00:10And now, as we see right here, this contest is scheduled for one fall.

00:36Lord Alfred Hayes for Canadian Strongest Man, Dino Bravo, but he is really power personified.
00:43Oh, he really is.
00:44What a foe.
00:45What an opponent he is to have in the ring opposite you.
00:48And there, with the mouth of the South, his manager, Jimmy Hart.
00:52That is double trouble for anybody.
00:55Look at this power.
00:59The push-ups with the mouth of the South on his back.
01:11And this place is coming unblood.
01:14And his opponent, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, weighing 234 pounds, Brett Hitman Hart.
01:27They are standing and cheering for the Hitman, making his way towards the ring.
01:33Fans reaching out for one of their heroes.
01:37And really, what a tremendous athlete.
01:43Every time he steps in the ring, we expect great things.
01:46We certainly do.
01:47And he never, ever lets us down in that department, either.
01:51Look at this crowd here.
01:52They're on their feet.
01:54They love Brett Hart.
01:56They know what a fantastic wrestler he is.
01:58The Hitman, Brett Hart.
02:05And Dino Bravo.
02:07Now, what a matchup this is going to be.
02:09It's obvious that the Hitman wants to stay away from the power of Dino Bravo.
02:14The question is, and we know that the Hitman is going to try to kick it in high gear.
02:19Can Dino Bravo stay with the pace of the Hitman?
02:21Now, look at that.
02:22Brett gives those special glasses to a youngster at the ringside there.
02:25He's a super, super person.
02:28This is one match, Tony, I have anticipated for a long, long time.
02:32And I'm pleased to see it taking place here at the London Arena, right in the heart of London's Dockland.
02:39They're jammed in here to this beautiful facility.
02:43Fans of the World Wrestling Federation, we're coming to you live on Sky One.
02:51Immediately, they tie up in a big push.
02:53And there is an example of that upper body strength that the big French Canadian possesses.
03:02And don't forget, he is the holder of the World Bench Press Record.
03:08A debatable record of that.
03:11Well, that's what everybody tells me.
03:12They say Jesse Ventura helped him a little.
03:15But in any case, he did press, bench press, cleanly and squarely, almost 700 pounds.
03:21But the world record he established was over 700 pounds.
03:25He backs away from the Hitman as the mouth of the South begins early.
03:33That psychological warfare.
03:34Now, sending Bravo to the ropes.
03:39Wow.
03:41A punishing power shown there by Bravo.
03:44He certainly is one of the greatest wrestlers in the world today.
03:48Bravo.
03:50Tremendous atomic drop.
03:53Bravo turning his attention away now.
03:55From the Hitman and to the fans here at the London Arena.
04:01The Hitman slow to his feet.
04:03That one went right to the throat.
04:05A warning from the referee.
04:06But that elbow was legal and on target.
04:09And right at this moment, Bravo being a little contemptuous of Bret Hart.
04:14In fact, he's storming in again.
04:16So he's throwing caution to the winds.
04:18Missing the clothesline.
04:21The elbow.
04:21The Hitman.
04:22And that's what it's going to do.
04:24Oh, what a great move.
04:26He picks up Bravo.
04:28Tremendous atomic drop.
04:30A drop kick.
04:32Found its mark on the big chest of Bravo.
04:34And the clothesline.
04:36Boy, the Hitman, when he gets on a roll, he is tremendous.
04:40And out goes Bravo.
04:42And you know, the fans will appreciate this at Berkeley's show.
04:45But realistically, that was a great move to get out of there.
04:48The best thing Bravo could do right then.
04:50Because Bret Hart was moving very, very quickly indeed.
04:53He'd mastered the whole situation.
04:55He weathered that first attack by Bravo.
04:58And he was really moving strongly.
05:00So Bravo, well advised, to be on the outside.
05:06Bravo, slow to get in.
05:09The Hitman is helping Bravo out basically by allowing the referee to stop his count on the 10 count.
05:16A lot of thumbs down from the fans.
05:19Oh, he got one right to the mat.
05:21And out goes Bravo once again.
05:25Bravo obviously didn't expect that.
05:27And that's when it hurts the most.
05:29When you're not looking for that type of a shot.
05:31You have no defense.
05:32Look at Bravo.
05:32Bravo, he's leaving the arena.
05:35He is walking back toward the dressing room area.
05:37You're right.
05:41And it's obvious that the mouth of the South has to do a lot of talking here to get Bravo back in.
05:48And he is indeed because the mouth of the South, Jimmy Hart, knows that should he walk out of the arena like that,
05:54not only is he going to lose all his purse money, he's going to get a heavy find.
05:59And this is where the mouth of the South is so important.
06:01We talked about how much he has done for the career of Dino Bravo.
06:04There's a point right there.
06:05Good judgment shown there by the mouth of the South.
06:11Hart ready.
06:12Yeah, he sure is.
06:13But the big Canadian goes right at him.
06:16And the native of Calgary goes right to the arm and sends Bravo down.
06:25Stretches the arm out.
06:27Bravo, we talk about the bench press power, Alfred, and the power in the arms.
06:31And, well, that's exactly now what the hitman is trying to do, to try to take the power away by working on the left arm.
06:37Yes, he's giving away a considerable weight advantage here to the big French Canadian.
06:42But that doesn't stop Bret Hart.
06:45He has that excellence of execution that very, very few wrestlers possess.
06:51In fact, he's probably the best wrestler when it comes to that type of function in the ring.
06:58Into the ropes now, and no way to knock that man off his feet, at least not right now.
07:05Down goes Bravo.
07:06The hitman gets some more momentum.
07:07Good leapfrog by Bravo.
07:09Great move.
07:11And the elbow right on target for the hitman.
07:15And, yes, again takes him down and off his feet.
07:20And right now, as far as Bret Hart's concerned, Alfred, he's back to square one where he wants to be.
07:24The hallmark of a good wrestler there.
07:27No, beg your pardon, a great wrestler.
07:31Wage your war against your man and come back to that hold, just like Hart is doing, to the left arm of Bravo.
07:37Come back to that hold where you can stay on top in a commanding position.
07:44Bravo trying to get up as the referee checks in.
07:47A good look at both the hitman and Bravo trying to get out of this.
07:53Now Bravo up.
07:55And this is where he's dangerous.
07:57He gets a blow into the midsection and sends now the hitman in.
08:01Blocked a close line.
08:02Oh, he just missed that.
08:04He tried a crucifix that time, but did not work.
08:07Oh, that was so close.
08:09I'm quite sure if Bret Hart had made that move there, we might have seen the last of this match.
08:14And it might have been a win in the victory column for that man, Bret Hart.
08:18We have to give Dino Bravo, Alfred, a lot of credit when he saw or felt that the crucifix was being applied.
08:23Basically, his move in defense is to get to the mat and get away from it.
08:28And that's what he did.
08:29He dropped down.
08:30Yes, he managed to slip out of that one.
08:32Good move by Bravo.
08:33Bravo finds himself, though, at the mercy of the hitman.
08:36Holding onto the arm.
08:37Those are real hard blows.
08:39You can see that.
08:41It staggers Bravo down to the left side of the ring.
08:44And he's back to the arm once again.
08:46The hitman is relentless here.
08:48Good reversal.
08:50Off of the ropes.
08:51The foot down its mark to the big chest of Bravo.
08:54And now looking to the fans.
09:00Mistake there by Bravo.
09:01He put his head down.
09:03And Hart is much too quick to miss an opportunity like that.
09:06Good moves by Hart.
09:07We are coming to you live from the London Arena.
09:12And the fans in London, not appreciative of those moves at all by Bravo.
09:20Right to the back.
09:21And the hitman's in trouble here.
09:25Yes, indeed.
09:25Kicking right out of the ring.

09:27Once Bravo gets on top, he is relentless.
09:30He won't let you go.
09:31And there's every possibility that once you go on the side of the ring like that, the big French-Canadian will come down after you.
09:38On the outside, the hitman trying to regain some composure here.
09:46He'll be back as quickly as possible.
09:49Right to the throat now.
09:50The hitman really at the mercy.
09:52And there's a big forearm.
09:55Hammer blow right across the chest.
09:58I'm rather surprised there, Tony.
10:00Hart really didn't take enough time outside the ring.
10:04He should have taken the count to his fullest before he attempted to get back in.
10:08Actually, he's doing that now.
10:10The hitman is on the apron on the far side.
10:13But Bravo's there to meet him.
10:15He's going to try the same thing again.
10:16And yes, he is on target once again.
10:21Really a difficult situation for the hitman.
10:23He sends him on the outside.
10:25He hit the safety rail on the far side that time.
10:27Look at him.
10:28He went right over the carpet on the outside and hit that hard floor.
10:34And quite honestly, that was a great move by Bravo.
10:38This man inside the ring is a power to be reckoned with
10:41among the top in the World Wrestling Federation.
10:44He is a superstar indeed.
10:48A hitman fan trying to encourage his hero on
10:52as Bret Hart is back to his feet.
10:56And the British fans are behind him.
10:58But Dino Bravo's been able to use a variety of moves here
11:01to keep the hitman on the outside.
11:04And now Bravo's down with him.
11:05And this could spell trouble for the hitman.
11:07Oh, he's going to try to bring him into the ring.
11:09And I really think that has helped the hitman, if anything,
11:13to get him back inside.
11:14No, I don't think so, Tony.
11:16What Bravo wants to do here?
11:17Look at this.
11:18Oh, he's doing it.
11:19No, he's out, Alfred.
11:20In a two count.
11:21He wants a clean one, two, three right in the middle of the ring.
11:24That's the most prestigious move there is in wrestling.
11:27Every wrestler tries for it.
11:29Get that one, two, three count right in the middle.
11:31Then everybody knows you've beaten that man squarely.
11:37Still trouble now for one Bret Hitman Hart.
11:42The fans clapping, stomping.
11:45And the hitman back to his knees.
11:48So maybe Bret Hart coming back here.
11:51He's up to one foot.
11:52Gets an elbow in.
11:57Here he comes.
12:00The ropes.
12:00Oh, gigantic clothesline.
12:03It really sent him to the mat.
12:05Bravo thinks it's the right moment.
12:07No.
12:08The hitman's out again.
12:11Bravo moving very, very quickly in this match.
12:14In fact, he's looking better than I've seen him for a long time.
12:17Tony, he's really on top of his form.
12:19Bret Hart struggling in the beginning
12:22and now struggling in the middle part of this match.
12:25The point is,
12:26is he going to allow Bravo to take this much away from him?
12:30Well, the question is here,
12:31is he beyond or above his pace?
12:34Every wrestler, as you know,
12:36in the World Wrestling Federation,
12:37Alfred has their own style and pace.
12:39Is it too quick maybe for Bravo
12:41and maybe in the later stages of the match
12:42will they come back to haunting?
12:44Well, that's hardly possible
12:45because Bret does like to set a very fast tempo
12:48and he's won many matches doing just that.
12:53Trying to rally behind Bret Hart.
12:55The thousands of fans.
12:57Jeff acted here with a side suplex.
12:59Wants the hitman to come back,
13:00but no, Bret Hart is out of it.
13:03And that was just raw power with that side suplex.
13:06A nice jump there by Hart!
13:09We have a two count
13:10and a club right to the back.
13:15Hart so close to snatching victory
13:18out of almost certain defeat just there.
13:22And I believe that frightened the Canadian,
13:24the big French Canadian.
13:25He's gone for that bear hug.
13:27A little ineffectual though.
13:30Hart goes back to a neutral corner,
13:32but a big headbutt there
13:33as Bravo shows another part of his arsenal.
13:35The hitman coming back!
13:37Grabbing Bravo by that big arm reversal.
13:42Oh, hitman hits hard!
13:44What a great move!
13:45Bravo covers!
13:47Bret Hart is on the ropes.
13:49He's been on the ropes to the left
13:51and it saved him that time.
13:52I surely don't like that move though.
13:54I would rather see Hart kick out.
13:56You can put your foot up on that bottom rope.
13:58The referee may be unsighted
13:59and you're finished.
14:01That's a one, two, three.
14:02And don't worry, you lose that much.
14:04Well, you are taking your chances, Alfred.
14:05No question about that.
14:07But when it's your only opportunity,
14:09then I guess it's all you can do.
14:11What a great camera shot that was just then.
14:13Look at that.
14:14Tony, right inside the ring with those two men.
14:17You couldn't be in a better situation.

14:25How much more can the hitman take?
14:27We've seen a tremendous clothesline.
14:29He was beaten on the outside
14:33by many kicks, stomps, and blows.
14:36He hit the turnbuckle very hard.
14:38He has taken a great deal of punishment
14:39from Dino Bravo,
14:41but he is still in this match.
14:43He hasn't given up at all.
14:46No, certainly not.
14:48Resilience is one of his big assets.
14:51And of course, execution,
14:53the perfection of that
14:54that we talked about before,
14:55his other great asset.
14:58Brett Hart, a great wrestler,
14:59but he needs all that greatness
15:01to see him through right now.
15:05Hart gets a blow in.
15:09He's gotten away with the bear hug.
15:12What a rake to the eyes.
15:14Gets Dino Bravo back in charge.
15:16Sending Hart in.
15:16He hits Hart that time.
15:18Oh, he was waiting on him.
15:19With the legs.
15:21Perfect timing by the hitman.
15:24He's up in the middle chainbuckle.
15:26Standing.
15:27Jumping and missing Dino Bravo.
15:29The fans really with him that time, Alfred.
15:34Yes, a little misjudgment there by Hart.
15:36I believe such was the force that he hit.
15:39Wow, look at this.
15:40What's he doing?
15:41Dino Bravo.
15:42How many times have we seen this?
15:44You can count him on one hand.
15:46Very few.
15:47You're right.
15:48And he missed.
15:49He wasted a lot of time.
15:51He tried a high-risk maneuver
15:53and it backfired on him.
15:55The hitman to the midsection
15:56once again on Bravo.
15:57And again to the head.
16:00Bravo reeling up against the ropes

16:03Here we go for the ride to the right side.

16:13And this time he hits him with that leg drop.

16:19And that was a cover by the hitman
16:22that didn't work.
16:23No, I think that was just a token cover there.
16:26This is more like it.
16:28Hooks the leg.
16:29And now Bravo powering out with the legs.
16:31Forcing the break that time.
16:33But the hitman is not through with Dino Bravo.
16:36He goes with a backbreaker.
16:37We've seen Dino apply that many times himself.
16:40And Bravo is out once again.
16:41So both men able to take
16:43a lot of punishment in this match.
16:45And that's exactly what we expected, Tony.
16:48Both men in tremendous condition.
16:50But a little loose, that cover by Hart in the beginning.
16:53From behind.
16:54Now pushing to the ropes.
16:56And Bravo held on to the ropes with a hitman.
16:58You can see him waiting on him.
17:00Turn around, says the mouth of the south.
17:02And he does.
17:03Right to the feet.
17:07Once again, some great timing, Alfred.
17:09And out goes Dino Bravo.
17:11Just a superb showing here by Bret Hart.
17:14Don't forget.
17:15Watch out.
17:18Spectacular move over the top.
17:21Right on Dino Bravo.
17:22That was breathtaking.
17:23Oh, it really was.
17:25Nobody expected that.
17:26Least of all, Bravo himself.
17:28I'm afraid Bravo had been a little nonchalant earlier in this match.
17:32He better forget that now.
17:33And concentrate on trying to beat Hart.
17:35Now both men on the outside.

17:38The hitman hit on the small of his back, I believe.
17:41A chorus of boos from the fans here in London.
17:44That's Bravo.
17:47A little bit of showboating.
17:49Showing the fans that he has plenty left.
17:51But both men, as you can see, Bravo with hands on his legs.
17:55Both men have taken a great deal of punishment here.
17:58They have indeed.
17:59A lot of really polishing blows have been absorbed by both men.
18:04But Bravo, I believe his confidence has been shaken by Bret Hart.
18:08Hart over the top.
18:10He slipped in, Alfred.
18:11He rolls up Dino.
18:12Bravo.
18:13No.
18:14Bravo.
18:15Rolling up the hitman.
18:17He got it.
18:18Here is your winner, Canada's strongest man, Dino Bravo.
18:32So Dino Bravo with the roll up on the hitman to the chorus of boos.
18:37And this victory was definitely earned.
18:42It was really a hard struggle there.
18:45And here we see a replay of exactly how this victory was achieved by Bravo.
18:50Watch this very, very closely and very carefully.
18:52Because he pulls a handful of dice first to secure that hold.
18:56Then comes down on top of Hart.
