Santa hotline returns with free calls from thousands of payphones for Aussie kids

Telstra has brought back its Free Calls to Santa hotline for 2025, with kids across the country able to use payphones to share their Christmas wishlists direct to the North Pole. Vision courtesy: Telstra

00:00From now until Christmas Eve, kids can call Santa for free from any Telstra pay phone across Australia.

00:07There are more than 14,000 Telstra pay phones across the country, so there's bound to be one nearby.

00:13And dial hash ho ho ho, which is hash 464646, and they're connected straight to my workshop at the North Pole.

00:22Even when the main line is closed, kids still keep calling.

00:25Since Christmas last year, we've had nearly 100,000 calls.

00:30That's about 300 a day from kids just wanting to say hello.
