00:00These women have fought the most horrific fight that no woman should have to fight,
00:06and they did it by banding together and never giving up.
00:10And that's what we did by fighting so hard against the most powerful people in the world,
00:18even the President of the United States, in order to make this vote happen today.
00:22I was called a traitor by a man that I fought for five, no, actually six years for.
00:32And I gave him my loyalty for free.
00:35I won my first election without his endorsement, beating eight men in a primary.
00:41And I've never owed him anything, but I fought for him for the policies and for America first.
00:48And he called me a traitor for standing with these women and refusing to take my name off the discharge petition.
00:56Let me tell you what a traitor is.
00:59A traitor is an American that serves foreign countries and themselves.
01:06A patriot is an American that serves the United States of America and Americans like the women standing behind me.
01:15I beg you, President Trump, please stop making this political.
01:19It is not about you, President Trump.
01:22You are our president.
01:24Please start acting like it.
01:25Show some class.
01:26Show some real leadership.
01:28Show that you actually care about the people other than yourself.
01:32I voted for you, but your behavior on this issue has been a national embarrassment.
01:38I want everybody to take a look.
01:41I know everybody sees us today as grown adults, but we are fighting for the children that were abandoned and left behind in the reckoning.
01:50This is who you're fighting for.
01:52This is who Congress is fighting for.
01:54This is who the House of Representatives are fighting for.
01:57And hopefully the Senate will fight for us, too.
02:00And to the President of the United States of America, who is not here today, I want to send a clear message to you.
02:08While I do understand that your position has changed on the Epstein files, and I'm grateful that you have pledged to sign this bill,
02:15I can't help to be skeptical of what the agenda is.
02:19So with that being said, I want to relay this message to you.
02:23I am traumatized.
02:27I am not stupid.
02:29Don't muck it up in the Senate.
02:30Don't get too cute.
02:31We're all paying attention.
02:33If you want to add some additional protections for these survivors, go for it.
02:37But if you do anything that prevents any disclosure, you are not for the people, and you are not part of this effort.
