A ceasefire deal has been reached to end the war in Gaza, mediated by US President Donald Trump. According to the transcript, hostages could be released as early as Monday or Tuesday, with the official signing expected in Egypt. One speaker noted the primary goal: "The first thing we're doing is getting our hostages back. And that's what people wanted more than anything else." Israel stated the ceasefire would commence after its cabinet's approval, starting a 72-hour countdown post-signing. The agreement was concluded in Sharm el-Sher, with contributions acknowledged from the Emir of Qatar, President Sisi, and President Erdogan. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin, and the two leaders also reviewed trade progress. The deal was presented as a significant development, occurring two years after the atrocities of Hamas mentioned in the transcript.
