Farewell in Israel for Tanzanian hostage Joshua Mollel as family, nation grieve  A solemn farewell ceremony was held at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport for Joshua Loitu Mollel, the 21-year-old Tanzanian hostage whose remains were returned from Gaza earlier this month. 00:00A solemn farewell ceremony takes place at Israel's Ben Girion Airport for Joshua Laitu Mowell,

00:07a 21-year-old Tanzanian hostage whose remains were returned from Gaza earlier this month.

00:13Mowell had arrived at Kibbutz Nile Oz just 19 days before the October 7, 2023 attack.

00:20Hoping to gain agricultural experience, he could one day bring back home to Tanzania.

00:24A young man, Yeshua, with so much promise, had a dream to venture in agricultural field

00:31and contributed to the agricultural business after completing his internship in Israel.

00:38But the dream was cut short by this, by his brutal killing by Hamas, that fateful day.

00:46Indeed, his loss is devastating and deeply felt not only to the family,

00:53but also to the government and the peoples of Tanzania.

00:57There are now just three remaining deceased hostages still in Gaza.

01:01Israeli authorities have been exchanging the bodies of Palestinians for the remains of hostages

01:06as efforts to account for all those taken on October 7 continue.

01:11About 250 Israeli and non-Israeli civilians and soldiers were taken to the Gaza Strip.

01:17Meanwhile, the ceasefire in Gaza is largely holding, offering a rare moment of calm.

01:22But tensions remain high elsewhere.

01:24Israel is carrying out strikes on what it says are Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon,

01:29while IDF raids continue across parts of the occupied West Bank.
