00:00Dr. Eli, you have a different view. You believe that everyone should name and we should have full transparency when the Epstein files are released.
00:08I do, actually. I think the public has the right to know all the names that were there.
00:15Again, we're not accusing anyone. We're not putting anyone on trial.
00:20Of course, the public opinion might give and take with that, might play with it.
00:24There's always the judgment of public opinion, but in fact, every victim has the right to know all the names.
00:31Every public opinion has the right to know all the names without necessarily saying that everyone who was there is a criminal.
00:39It's nothing like that, but it is out of transparency, out of the right to information for the American public.
00:45Eventually, it's a huge thing that I think too much reduction will simply create more chaos than actual answers.
00:55And more conspiracy.
00:56And more conspiracy theories, definitely.
00:58But then I guess some people would argue it's trial by media.
01:01And like Esther said, everybody should be able to have their day in court or have their right to prove their innocence and not be guilty by association.
01:12But let's talk a little bit about the MAGA base at the moment, because Esther mentioned that it's deep religious.
01:21And I really feel like the Epstein files has been this rare occasion where Trump has conceded to his MAGA base.
01:28And we've seen the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene.
01:31She was such a staunch supporter of Donald Trump.
01:34Break ranks.
01:35Well, again, definitely, I think there was a lot of pressure with any Republican congressmen and women who decided to go the other way and to really pressure for the releasing of the files.
01:49I think if we try to look and understand what is the MAGA made out of, we could say that it is maybe three key groups.
01:57The first group is definitely the Christian conservatives that were motivated mainly by anti-wokeism and all that push in the U.S. to revoke what's happening and having that in government policies and so on.
02:13The second group is anti-establishment.
02:16And again, with all these names are there who are part of the establishment, it was perceived that Trump was protecting this establishment and reassociating himself to it once again, which again made them very angry.
02:30The third group, which I think also is key to Trump's MAGA constituency, is the traditional Republicans, the other Trumpers, as Esther told me.
02:40They accord, you know, the corporations, the tobacco companies, the weapon companies and so on.
02:46And these definitely would have preferred not to have a big chaos on their hand, neither for the economy, neither for the public image and so on.
02:53But I guess the group that was more in size and more influential and was able to attract several of the key Republican members was successful in this time.
03:05And again, for me, it's a democratic principle where actually the people will dictate on the leader a few things and not only the other way around.
