00:05series in television history. This marks the hugely popular internet star's first traditional
00:10TV series. The project, titled Beast Games, will feature 1,000 contestants competing for
00:15a $5 million cash payout. The prize is touted as the biggest single prize in the history of
00:20television and streaming. Sources say Amazon outbid at least one major streaming rival to
00:25make the deal with MrBeast, aka Jimmy Donaldson, who is the most popular content creator on
00:29YouTube. Donaldson also negotiated the right to retain creative control of the production.
00:34He said in a statement,
00:35My goal is to make the greatest show possible and prove YouTubers and creators can succeed on other
00:40platforms. Amazon gave me the creative control I need to try and make it happen. I hope to make
00:45the YouTube community proud. MrBeast will serve as the show's host and an executive producer for the
00:49show, which will stream on Prime Video. Previously, the first season of Squid Game The Challenge on
00:54Netflix set the record for biggest reality TV payout with its $4.56 million prize.
