00:00Well, as Ariana Grande is getting ready for Wicked for Good, which it does sound like it
00:05might be the biggest premiere of the year. The biggest presale in movie history.
00:10Uh-huh. On Fandango, anyway. Whatever that's worth. But she's also talking about her music
00:17career. Seems like she's ready for a little break. She went on Amy Poehler's podcast to
00:23obviously talk about Wicked, but also had this message for her fans, her music fans.
00:28I do know that I'm very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen
00:33again for a long, long, long, long time. Sure. You know, so I'm going to give it my all and
00:38it's going to be beautiful. And I'm so grateful that I think that's why I'm doing it. Because
00:42I'm like, one last hurrah. Perfect. For now. For now. Then you really appreciate it when
00:48you get to go back to it. So much more. And like you are able to do better by that art
00:55form because you're appreciative and really able to feel present in it.
01:00God. Does this mean that she wants to spend more time acting?
01:03I don't know. All I know is that what a great gig that you could do. I'll take a couple of
01:08years, three years off. I'd take some time off. But this annoys me.
01:11Nice work if you get it. You saw Wicked last night.
01:14I did see Wicked last night. 10 out of 10. It already has 71% of Rotten Tomatoes, by the
01:18way. So I have the numbers. 71%. So it was amazing. It's not 100 or 90. The first
01:26one was better. But in terms of her touring, I mean, it's been over 10 years. Her
01:31first tour was in 2013. So she's been, you know, out and about performing for a
01:35while. So now leaning back into acting. I've been working since 1960-something.
01:39Okay. But touring. I haven't had a break.
01:42No, I mean, come on. She's been touring since 2013.
01:45Okay. Yeah, but going on tour is so extraneous. Now she's doing it for acting.
01:50I tried. You chose the wrong profession.
01:52There you go. Anyway, she, I'll tell you, these premieres, I remember like you do one
02:01big premiere in Hollywood. Last night's premiere in New York was what the, it's the fourth that
02:07I can count. Yeah, right. Because she obviously just had that one in Singapore. She like went
02:11out to Europe as well. So this is like one of the first ones. I think LA might be
02:15next week. Okay, not that I want to pit people against whatever, but who's better?
02:18Cynthia Erivo or Ariana Grande? Oh my, of course this is the question. Well, you know
02:23that they were both nominated. Cynthia Erivo was for the first part. You're avoiding the
02:27question. She's the second part. Well, I guess we'll see if she wins.
02:30I don't vote. It's the Academy. But if you did?
02:35Oof, that's tough. Oh, you got to go. They're the same. They're two different roles.
02:39I know, but you got to vote. Right. Well, who was better in their role? Come on, you got to vote?
02:42Who's brought the character more? I would say Ariana Grande for character wise, but Cynthia's
02:48voice. You got to have one. Come on. Come on. I can't bring money. Wait, you said Cynthia's
02:53voice was better? I like Cynthia's voice. I would have thought it would be the other
02:55way around. No, Ariana was very operatic in this, which I know she's supposed to be, but
02:59I like the belting, you know. All right.
03:02Bye.
03:03Bye.
03:04Bye.
03:05Bye.
03:06Bye.
03:07Bye.
