00:00Here in southern Taiwan, the Navy has invited members of the press for a sneak peek at its
00:05annual open-base events, featuring demonstrations and weapon displays.
00:09The military says the goal is to make national defense feel more approachable and to gain
00:14more public support.
00:19Music performances, rifle drills, and a martial arts demonstration.
00:24The military hopes this show of its capabilities will give the public a glimpse of Navy life.
00:29Through the launch of the military, the weapons and weapons of experience, and the various

00:45Amphibious combat equipment, missile systems, drones, and portable weapon systems are all
