Bianca Jones remembered by former school after methanol poisoning in Laos

Mentone Girls' Grammar principal Natalie Charles read a statement on behalf of the Jones family during a memorial at her former high school. Bianca died alongside her best friend Holly Morton-Bowles during a backpacking trip through Laos in 2024.

00:20final goodbyes. The immense love shown by so many is a testament to the profound impact she had

00:27reflected in the scale of today's farewell. We remain committed to ensuring that awareness of

00:35Bianca, Holly and others internationally impacted by this tragic story continue. Their legacies are

00:43far too important to be forgotten and our children's lives too important not to protect.
