During the event, President Donald Trump acknowledged Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the Governor of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, with a light-hearted remark. Spotting him in the audience, Trump commented, “Yasir’s here someplace. I see him dress both ways. I don’t know, it’s cooler that way. I’d dress that way if I could.” The comment—an apparent joke about Al-Rumayyan’s attire—quickly drew attention online, fueling reactions ranging from amusement to criticism depending on political leanings.

00:00Governor of the Public Investment Fund. Where's Yasser? Yasser's here someplace.
00:07Sometimes I can't. I see him dress both ways. I don't know. It's cooler that way. I'd dress that
00:13way if I could. Yasser's terrific. He's a terrific man, actually. So thank you very much, Yasser.

00:25Sometimes I can't. I see him dress both ways. I don't know. It's cooler that way. I'd dress that
00:34way if I could. Yasser's terrific. He's a terrific man, actually. So thank you very much, Yasser.
00:42This week, our country's also signed groundbreaking agreements on civil nuclear energy, critical
00:48minerals, and artificial intelligence. And I want to congratulate a lot of the great American leaders,
00:53business leaders that are in the room. And they'll do a great job for Saudi Arabia and for a lot of
00:59other people in the room that are buying your product, taking your product, and using your
01:04product. All of that is in addition to the $600 billion investment in the United States that
01:11Saudi Arabia announced during my unforgettable visit there last spring. Well, I said, could you try and
01:17get that up to a trillion dollars? And yesterday, the crown prince announced that the number that
01:23they'll be investing in the United States is $1 trillion. So that's really a dollar.
01:28And we just took a picture backstage with some of the great business leaders and some of the
01:39great people, friends of mine from your country, and beautiful picture. And while we were taking
01:45the picture, I said, could you make it $1.5 trillion? So he's got something to think about. I don't know.
01:52We'll get something. I think we'll get something, Scott, right?
01:55But many of you in the room are playing a key role in making these projects happen. And we're told that
02:02$270 billion in agreements and sales are being signed between dozens of companies. And that's just
02:08happening today. $270 billion. That's big stuff.
02:14So on behalf of the thousands of American workers who I care about most, I want to thank you for bringing
02:21all those jobs and all those great opportunities to America and bringing great wealth to America.
02:28In four long years, Joe Biden secured less than $1 trillion. In nine short months, I've secured
02:38$18 trillion to rebuild our factories, create hundreds of thousands of jobs, and bring back those
02:47beautiful words, beautiful words, made in America. So think of that. He did less than a trillion in four
02:53years. And in nine months, we've done more than $18 trillion. Okay? That's called success.
03:01So it's just one example. Under the deals being signed this week, workers at GE Aerospace, I think he's here.
03:08Where is he? Stand up. What a job you've done with your new engines. And where are you?
03:15You're there. It's not a very good location for you. I think you have been amazing. Great new engine
03:22that's supposed to be more efficient, more powerful, and less costly. That's not a bad combination.
03:29But GE Aerospace will soon be delivering dozens of new airplane engines for 787 Dreamliners in
03:35Saudi Arabia's commercial fleet. Big order. It was a big order just secured. Every new job and every new
03:42factory created by these announcements builds up our middle class and strengthens. It really strengthens
03:47the industrial backbone of America. And, you know, I view it differently. I used to view it as it's great,
03:53great, great. The stock goes up. I view everything as jobs now, because I don't care. I care about jobs.
03:58And we have more jobs. It was just announced. We have more jobs right now than we've ever had in the
04:06history of our country. Those are big numbers. You know, it's like crazy. It's a great, just a great
04:10stat. More jobs today than we've ever had in the history of our country. And we're going to be
04:16producing a lot more. A lot more are coming.
