Japan has filed a formal complaint against China after a viral video appeared to show a senior Chinese official speaking to a Japanese diplomat with his hands in his pockets—imagery widely interpreted as disrespectful.
Tokyo says the clip misrepresents the meeting and accuses Beijing of arranging press coverage without proper coordination.
