20:50It's a shame we didn't get to see that body shot in slow motion
20:53because I think that caught the attention of Vito Milnicki
20:55and that's the reason he was backing up and not punching for a good minute.
21:00Milnicki said in the corner that he hurt his right hand.
21:02Ronnie Shields said,
21:03Alright, we're going to have to do it with the left.
21:04That's the way to go.
21:05That's the way to go.
21:06That's the way a mind frame of a fighter should be.
21:10Good instructions from Ronnie.
21:12And like I said, Ronnie's trained some of the greatest fighters in boxing.
21:18It's a tough sport.
21:19You know, you got two hands.
21:20You got injured one, go with the other one.
21:21Trained Arturo Gatti.
21:22That hoop ball with a broken hand one against Mickey Ward.
21:24Still throwing the right is Milnicki, but you've got to believe he's not putting 100% behind it.
21:29But Sergio, I'm sure you know this.
21:33A lot of fighters who injure their hand in a fight, it takes a few rounds before maybe it becomes numb and you can start using it again.
21:39Yeah.
21:40Yeah.
21:41And adrenaline kicks in as well.
21:42I mean, it's fight or flight.
21:43So you can fight through the injury.
21:46Yeah, it's already broken, right?
21:48Possibly or bruised.
21:49Yeah, that's when you just got to, you know, punch with an open hand.
21:53You know, you just got to start not closing your fist because the more you tighten up your fist, the more it's going to hurt.
22:02Good left hook there and a right hand from Momoa.
22:04And he's backing Vito up.
22:07And Momoa is sensing that something is wrong.
22:10He doesn't know that Milnicki has a hurt hand, but he senses something's up.
22:15I don't think we saw Milnicki really back up much at all in the first four rounds, right?
22:23It was all in the front foot.
22:25Vito Milnicki totally in control.
22:27The jab busting him up, hurting in Momoa.
22:30But we see the resilience coming back from the Nigerian fighter.
22:35Being warned for using his forehead was Milnicki.
22:45He was having a lot of success early on, especially in round three.
22:55But Momoa has bounced back rather nicely, made this competitive.
22:59back up!
23:00Turn it in front of my eyes.
23:02No!
23:03Oh!
23:04Oh!
23:06Oh!
23:07Oh!
23:08Oh!
23:09Malnicki Jr. was hoping to make the 2020 US Olympic team, but turned pro after losing on a controversial
23:12Oh!
23:13Good shot!
23:14Overseas!
23:15And Momoa landed a clean left hook.
23:18Lifted Milnicki from his heels.
23:20That was a big shot.
23:22Yes!
23:24Mike it almost feels like a Japan type of crowd here very quiet I don't know
23:30we're sold out yeah very respectful crowd we did hear the crowd get pretty
23:34loud for the two Saudi fighters but hopefully we can get some fireworks to
23:38wake them up a good shot there by Vito no Nikki short chopping right hook and it
23:45is 1 40 in the morning local time good right hand there from Vito
23:54and look who's here Brian Norman jr ladies and gentlemen the WBO champion at 147 pounds
24:10Sergio you've watched all the tape how dangerous of a puncher is he they don't
24:14call him the assassin for nothing I mean this is a man that carries bricks in both
24:19hands confident has momentum going for him but see he has athleticism as well
24:25the man could box but he can take you out with one shot as well but yeah this is
24:31the first time for Norman fighting on this kind of stage Devin Haney's been here so
24:35many times before he facility Lomachenko in a thriller in Vegas a couple of years
24:39ago and you could see it in his face Devin Haney jr he knows he's been here
24:43before calm cool the champ is collected but he's in it tonight with a big puncher and champion
24:51in Norman jr shout out to box raw for some of the best fight gear in the game yeah Devin
24:57Haney why would he be intimidated he's already been in there with Jorge Linares Lomachenko I
25:02mean this guy has been under the bright lights for years now but it's a new division 147 pounds his
25:09last fight Mike was at a catch weight that's right and I think Devin Haney is actually going
25:13to be bigger and stronger at 147 these have been really brutal weight cuts for him 10 straight
25:18fights for Devin that have gone the distance and that's the question a lot of a lot of people in
25:25boxing have is the can you really get power the higher you go in weight I mean he wasn't a puncher
25:31at 35 or 40 a lot of people are skeptical that he's gonna have power at welterweight what do you
25:36say I don't think you get power like that if you didn't have it at 135 you're certainly not gonna
25:41have it going up in weight but he didn't make a career being a power puncher so it doesn't matter
25:46it's not common but you have seen it before Crawford was a good puncher at 35 and 40 at 47
25:51he knocked out every single opponent I think it was eight or nine of them and had Canelo in real
25:56trouble in the late rounds in Las Vegas a few months ago yeah that's a great great point Mike
26:00except exception to every rule
26:02as for this fight Melnicki Jr. complaining a couple rounds ago that he hurt his right hand in the corner
26:11and since then he has not been as dominant as he was in some of the early rounds I like the way
26:17you know Nick's stabbing the body now with that jab
26:19see there it is right there changing levels with the two yeah going up going down I don't know if
26:27that's his hurt hand but if it is maybe he wants to hit a softer target and that's the belly
26:32but since he hasn't thrown the right hand I would assume it's a right hand that he hurt yeah that's
26:42what he said to his trainer Melnicki Jr. a native of Belleville New Jersey son of the promoter
26:49Nito Melnicki Jr. or senior rather who guided into so much amateur success
26:54now as a pro handing the reins over to Ronnie Shields
26:58that's not easy for for fathers to do Mike
27:01a lot of them want to say though I got him here I'm going to keep
27:04yeah we have a lot of fathers tonight training their sons
27:07Bill Haney, Jose Benavidez Sr.
27:10Brian
27:10Brian Norman Sr.
27:12Yep
27:12it takes a lot for fathers to do that but if they actually do
27:15it's actually better in my opinion for fighters to let them you know grow on their own
27:20like Virgil Ortiz Jr. for example
27:23Melnicki's trainer Ronnie Shields said he's been very impressed with his fighters work ethic
27:30he said if they gave out titles for work ethics he'd already be a champion but obviously they do not
27:35oh good shot there's that right hook again
27:39yeah Vito holding on
27:40you know he's looking for one thing don't worry about him
27:43let's go buddy
27:43I'd like to see a moment throw that right hook to the body that's going to actually open up that right hook upstairs
27:50by by throwing it downstairs getting Melnicki to think you know he's going to the ribs
27:55then you can loop it up top
27:56let's go
27:57let's go
27:57let's go
27:57let's go
27:57let's go
27:59let's go
28:01let's go
28:03let's go
28:05let's go
28:07let's go
28:08let's go
28:09how are we feeling
28:11okay now listen
28:12this way you got to separate yourself right here
28:17this way out here
28:18separate yourself from this guy
28:20I want
28:21double the jab
28:22right here
28:23hook right here
28:23right behind it
28:24or double the jab
28:25sweep it right here
28:26big names here in the house
28:28Eddie Hearn
28:29Conor Benn
28:30Frank Warren of course
28:31his excellency
28:32Turkey
28:32Al Alshig
28:33you think Eddie's still smarting from that five on five last year here in Saudi
28:43where all his fighters lost
28:44he was I think he's feeling pretty good right now after his big win one week ago in London
28:49Conor Benn domination against Chris Eubank Jr.
28:52and if you're Mill Nick you keep stabbing that body you've had a lot of success you know landing with accuracy
29:08down to the bell and you can see that in moment now is going with that jab downstairs too
29:12and Mike back to that Conor Benn win over Chris Eubank Jr.
29:16a lot of people saying wait Eubank Jr. just looked completely weight drained exhausted
29:22he did look himself
29:23what do you make of it
29:24was it more Conor Benn being great
29:25or Eubank Jr. being depleted
29:27yeah look
29:27you hate to take credit away from somebody that has such a good performance right
29:30Conor Benn
29:31way different approach than the first fight
29:33much more disciplined
29:34didn't get reckless
29:35feints
29:35footwork
29:36thought that was a real quality win
29:38and it reminded us why he was such a highly touted prospect not too long ago
29:41history doesn't remember weight drains
29:45you know they remember winners
29:46and Conor Benn you know he did what he had to do
29:48and he's back in the limelight now
29:50I think a lot of people remember Oscar De La Hoya being weight drained
29:53when he lost to Manny Pacquiao
29:55that was the most glaring example I can recall
29:57yeah but that was the end of his career
29:58you know last fight
29:59that's how great fighters normally exit their great career
30:04you know on the stool
30:05oh big right hand from Milnicki
30:07and you wonder if his hand wasn't hurt
30:09would that have been a knockdown type of blow
30:11to his credit though
30:16Momoa has been rocked in this fight
30:19but has not gone down
30:20and both these guys still
30:25fencing with that jab
30:27this is an evenly matched fight
30:31and that's what
30:32good right hand there by Milnicki
30:34that's what happens when you have evenly matched fights
30:37you know you gotta find a way
30:38to break through the guard
30:39get the big shots landed
30:41and everything's with that lead punch
30:43oh boy
30:47again it was that forearm
30:51that seemed to hit Milnicki from Momoa
30:52the one that dropped him earlier
30:54and the referee wisely said that was not a knockdown
30:56I would like to see foot feints by either of these fighters
31:01that would actually get the other guy to throw a punch
31:03and then maybe you can counter off that
31:05that's the importance of a foot feint
31:07that's the importance of getting your opponent to punch
31:09when he doesn't want to punch
31:10you're in control of it with those feints
31:13but if you're jabbing
31:15and
31:15and
31:16and letting
31:17letting your opponent know that
31:19that you're telling the truth every time
31:20you're not feeling anyone
31:22and Momoa might be
31:26yeah I was wondering
31:26did that hurt him a little bit
31:28seems off kilter
31:29yeah he shook a little bit
31:30you can see the bounce on his legs
31:31they're stiff
31:32yep
31:32Milnicki starting to bust up
31:35in Moa now
31:36you see blood coming out of the mouth
31:38his right eyes busted up
31:39there's an opportunity for Vito Milnicki to really pick it up
31:43his opponent's hurt
31:44whether he knows it or not
31:45he's in great shape
31:46that's the reason he's hiding it
31:47yeah he just doesn't seem to be able to get his foundation right
31:51oh and a leaping left hook from Milnicki
31:54as Momoa had his hands by his waist
31:56and he ate another one
31:57and boy he's barely going to make it to the end of this round
31:59ah and Momoa's hurt on his feet right now
32:09everything is good
32:11everything is good
32:13everything is good
32:14that's what we need
32:15we just need you moving your hands
32:17okay
32:18number nine coming up
32:19moving that head moving your hands
32:20okay
32:21when you're not punching
32:22I don't want you on the line
32:23I want your head moving
32:24okay
32:25step this way step that way
32:26and when you're going back in
32:28open hand you're punching
32:29it's a combination
32:30okay
32:31look
32:33when you throw the right hand
32:34bring the hook back
32:35when you throw the hook
32:36bring the right hand back
32:37okay
32:38you got to keep a number
32:39three
32:40Zito Milnicki
32:42doubling that jab
32:43coming around with the
32:44over top
32:45over the hand
32:46chopping right hand
32:47landed cleanly on that Momoa
32:49and back to the jab
32:51but you got to keep your opponents hurt
32:52when you land a clean shot like that
32:54and if they didn't ricochet off the shoulder
32:56that would have done more damage
32:58but Milnicki
32:59the tide is turning
33:01landing clean shots of the body up top
33:03there's an important round for Milnicki
33:05to really put in another gear
33:06and try to get Imoma out of there
33:08it's an important round for Momoa too
33:10to survive
33:11but it may not be good enough to survive
33:12Mike
33:13how many rounds do you think Momoa's won in this fight?
33:15probably two or at most
33:17maybe three
33:18but
33:19solid advice from Ronnie Shields in the corner
33:21you hear him telling Vito
33:22to move his head off the center line
33:24when he's throwing his punches
33:25and I believe that's because Imoma
33:27is trying to time with that right hand
33:29over Vito's left hook or jab
33:33you know Vito would love to score a knockout here
33:36he's number six ranked in the world by the WBO
33:39a sensational performance or finish here
33:41might propel him up the rankings
33:43and earn him a world title shot
33:45like Mike said this division pretty wide open
33:48I mean
33:50the best fighter in the division clearly right now
33:52Janabek
33:53Alan Connolly
33:54gonna be fighting Arizona Dilara next month
33:56in a middleweight title unification
33:58we got Carlos Adamas who's fought here before
34:00had a draw with Hamza Shiraz
34:02still using that jab
34:08Ismail Nikki
34:09referee says hey keep fighting
34:12round and a half to go
34:15in this middleweight battle
34:19the Nigerian who's lived in Italy since he was 11 years old
34:24taking on the Italian American from Belleville, New Jersey
34:28look when you're an Italian fighting out of New Jersey
34:33you could become a big time attraction
34:35they've already put Vito out a few times in Jersey
34:37and in New York City
34:45I think Mill Nikki
34:46could come around the guard on the left hook
34:48he's throwing enough jabs to the belly
34:50where he can faint a jab to the belly
34:52and come around the guard
34:53and Imoma will fall for it right now
34:55we'd love to see Mill Nikki Jr.
34:57if you got a title opportunity
34:58maybe have it in Atlantic City
35:02Arturo Gatti did so well there
35:04as Mamoa spits blood out
35:12Sergio how is distracting is that as a fighter
35:14when you're drinking your own blood in there
35:16happens a lot
35:17you get accustomed to it
35:18I mean it happens since you're
35:20since you're a teenager
35:22you know you've been sparring bloodied up
35:24usually swallow it
35:26swallow your own blood
35:27hey some fighters might even like the taste of it
35:29right
35:30Tyson Fury was licking it off the Oscar Wilder's face
35:32this crowd waiting for something big to happen
35:45there's that jab back downstairs
35:47oh good shot
35:48yeah
35:49MoMA's hurt guys
35:50again just like last round
35:51MoMA's hurt
35:52here
35:53this is the time for Mill Nikki
35:54speed
35:55get the combinations going
35:56and MoMA is out on his feet
36:01another big right hand on it
36:02and down goes MoMA
36:04and Im not sure he's going to be able to continue
36:06he's in bad shape
36:09that's all heart and spirit
36:10but his corner better
36:12they better be concerned for Samuel MoMA
36:14he might be too brave for his own good
36:16his feet are out
36:18and they stopped it
36:19Vito Mill Nikki Jr. with a sensational
36:22ninth round stoppage here in Riyadh
36:25great call by the referee
36:27because his own team
36:28and MoMA's own team
36:29was going to go out
36:30and let him get slaughtered
36:31and MoMA was out on his feet
36:33yeah you have to log the killer instincts there from Vito
36:36it seemed like MoMA was about to go down
36:38and Vito came up and fired another shot
36:41to make sure of it
36:42the 13th knockout of his career
36:46and it comes on the biggest stage of his career
36:49as Vito Mill Nikki Jr. improves to 22-1
36:53and who knows
36:55maybe a title opportunity in his next fight
36:57if not then
36:58certainly with another victory
37:00he would be one of the fighters to look at
37:03let's watch this finish again
37:13Vito Mill Nikki Jr. had Samuel
37:15and MoMA hurt several times Sergio in this fight
37:18this time he didn't let him off the hook
37:20oh that was a beautiful well timed shot
37:22dipping that left hand
37:23coming across the guard
37:25and MoMA was already hurt from earlier
37:28that just reminded him of how buzzed he was
37:30out on his feet
37:31El Nikki came around the guard
37:33and went for the kill
37:34and that's exactly what Ronnie Shields wanted
37:37patience
37:38take your time
37:39and that was a feed down and a knockout
37:41and credit to the referee
37:42for stopping this fight
37:44yeah great stopping by the ref Sergio
37:47and you were calling for just that
37:48punching around the guard
37:49coming around the guard
37:50because the straight shots were landing to the gut now
37:53so it was only a matter of time for a moment of fall
37:55fall for the looping shots
37:57around the guard
37:58and that punch right there would have done even more damage
38:00if it landed
38:01that left foot that missed
38:02that right hand handed cleanly
38:04that's a feed down
38:07getting hit with every shot in the book
38:09and that's what you don't want to see
38:11whenever you have fighters hurt
38:13and their heads bounce off the canvas
38:15that's a bad sign to let them continue
38:18again I gotta commend the referee for stopping this fight
38:21yeah and then MoMA is all heart
38:24he was actually protesting a bit
38:26as he was wobbling back to his corner
38:29well the future of heavyweight boxing
