00:00Hello everyone and welcome back where today the Astarte team has another Bellum gameplay update
00:04for you. Founders Pre-Alpha Testing kicked off a few months ago and has been going splendidly.
00:08Their feedback and contributions are already making a major impact on development and helps
00:12us to prepare for supporter testing. Speaking of supporters, if you missed the big news,
00:16November 21st is when the Bellum Closed Alpha tests begin, so if you're looking to get hands
00:20on as soon as possible, make sure to head over to playbellum.com and pick up a supporter copy.
00:24Keep in mind that the Closed Alpha will be run in a series of controlled sessions just like
00:27our Founders Testing, this ensures that we can pull meaningful and efficient data.
00:31As far as development news, we've been working very hard to bring several major systems to life.
00:35This includes a critical transition to Unreal Engine's gameplay ability system,
00:38the completion of our new inventory framework, a new sleeker medical menu,
00:43expanded weapon functionality across the board like magazine checking into reloads,
00:47and the implementation of grenade launchers like the GP25 and M320. As mentioned in our launcher
00:54milestone, these weapons will use our in-house ballistics and fragmentation systems,
00:58meaning that getting small will actually make a difference in survivability.
01:02Now, on to gameplay. We found the best way to show the current state of Bellum wasn't through
01:05cinematic cuts or heavy edits, but through raw, genuine footage. In this video, we're sharing two
01:10rounds of our attrition game mode, where the goal is to attract the enemy out of lives and push them
01:13out of the zone. As a development team, we use this mode to really fine-tune Bellum's firefights,
01:18but it's also one of the win conditions in our larger occupation game mode, which we'll be showcasing soon.
01:22Finally, as a reminder, this is still a very early development build from pre-alpha testing.
01:27You'll see bugs, glitches, rough edges, and unfinished elements. Things that you see now
01:30are bound to change and improve over the coming months. But that pretty much wraps it up. We
