One of the many features of the free AccuWeather app is the ability to monitor weather for multiple locations anywhere. Chief Meteorologist Jon Porter demonstrates how you can access this feature.

00:11We have many tools in the free AccuWeather app to help you to stay safer and make the best decisions.
00:16And I want to show you what the home screen of the free AccuWeather app looks like when you download it.
00:21And you can download it by opening up your smartphone camera and scanning the QR code on the screen.
00:26That will bring you to a page to download the app.
00:28On the top here you can tap in any, get the forecast with AccuWeather's proven superior accuracy for any location around the country, around the world.
00:37You just type it in.
00:38So we'll go over to Dallas, Texas here today and you'll get your latest local AccuWeather forecast.
00:43Now I can press that plus sign and I will have that added to my list when I go back to the home screen.
00:49I now have a tile for Dallas, Texas.
00:51Many people when I talk to them about how they use the AccuWeather app, they tell me they love to have not only their current location,
00:57which will load in automatically, but then they put in where their kids live or where their parents live,
01:02other family members or friends or maybe where they're heading on a business trip next week.
01:06You can put that all as tiles on the free AccuWeather app.
01:09You can tap on them and get the more detailed forecast.
01:12And they'll look at the language that AccuWeather experts are using here for today.
01:16We're talking about severe weather expected at night, that's tonight in Dallas.
01:20Be alert and have a way to receive warnings.
01:22And we're talking about tonight the risk for thunderstorms that could bring damaging winds, flash flooding and hail.
01:28A great time to make sure that you have warnings activated.
01:30Go in the upper right hand corner of the app, type or press on settings.
01:35Go into manage notifications.
01:37Make sure government warnings are turned on for your current location and any other location that you care about.
