A band from Youngstown, Ohio. Their vibrant, aggressive costumed concerts attracted not only residents of Cleveland, where they lived and performed, but also visiting guests. The band members had a blast, dressing in silver suits, fishnet pants, and fishnet dresses, painting their faces, and goofing around on stage. But they also knew their stuff and demonstrated an energy unheard of at the time. At the end of 1972, they signed a contract with Polydor Records. After the album's release, Left End toured extensively. Audiences were speechless, and major music magazines vociferously professed their love. Everything seemed perfect until Polydor began reorganizing in 1975 and fired some of the band's staff. As a result, the band returned to their hometown, where they spent several more years performing. The band eventually disappeared from the scene, although in recent years they have re-emerged, playing to small but sold-out crowds.
