00:07They care about affordability.

00:08If that's the case, why was Trump campaigning so strongly on this and not affordability?

00:14He did mention it every so often on the campaign trail.

00:17It was a, it was a, it was a, every so often, this was a big platform.

00:20It really was not.

00:21I object to that premise.

00:23I have actually gone back and reviewed it there.

00:24And it really was not like this was like, this is like a typical line in the, in the 2024 election.

00:29You had Donald Trump say it every so often there.

00:32You had other folks say it every so often as well.

00:34This is not a major plank of the Trump Vance 2024 platform.

00:37It absolutely was not.

00:38That is revisionist history at its finest.

00:40Okay.

00:41Look, this has been a self-inflicted wound.

00:43This is, this has been a major sore spot, a black eye on this administration.

00:47I am not here to apologize for the way this administration has handled this.

00:50I think there've been a lot of errors made.

00:52And what I've said on my show repeatedly is that the Donald Trump should have an oval office sit down,

00:56or look into the camera and just level with the American people and say very clearly what has happened here.

01:01Will there be accountability for what steps were mishandled?

01:04What went wrong?

01:05How are we going to rectify it, et cetera?

01:06I think that transparency at this point is certainly a very, very good course of action.

01:10And I was happy to see his flip-flop of sorts on Sunday evening heading into this week.

01:14So there's a lot that I think he could do to try to clean this up.

01:17But I totally object to the notion this was like a major plank.

01:20He wouldn't have won the seven swing states if he was campaigning on the Epstein files.

01:24He was campaigning on 9.1% inflation from the Biden administration reaching in the summer of 2022.

01:31And the fact that there were millions and millions and millions of unvetted criminal aliens making their way into this country,

01:36MS-13, rape gangs, things like that.

01:38That is what won Donald Trump the election, okay?

01:40Not the Epstein files.

01:41That's revisionist history at its finest.
