Leeds locals reflect on charity at Christmas

Is there a charity or cause that feels especially important to you at Christmas, and why that one? Do you think people feel more generous at Christmas, and what do you think drives that?

00:00A cause I think is really important at Christmas is the Children's Cancer Trust because I think

00:04even if kids are in hospital they still deserve a really nice Christmas filled with love and

00:08their family members at that time. A charity that's particularly close to my heart is called

00:12SNAPS. It's the special needs and parent support charity. I do some volunteering for them and I'm

00:18also a donator. The reason I am interested in SNAPS and it has a place close place to my heart

00:27is because my girlfriend's niece has Down Syndrome and it's been a very difficult few years for the

00:34family but the SNAPS charity have been very helpful and the activities that they put on and the care

00:41that they provide both to the children and also the parents has been invaluable. I think at Christmas a

00:46lot of people it like jogs a lot of people's minds of like a lot of kids will be giving away a lot of

00:52their old toys to then get their new ones but then the old toys will then be going to the kids that

00:56need it even more. So people are more given at Christmas.
